Sorry to say I tried pizza pie.. butler Location north main ext.. for the first time today I ordered a steak sandwich and and an Italian sandwich.... as far as I'm concerned if your menu claims there is mozzarella and provolone cheese on a sandwich.....I would expect to see cheese on said sandwiches.....this was not the case the steak sandwich was edible but not great the Italian sandwich had no flavor and smelled like a urinal cake I pissed on at a truck stop bathroom.... literally had a bathroom cleaner chemical smell and couldn't even finish half of a 12" sandwich.. literally the grossest things I've ever paid 10 $ a piece for read more

We have tried this place a few times in the past couple months and have really enjoyed it! They use a sweet sauce for the pizzas which we like. We have tried various types of there pizzas and liked all of them, our favorite is the Sicilian which is square and has a crispy bottom. The salad special is nice for 10$ also, filling. I found Pizza Pie to be my favorite place until today. The one on route 8 in Butler, PA. I ordered a Calzone with pepperoni, bacon and sausage with mild wings and ranch dip. I didn't realize that their bacon was bacon bits. The mile wings had hot sauce on them, normally when I order mild wings, there is no sauce on them, just fresh out of the fryer. To make it worse their special ranch sauce was a packet of Ken's Ranch sauce, one of the worst to ever be produced. I called about the wings, but the manager said to return the wings right away and he would investigate, but he personally saw them put mild sauce on the wings. Again, mild means no sauce. I replied that I had the order delivered because I didn't have a car at my disposal. Anyways, my favorite pizza place just got dropped to my never order again pizza place. read more

Wow! I was surprised to find a really good pizza in Butler. Once there were lots of outstanding Italian restaurants in the area. Too bad Butler has become a food desert with exception of Pizza Pie and the Chop Shop. We ordered around 8:45 pm because every other pizza joint was closed or didn't answer on a SATURDAY night. What up Butler? This inconvenience turned out to be the best thing ever! Our pie was delivered HOT not lukewarm. The pepperoni was spicy and not greasy. The sausage was VERY tasty and of the hot Italian variety but crumbled so small I didn't recognize it as meat. Plenty of mushrooms. Crust was just right with a little crunch and not overly doughy and it was sauced to perfection! Pizza Pie, I will award you 5 stars when you use fresh mushrooms and use less crumble on the sausage. read more

Order three XL pizzas with very light sauce. got home and all of them were not light sauce at all. Called and spoke to manager who said sorry but we put less than usual on it and I can't do anything for you. This waa very alarming because they have a stament in window saying they are better than the chains and to go with them instead. I would have got the treatment from a chain manager that I did from this one. I have run pizza shops and know the mark up on it and it's not a bank breaker to make things right for your customers. Affordable and passable pizza. The sauce is very sweet, cloyingly so. Toppings are good, and the dough is very good. I just can't get over the sauce. For dough lovers like me, it's nice to see a shop that doesn't use pre-made shells... like their predecessor. Just had a Tradition pie with sausage and pepperoni, it was outstanding, the crust is superb again and the red sauce was really good, not that sour stuff that tastes like it's gone bad like so many other pizza places uses. The sauce wasn't sweet by any means, it just wasn't sour. I have no problem recommending Pizza Pie to anyone that likes good, Real Handmade pizza. read more
