Way back in 2000 I worked at a local business that had just opened. The owner of Pizza Mediterranean has to be the smartest guy because he dropped off a couple pizzas to us to get his name out there. It was such good pizza and we thought it was so nice of him that it became our regular place to order lunch. Here I am 17 years later and it's still my favorite pizza. Not only that but the salads are very good with very fresh ingredients and really anything I've ever gotten there has been great. Our Favorite pizza in Fairfield, I highly recommend it. Pizza med has the best thin crust pizza in the Black Rock/Fairfield area. The staff is very friendly and the pizza is always made with a perfectly crunchy, thin crust and is always made with care. I do NOT recommend this place. Whatever sauce or dressing that is on the food you order is loaded on a ridiculous amount. My first experience I felt very sick after eating the pasta; this time I emphasized NO MEAT on my panini and expecting they listened I began eating it when I got it and there was chicken on it... I'm a vegetarian. That is unacceptable, I can't tell you how upset and angry I am. I will NEVER order from this place again and I hope I'm saving you the mistake as well. read more

I stopped in yesterday, I ended up NOT ordering pizza because I got distracted by their huge menu selection! In addition to different styles of pizza they have sandwiches, grinders, grill items like hamburgers, appetizers like wings and calamari, salads, stuffed breads... everything looks pretty decently priced also! I ended up ordering a yummy (big!) chicken sandwich that was only like $5... And yes the homemade focaccia samples were out and it they are super yum! Check your pizza before you leave. Ordered a Claim pizza Friday night during lent. When I got home and opened the box there was bacon, called to let them know someone made a mistake, things do happen, they said that I ordered it wrong, why would I order a claim pizza during lent with bacon, said they would have manager call me back, still waiting its now the next day Saturday evening!! BTW: the pizza was some greasy oily pie!! Everybody has a bad day but not returning a phone call means they just don't care!! read more

It's hard for me to understand how this place could receive so many positive reviews. There are many excellent pizza establishments in Fairfield and this is not one of them. The crust was soggy and the toppings were very bland. I've had better pizzas from the frozen food aisle at the local supermarket. Very disappointing. read more

Elm City Special is our favorite...Fresh Sliced Tomato, Fresh Basil, Mozzarella, Fresh Garlic, White Sauce. The pies are thin crust and slices stand out straight like a good slice should! Quality ingredients all around. Mon-Thurs they have "pick up large plain cheese" for $8.45. If you stop in to pick up your pie they always have a plate of their excellent Mediterranean focaccia waiting for you....bet you can't have just one piece of that. read more

This place is the worst if you have a complaint! I have had several over cooked pizzas over the past few weeks and they didn't want to hear about it! No one wants a burnt pizza with dried out cheese. They should apologize and make another. Maybe give one complimentary. Nope. That's not what happens. Instead you are treated like you are wrong for not wanting a burnt pizza. Just ordered from here for the first time. Took almost 2 hours to get a delivery and what arrived was mediocre tasting (at best). Have been searching for a go to pizza place in Fairfield... after this will keep looking. Planet Pizza of all places trumps this. Was highly disappointed. The 'meat lovers' pizza was generously topped.... with what tasted like several day old sausage, a bit of pep, meatballs, etc. The sausage must have been near 'need to throw away' as it was overly heaped on this pie. The crust was charred, and the top of the toppings burnt. Maybe it was one of the 'off nights' that one of the other reviewers mentioned but this one night was enough for me. read more

Their pizza rocks! I buy cigars in the same shopping strip. I cannot walk buy without buying a slice or two. Try the Quattro Formaggi white pizza. There are only two Formica tables to eat in so plan accordingly. I think they do a big takeout and delivery business. read more

F you don't care about customer service and enjoy being disrespected, well congrats ! This is the place for you. This place is the absolute worst. I ordered with them through Grubhub and after waiting over an hour for my food, I called the restaurant. The person on the phone insisted that the driver was outside and had been outside. I told him that I live on a secluded street and there's only two cars outside and one of them is mine. The other is my neighbors. He continued to argue with me and then told me he would call me back. Never called me back. I called back two more times. By the third phone call I'm now annoyed and tell him to just cancel my order. He catches an attitude and continues to tell me the driver is outside and blames me for not seeing him. I ask to speak to a manager and he refuses, says his manager is unavailable. I ask for the restaurant address and he proceeds to hang up on me! Then when I contacted Grubhub it turns out that the driver is an employee from this restaurant. Pizza places are a dime a dozen, you would think you would care more about customer service when you're providing something someone can get literally anywhere else. Hope they go out of business. read more

My work constantly places lunch/dinner orders with this place. At least 2-3 times a week. Today I decided to order the dinner portion of chicken francese which is $15. I cut one if the chicken pieces and found a bloody pink center. When I called to let them know the guy gave me an attitude and told me he knows that they were cooked well. I wanted my money back after that. They said "ok, 1 hour or drop it off here". I work at a very busy salon, I couldn't just leave. 3 hours later... I'm still waiting. They just lost a couple hundred dollars in business a week. Don't risk your health eating here! read more

A hidden gem in Fairfield. Located off Black Rock Turnpike by Tunxis Hill in a small strip mall of stores you'll find some fabulous pizza! I know competition for pizza in Fairfield and New Haven County is stiff. You've got Colony, Pepe's, Fire Engine, Modern, Sally's, Malto just to name a few. Well, three stars is a-ok. So, that sounds pretty good. It is a nice simple thin crust pizza always served with a smile and a thank you from the owner. I live not far and order from them often. It is not my all time fav pizza, but, it is good. They have nice salads of different kinds as well. Yes, it can come over or under cooked at times, but, never not worth eating.......I know this sounds like a questionable review, but, overall, it is a good place. I liked the pizza most of the time, but it's hit and miss on the quality. I ordered xtra cheese after repeated pies with too little, and twice paid for xtra but actually got less cheese! I went in to order my next so I could explain what happened and ask in person for xtra cheese- the owner got mad, CALLED ME A LIAR, and claimed I was the first complaint he has EVER gotten. really? check any review site and it is clear I am no where near the first. I will miss the thin crust as I eat pizza at least twice a week, but that was the most unbelievably rude treatment I have ever gotten from the owner of a business. I am writing this as I am eating a large pepperoni from Fairfield pizza. ; D I would have rather had one of med's hit pies, but I will refuse to pay another dollar and cross my fingers. read more

I've ordered from this place a few times because its convienent and the delivery time is usually quick. I once ordered the chicken alfredo and it was absolutely delicious. I just had to get it again the next time I ordered. However, this time was utterly disgusting. The sauce was bland,they used soggy breaded chicken and the noodles were overcooked. I gave the place another chance for breakfast and I literally spit out the sausage egg and cheese the instant I tasted it. They gave me a pickle with it, which I thought was strange, the eggs were overcooked and sausage was super spicy. I don't understand why Pizza Med is so inconsistant, but for that, it'll be my last time ordering here. read more

Confused at how many positive reviews they are getting. Ordered a white pizza with sausage and was assaulted by the amount of garlic. There were spoonfuls of minced garlic on top, as well as whole cloves hiding under the cheese! Not only was this pizza inedible, causing me to totally lose my appetite, but when I called to ask for a refund, they were very rude and told me that "It was a normal amount of garlic"- which I find ridiculous. Not a hard fix for them to keep a customer. NEVER ordering from there again. BIG disappointment. read more

love this place! we order from pizza mediterranean at least once or twice a week. the delivery is always extremely fast and friendly, and the food is great. the pizza is phenomenal, try THE White Pizza. outstanding combo of toppings. triple deckers and wraps are consistently good, and theres a wide variety of salads. the tomato, mozzarella, basil salad is a must try. the location is easily overlooked but don't shy away! give this place a try, you will be happy you did read more
