I had the braised special of the day which was the short ribs served with rosemary potatoes, green beans and broccoli. It was seasoned to perfection and the meat just fell apart it was so tender. My wife had the best Penne ala Vodka made with a very light and sweet sauce and not the heavy cream base cause you usually get. Plenty of pancetta and some onions in perfect balance. Plenty of shrimp as well. I almost forgot. We had the Burrata as a starter. It was platted like a five star meal and was delicious. Creamy Burrata , prosciutto with cherry tomatoes, arugula and EVOO. It set the expectations high and was delicious. A great portion size that was great to split. They easily accommodated our dietary restrictions. While I cannot say with certainty what happened, I suspect there may have been some form of cross-contamination in the kitchen, whether from gloves, utensils, or food handling procedures. What made the experience even worse was the interaction with the manager, Cindy. I found her to be rude, dismissive, and lacking the customer service skills expected in a hospitality setting. Rather than showing concern for a guest with a serious food allergy, her attitude left us feeling unwelcome and unvalued.
