My favorite restaurant in Brooklyn since childhood. I literally could sit and eat like 25 of their buffalo wings (ordered with the sauce on the side, so they're even MORE crunchy!) without taking a breath. I've been hoarding little takeout containers of the buffalo sauce in my refrigerator every time I order from them. The dinner rolls are to die for, and the Margherita pizza is a family favorite at my house. I grew up coming here with my grandmother for their linguini with white clam sauce, and my current favorite pasta dish is the linguini and broccoli with garlic and oil. It's so good you don't even need to add a protein to it. I'll take some pictures the next time I go (which will definitely be soon) though the food doesn't last long on the table. I've been here a couple of times the past two years. I've also had their food from a catered event before as well. The service has always been friendly and very accommodating. You can just order food to go or sit down and have waiter service. Their portions are pretty big for the price! I've never paid $8~ for a spinach roll before but this was HUGE. Wish I took a picture. Stopped in here on the way to the airport. What a great way to end my Big Apple adventure! Didn't think I was that hungry.. But the sandwich I ordered was too delicious to abandon. The sandwich was the one with pesto, thickly sliced Roma tomatoes and slices of baby mozzarella. The waiter mistakenly told me that the sandwich would be served warm and it wasn't. At first I thought that this would be disappointing but it was really much better this way.. Even two and a half weeks later, I am still salivating at the idea of this sandwich. The server was nice but a little too laid back for my liking. I'd recommend not checking this place out if you are in a rush. My husband got two slices of sausage and pepperoni pizza. There is a very nice, slightly older woman here who wears large glasses. If she is working behind the counter, she will make sure your experience is very pleasant. If she is not here, however, your experience will suffer. Pick up orders get sent out for delivery, delivery orders go to the wrong address, and the guys behind the counter take out their frustration on the customers - if something goes wrong, it's obviously the customer's fault. Came in from walking around on an extremely muggy and hot Saturday in Park Slope. My wife and I were a bunch of sweaty hungry yelpers looking for some grub. She had been here once and said I needed to check it out. The interior of this place was very welcoming. It is like a big country style kitchen mixed with hip Brooklyn style. The brick wall really makes the place look great in my opinion. The lady behind the counter was like a mother welcoming her kids in from a day outside playing. She had big smile and said take a seat and lets get you some drinks to cool down. The waitress came over and took our drink order. Quickly returned with them and then took our order. I got the pasta tortellini with sausage and marinara sauce. My wife got the baked ziti. It was a lunch special, so each meal was only $4.95!!!! Thats insane since it included a soda for me...my wife added a $1 to her meal and got a snapple. That my friends is a cheapo meal in Park Slope. I was a little hesitant about what was about to come out for under 5 bucks. The waitress placed a bowl of warm bread on the table and my wife, the bread expert, grabbed a roll, sliced it open and slathered on that butter so quickly because she was starving. She bit into it and gave me the "mmmmm" seal of approval. Trust me she is my yelp sidekick when it comes to breads and pastries, since she makes her own of both and knows her stuff. So our meals came out and they were decent, if not generous, portions for again such a cheap price. My pasta was good, bot great, but definitely not bad at all. Very tasty, just didnt blow my mind...but then again its simply a pasta meal with sauce. The sauce was sweet and I like them sometimes so that was good too and the sausages were a nice addition to this already good meal. My wife's ziti was very good and honestly when I go back will probably order that instead. They have a bunch of items to choose from on the lunch special menu from raviolis to spaghetti with brocolli and oil to many other great looking meals. 12-3 for the specials, but they do have so much more on the menu from great looking pizzas to delicious looking desserts. They boast "the best cheesecake in the world", but since I was seriously stuffed I never made it that far. Our 2 big meals, 1 snapple and 2 sodas came to $12.33 including tax. Low price, good meal and I will definitely be back to taste some more of this attractive joint on 7th avenue. Ordering delivery, they deliver to Prospect Heights Woo!, we opted for their small whole wheat pizza and a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato. The pizza is standard. Nothing amazing about their classic cheese with whole wheat crust but still good. Their grilled chicken sandwich is better than many I've had before. The chicken is moist, not dried out, like many restaurants. Delivery took about an hour and the woman who took my phone order called to let me know the delivery was on the way. I went to Pizza Plus for the first time tonight - my friend had been there before - and we both thoroughly enjoyed eating here. It is a nice casual place to have dinner. We split a 12" Margherita pizza. The crust was just about perfect and the fresh basil and Mozzarella cheese were very flavorful. We wanted to try their salad of the day but because they had run out of dressing, we opted to share a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was excellent but we would have preferred a tastier lettuce than iceberg and the dressing was much too thick. Adding a serving spatular for the pizza and serving utensils for the salad would have been appreciated. Our server was very nice and checked to be sure our waters stayed full which is something I personally always appreciate. Prices were reasonable to the Slope. Sometimes you don't need a fancy coal-oven artisan pizza. Sometimes you just want damn good pizza. And that is why I love Pizza Plus! Prices are insanely reasonable (small pie starts at $6.50) and they do that pie very well. (I'm partial to the simple glory that is pepperoni and black olives) The dining room is bright, clean and airy with lots of locals coming in and out, some just to say "hi." The proprietors are super friendly, and were very apologetic the one time our pie was later than usual. It was uber-busy and I could tell they were stressing, so no worries on our part. Only one note of caution: the infamous spawn of indulgent Park Slope parents can be pretty loud during weekends, so be warned! We've been hit with thrown crayons before (without an apology by the parent, but that's another story...) so we tend to take it to go and eat in the comfort of our couch. read more

To the Sloper on a budget- If you just can't live without your brunch even though you're not sure who you are going to make rent, Pizza Plus has a hidden gem of a brunch on the cheap- They have a pizza they call "The Continental"- three cheeses, egg, bacon and onion. My wife and I split a small one and a side of mozzarella and tomato, and the entire bill with tip was under $20. The pizza was really tasty, too. They may not be expensive, but they also don't skimp on the ingredients. And as far as pizza places in Brooklyn go, this one has one of the nicer decors in the area. read more

Tl;dr: This is the best tasting pizza for delivery. Two points distinguish this pizza joint from any other pizza joint in the area: tasty crust and fast delivery. I've stuck to simple pies with one or two toppings. They have always delivered in less than an hour a smoking hot pizza. The sauce is on the sweeter side and the cheese is plentiful with just enough toppings. Not too much and not too skimpy. But the most satisfying thing about their pizza is surprisingly the crust. Most pizza joints in the area have crusts that are bland and dry. I don't know what they do with their crusts but I hope they never change their recipe. Not so good, anymore. I don't get it. Went there pre-renovation and it was awesome - crisp crust, good sauce with nice garlic flavor, quality cheese. Came back post-renovation, and it was like pizza branded as New York Pizza found in a strip-mall in Ohio - thickish chewy crust with ketchupy sauce. The cheese was still good, but whatever. YUMMY VEGAN PIZZA! I like mine with extra cheese and vegan pepperoni. Pizza Plus uses Follow Your Heart Cheese on their pizza. Personally, when we bought Follow Your Heart cheese to use at home is was so gross but Pizza Plus uses magic to make it taste wonderful. They also make vegan calzones that are to die for. Just ask them what is vegan on the menu and they will help you out. The staff is very approachable and the lady that rings up your price (older lady that smiles alot) is so kind and friendly; She always strikes up a conversation and is always in the best of moods. When I found out this place made vegan pizza I had to try it. Having recently gone vegan I thought takeout pizza would be out of the question. The pie took about 20 minutes to come out but it was worth it. I twas delicious, savory and a little on the spicy side. The crust was thin and really crispy, maybe too crispy because when I would take a bite it would break off in sharp edged pieces and scrape the roof of my mouth. After the pizza was done I had a really, really, sore mouth. I took home the leftovers to freeze and I had it for lunch the next day. It's so great to have pizza with "cheese" that doesn't leave my face smelling like vomit. Me and a friend would call it "Pizza face."
