Main Squeeze: Lemon Icee & So Freaking Good
    Mercedes C.

Coming to Pino's on a late humid Sunday night for a slice and Lemon Italian Icee, seemed perfect after a Timmy Regisford rooftop party. So, with all the highs and lows here, I plan on bringing this crazy ride to an end in style. This Park Slope spot might not be the most obvious choice for good pizza or Italian Icee, but the latter, was striking all the right notes. If you judged this place by its facade, you would miss out on a truly amazing Lemon Italian Icee experience. And it doesn't even bring to mind: that particular franchise, mass-produced Icee like the one well-known place you see EVERYWHERE with a gazillion icee flavors. At. All. You're not getting Neapolitan pizza here- but their small, almost flat crust, thinner-than-usual slice for an ol' school joint, doesn't lag behind either. It has the right amount of a simple yet sauce without all those seasonings and a perfect amount of cheese without overloading the slice. And it didn't matter that I was following a low-carb diet- because after all was said and done, that shiit was good. Our shared slice and that wild Lemon Italian Icee were in the end were both cheap, fast and damn tasty.

    Sicilian Slice

Had dinner at Pinos La Forchetta Pizzeria on Monday night. This is a pizza spot to skip. Quality: I ordered three slices, and I did not find much to like about any of them. The Regular Slice was the best of the bunch, but it was a soggy greasy mess. The flavor of the cheese was off, and the end of the crust was tough to chew. The White Pizza was terrible. I'm not sure if it was because of how long it was sitting there, but the cheese seemed to just detach. The crust on this slice was even worse than the Cheese Slice, I couldn't even bite this one. The Sicilian Slice was also disappointing. It maintained the same off cheese flavor, and it failed to heat up consistently leaving the tomato sauce cold, yet the edges burnt. It was a mess. Quantity: Slightly larger than usual New York slices. Value: $3.50-$4.50 for a Slice. Lots of discounts and promotions. Ambiance: Pinos La Forchetta Pizzeria is located in Park Slope. It looks like your typical old-school pizza joint. Lots of ancient booths along both walls and the counter at the back. Two televisions, one in each corner, both showing baseball. Outside they had a street shelter with a few more tables as well as fans blowing inside to keep it cool. Crowd: Two kids waiting for a pie and two others grabbing slices. Service: Guys behind the counter seemed nice, but no attempts to wipe down used tables. Parking: Limited nearby street parking.

Pizza was freshly made. When I asked for additional toppings he gave me a paper and told me to do it myself. How rude. Didn't really appreciate the customer service could of been better.

Good eats! The bbq chicken pizza was amazing! I'd def go back for another slice. I liked that there was plenty of seats so you could truly enjoy the meal.

I wish I could've given zero stars. I waited at least two hours to get one single pizza. I live down the block from the restaurant. The first order the pizza was delivered in a very torn and soggy box. I told them to make it over and send it. I had to wait another 1.5 hour. Upon delivery the box was in tact but when I opened the box the pizza looked like it met into an accident. It hardly had tough and kept crumbling. Not to mention the slice of cake I ordered. I don't know if the delivery guy ate it or whatever but this is how I received it

    Meatball sub and mozz sticks

This is for delivery. Pino's was the first place I ever ate in Brooklyn. Way back in 1996, I was in the 'hood looking for an apartment and after seeing a bunch of places, I was starved so stopped by here for a slice. It was good but for some reason I never went back. Fast forward to 2013. I needed to carb load for the Brooklyn Half Marathon so was perusing Seamless and came across Pino's. Since I will soon be leaving Brooklyn, maybe it was a sense of nostalgia that made me click on Pino's. The bottom line is I'm glad I did. Mozzarella sticks were tasty and I liked the marinara sauce. Meatball sub was very tasty (should have ordered it with cheese, though). The baked ziti with sausage was delicious and so filling. I had it for three meals! I should have come back more than once in 17 years. I guess the old saying is true, you don't realize what you have until you don't have it any more. Soon I won't have Pino's...because there's really no way I'm taking the train in from Manhattan just to get a meatball sub.

I started ordering from Pino's after i saw a pizza my bosses had delivered to our bar and ive been ordering at least once a week both to work and my apartment ever since. Its always delicious, exactly what i ask for, and right on time every time. Couldnt recommend this place enough!

Baked zitti MmMMMMMMm so good fresh and cheesy

So when i walked inside i was amazed by the big menu on display. So many Italian choices. Pizza looked real good. I was hungry so i got baked zitti with ground beef. I dont really get this from many places or from a place im not familiar with. However deciding what place to go for lunch while in the area. This place seemed to stand out. The baked zitti was prepared in less than 15 minutes. It was worth the wait. It was a well portion size. They also gave garlic knots with it. I was very please with the food. The flavor the cheese the sauce everything was right about that baked zitti. I would def suggesg to come here if in the area. This place is great for the neighborhood. It seems like this plave gets busy and i see why.. do come here for a meal or a slice. I aint have a slice but if the baked zitti was good the slice must be too

Got a vegan roasted pepper pizza. 30$ delivery tipped the delivery guy too. Uhh wtf. How do I explain this? The toppings on top of the crust were slippery? Everything slipped off like it was sloshed on by a mid evil tyrant dishing out Goulash. I tried heating it up in the oven to get it crispier but that didn't work. I feel cheated. Like eating mush on crust. Dude on the phone hung up on me before I could ask if I could pay with card but my friend told me to call back (this was like 20 minutes after I called) so I did and gave them my card number and they said the dude delivering was already on his way and only spoke Spanish. Which is whatever cuz I'm bilingual. When the guy got here he spoke English fluently. Weird af gross pizza.

Passion project - delicious drink with notes of passion fruit, chocolate, and some spices. The others in my group also had the duck (which they found to be a bit overly loaded with duck fat) and the reginette (which they enjoyed). This place does get busy so recommend making reservations if you can. They have a pretty nice wine list to choose from along with different cocktail options. From the start, the food was delicious starting with the house bread which was warm and soft but still felt light. For dinner, I ordered the special for the night which was cacio pepe ravioli, while my husband got the tagliatelle verdi con ragu. Both of our pasta dishes felt extremely fresh. The ravioli was unlike anything Ive had before, with flavorful cacio pepe filling and a butter sauce with pancetta complementing the flavor. The tagliatelle was also delicious in a more ragu centric way, still offering a good balance of flavor. Both dishes were pretty filling and so neither of us could finish it. We ended the night with cannolis, which was a pleasant surprise to find 3 came in 1 order. One side is pistachio while the other had a coco dusting. These were again delicious but pretty filling and sweet so we could only eat one. The staff here was also very friendly and service was quick with food coming out much faster than I expected. Overall I would come back and try even more on their menu.

The bartender was quite friendly, and made me a Piccante (spicy tequila/lime/pineapple situation, with a tajin rim) that was solid. My wife wasn't too hungry, so we only ordered a couple items to share. The Insalata Marzamemi (quinoa, avocado, greens, seared tuna and more), and the ossobuco agnolotti. They brought us some complimentary rosemary bread and oil to dip it. I'm not one to look free bread in the mouth (I think that's the saying), but it was not my favorite bread service. Both the bread and the oil needed salt. But it was warm, and I appreciated the gesture. The salad and pasta were far better. Both were surprisingly large portions for the price (this is NYC in 2026), and paired quite well together. The salad was piled high with fresh ingredients, and there was a nice sear on the tuna. It was only a couple of dollars more than the Greek salad, and a steal. The ossobuco agnolotti with its pecorino fondue and veal sauce was rich, and quite filling. There were at least a 15 of the filled pasta pockets, and well worth the price. All in all, a solid stop for some good portions of Italian food at a good price.

And that's why the kitchen which is at the very back of the restaurant has full glass windows so that you can see exactly what's going on in there. I guess some of these mob guys were paranoid and rightly so consider considering their history. I arrived with my friend on a Wednesday evening about 6 PM and there were some scattered tables but by 7 PM it was mobbed (pun intended ) in there!! our waiter was affable and patient and a quite enjoyable fellow. Rating: 3.5/5 I…read morediscovered this restaurant on Instagram as one of the top Italian restaurants in NYC, so I decided to try it. It appeared to be family-owned in Williamsburg and consistently drew a large crowd throughout the day and night. Upon entering, I noticed the restaurant was keen to maximize seating, with diners placed very close to one another. The restaurant appeared to have a very old-school vibe; maybe that was the theme they were going for? The food ordered was: 1. Calamari - They weren't overly fried or coated with breading. Tender, and not rough. Flavorful enough; no sauce was needed (although it was included). A good appetizer. 2. Rigatoni with vodka sauce - Maybe it's my taste buds, but I thought the sauce lacked seasoning and flavor overall. The pasta was cooked well (al dente), but the lack of flavor from the sauce ruined the dish. I was really excited about this dish! 3. Cavatelli with Bolognese Sauce - I've had bolognese sauce before, & this dish was just weird. It felt like they just did it within 5 minutes of cooking time, & it was something you could've just made at home yourself with a jar of Prego sauce. It also lacked seasoning. 4. Chicken Parmigiana - I'm a huge chicken parmigiana fan, and I feel like it's always a must if you eat at any Italian restaurant. This dish was well seasoned, not overly fried, not heavily covered with cheese, and smothered in a good amount of sauce. The chicken wasn't dry either; it was tender. Weird part was it was served with a side of string beans & potatoes, not pasta. This was one of the best dishes of the night. 5. Chicken Marsala - Just like the chicken parmigiana, the chicken was tender & wasn't dry. It's easy to overcook chicken becoming dry, but the two chicken dishes weren't. Very flavorful & a good amount of mushrooms added for garnish. Same with the chicken parm, string beans & potato's as a side and not pasta. 6. Linguine with White Clam Sauce - I'm allergic to shellfish, so I did not try this dish, but my table said it was good. Overall, I thought the food would've been better. The pricing to food portion ratio did not correlate. It's a little on the pricey side for the amount of food you'd get, but maybe it's because of the rent since it is Williamsburg? Another thing, just like another reviewer mentioned, I felt my table was rushed out the door. We weren't even finished eating and we could feel they were eyeing the table (I was with a large party). The waiter who served my table, whose name I didn't catch, was friendly and polite though. Anyways, this is my take on this restaurant. Maybe this is how old school Italian restaurants are supposed to be & in terms of food too. Tip: Reservation recommended for dining in
