We have been buying pizza from Pizza Planet since moving here in 2009. The owner, Mo, is always welcoming and friendly. We consistently order the "Veggie Delight" and add sausage. It's absolutely delicious. But others are right, the shop itself is pretty spare: a couple tables and bright fluorescent lighting. It doesn't invite eating in; it's best for take out. read more

Yes they're right, don't let the location scare you away. It seemed to be more of a local's place and that's exactly what i was looking for. It looked like a family owned place, and the guy that looked like the owner of the restaurant was really accomodating and friendly to all the customers young and old. Some kids would just run inside and order a pizza for themselves. That's how casual it was. There was also another woman that came to order pizza with her son, the owner gave him a little Crunch chocolate to make him happy. We ordered the small round of roasted garlic chicken, and it was amazing. I was more satisfied than I would have ever been walking out of those other overpriced restaurants in the middle of Old Town Paso. Granted it was a bit too salty (i think they added extra salt on top), I still loved its freshness and good combination of flavors. I have family members who live in Paso Ca and everytime we go visit we pass by this pizza place. It's the best tasty pizza we ever had. The owner Mo is so kind and generous always smiling. Let me just say. This was the very worst pizza I have ever had!! No kidding, so bad I asked them to refund me my money (of course they didn't). We were on vacation and my wife wanted something simple quick and tasty. I saw they had good reviews. Big mistake!!! It was like cardboard the garlic was overpowering but more disturbing was I would bet money that it was old and poorly reheated!!! They said 15 minuets I was there in 10 and it was waiting for me. The box was warm but I was in such a hurry I didn't pay enough attention. I admit that was my mistake. Shame on them for such substandard workmanship. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars and not 5 is because I wish it had a nice place to sit and eat there. Besides that this is seriously some of the best pizza I have had. I'm in love with the sesame crust and it's not too greasy. We had got a pepperoni, pineapple and olive pizza. It was perfect. And the lady who works there was super nice and friendly. We really like their pizza. There's not much ambiance in the place (only a few tables,) but every time we go in the staff (family) is very welcoming. It's nice to see such a genuine feeling from them, and we always try to patronize local and family-run restaurants. My favorite are the pesto chicken and Mediterranean pizzas. The sesame seeds and twirled crust set this apart from a lot of other places. We definitely will be back :-) read more

We don't have a lot of really good pizza places in Paso and this is better than most. I know the location but can't speak to the atmosphere because I've ordered delivery only. The person taking orders is to the point but friendly. Delivery is fast and the pizza always arrives hot. Garlic chicken pizza is one of my favorites. It's flavorful but not over the top with garlic. The basics like pepperoni and mushroom are also good. It's a solid 4 and have have no relationship with anyone affiliated with this place and no reason to jack up the score. read more

One of the families I babysat for ordered Pizza Planet for us one night, and ever since I have been hooked! Pizza Planet is my favorite place for takeout pizza in Paso Robles. It is affordable and fast. As with most pizza places in this area, there's isn't any ambience for dining in, but my fiance and I love to get it to go. On the recommendation of our realtor, we gave Pizza Planet a try. And I am glad that we did. We ordered for delivery what we called a Gourmet White Chicken pizza, skip the onions and add green peppers. This pizza was delicious and was delivered on time and hot. We live in Salt Lake, Ut (at least for a few more months) and the closest that we could get to Pizza Planet quality was Papa Murphy, which is pretty darn good. This pizza is of the same high quality of one of our favorite pizza place, Anthony in El Paso, Texas. The crust was crisp and properly cooked, ingredients were fresh and well proportioned . The spices used were well regulated to enhance not obscure. The person we ordered from was also the one who delivered. She was pleasant, courteous and yet very professional. We recently rediscovered this place, eating here twice in Nov. 2011. No outdoor seating, and no room for a group, almost no room to eat in. They DO have the best pizza I have had in a long time! A little pricey, but SO good. The crust is thin and the sesame seeds add to the awesome flavor and texture, light and chewy, but not doughy. Just enough toppings for the amount of crust.. I have been going to Pizza Planet for years! They are so friendly and nice AND the pizza is awesome and their salads are good as well! They are very accommodating. We tend to order the same thing, and if the owner answers, he always recognizes me and calls me by name. They make it fast and will deliver, although it is a little cheaper if you pick it up. Their Roasted Chicken Garlic is amazing! Oh and their pizzas are BIG! Really it is the best value in town and totally delicious too. I recommend them hands down! Oh and one time, I was in there waiting for my pizza and a guy came in and picked up his pizza. He stepped out with his pizza and then came back in because they had undercharged him by accident. We love Pizza Planet. We started here by just getting the House salad and Antipasto salad. Loved those! Then we started ordering pizzas. In my opinion, the best pizza in Paso. (We have tried them all.) The family/owners are so gracious and kind. They always carry my order to the car. (I have a hurt hand.)
