Good pizza. Great chicken wings. I tried the buffet and it was not bad. We arrived when they started it and when we went to choose pizza, there were no serving utensils available to serve the pizza. Had to carefully select my slices with my hand. Another issue was seeing an employee, taking the food from the buffet (boneless chicken) to complete a to-go order. I find that tacky and the to-go customer should've receiving fresh food for their order. Overall, I was very pleased with the toppings, selections, and the food. read more

I ordered a full bucket of wings to take over to a friend's house for a guys night. It was very easy to order over the phone and get my questions answered about the options. Fro the time I ordered to arrival was 20 minutes and it was piping hot and ready! I opted for 1/2 BBQ and 1/2 mild buffalo. I wasn't sure how spicy the mild may be, it was a nice mild sauce. Our Catechesis families came here for dinner after watching the Circus, and Pizza Plus was the perfect spot! We ordered a lot. We got pizza, wings, fries and more. And everything was absolutely bomb. The food hit the spot after a fun day. The place is clean and ready for big groups like us, which made things so much easier. The servers were super nice and accommodating, even with our large party. We always saw Pizza Plus each time we went to the nearby sushi place and wondered how it was. After seeing a sign about their lunch buffet, my husband wanted us to check it out. It offers all you can eat pizza, fries, salad bar, and boneless chicken wings. I don't eat meat but figured there would be plenty for me to choose from with all the other items. When we went to make the purchase ($12.99 each without drinks), I mentioned to the young man behind the counter that I don't eat meat but thought there would be some veggie pizza to have. While there were several types of pizza available, he didn't think any veggie ones were there so he said they would make one. In the meantime, I had the salad bar and steak fries. The fries were pretty good but the salad bar was just ok to me. When the veggie pizza was ready, the young man flagged me over. An older man that had already been eating the other pizzas jumped up to get some, too. The pizza was 1/2 cheese and 1/2 veggie so I got a slice of each and thanked the server for letting me know it was ready. When I wanted to get another slice of cheese, it was all gone. Oh well! We have been ordering from Pizza Plus for a really long time. Conservatively we have placed 100 orders with them over the years. The food is always good, and the team at the store is amazing. We had a bit of a mix up (my fault) with my order recently and their customer service response was kind and they got us solutions quickly. This is third time I have had an issue with them and I am not going back this time to let them try to make it right only to offer me a refund. Updating a review I left 8 years ago, they've improved. Solid food and service. We live in Truckee and order here for take out frequently again, after taking a several year break. Price is right and our orders are always correct(online ordering). It's not the best pizza or wings I've ever had, but for what you're paying for, it's spot on. I wouldn't order the Jalapeño poppers, they are bottom of the line, frozen things they are just heating up. They are like 95% cream cheese, sliver of Jalapeño and bad breading. They are not good, to almost nasty. But I'm not going to hold that against them overall. Just don't buy them. I wouldn't get the potato skins again either, but they weren't horrible. Pizza 8/10 Wings 8/10 typically, I have had a bad order a couple times. Fries 10/10 Ranch 10/10 Sides 6.5/10. Prices 10/10 Service for to go orders 9/10. read more

Staff was polite on the phone and very helpful. Gave me an estimated time, about 10 minutes, and they were prompt! Greeted by staff behind the counter, when I arrived. Pizza plus holds a part in my heart as this is the choice for when it comes to pizza and wings since high school. In the early 2000's We used to go to here for their lunch buffet, unlimited pizza, bone in chicken wings, chicken tenders, salad. Although their pizza buffet and what they offer changed, we still go here for the quality we receive! This place is definitely great for take out as our families will typically order from here for parties or when craving it for dinner. They have different pizzas to choose from and different combinations depending on how many people are hungry! Last night we decided since it was Thursday night football to celebrate by ordering take out. They have web coupons on their website. we chose the web coupon #15; 2 medium pizzas, 1/2 bucket wings, and steak fries. Our go to toppings at pizza plus is bacon/pepperoni (with red sauce) and chicken/mushroom (with white sauce). Mild wings for the little one and those who do not like spicy. Nitro sauce on the side for those who do! Again quality is what keeps us coming back. They are consistent with their flavors and the way they make each of their pizzas, sauces, even the ranch! We have friends that worked in different locations in the past and they all told us different ratios of their ranch mix. Mae Anne location definitely has the best. Well, not sure where to start with these guys. It's mainly their inconsistency, if I had to pin it down. We had a great Super Bowl experience in which we pre ordered. Today, not so much. You'd think for starters if you were ordering a #3 combo meal for $57.59 in which 4 grown adults and 2 kids were eating from that they could at least include more than 3 pieces of celery in the container with celery, carrots, and ranch. WTF !!!! Since when are celery and carrots the same value as gold ???!!! They are not that that expensive even in today's economy. The celery that they gave us was older looking and browner than they celery I've had in my fridge for a month to top it off. I had to go back in and ask for more and be treated like I was some kind of jerk to ask for more while 3 or 4 of their employees were standing around doing nothing when I came back in to ask for more than 3 pieces of celery for 4 grown adults and 2 kids. The wings- it's supposed to be 2.5 pounds of wings with the #3 combo meal. It was about 12 wings each nitro and buffalo flavor which I'm sure did not equal 2.5 pounds !!! Also, I asked for NO sausage, which I usually enjoy but my mom was here and it was her request. They ignored that request. The pizza and sides were good as usual but the fact that you never know what these guys are gonna do, they skimp you on celery/carrots every time, and they have a bunch of teeneagers working there that don't respect their customers makes me question the idea of if or when we'll order from them again. Man this place is bad. And really inconsistent. We ordered Hawaiian pizzas but one with jalapeños. The jalapeño one came out great, but the regular, which is always for my daughter because even when I used to get one pizza and pick off the jalapeños she would complain that it was still too hot. Parents you know what I mean, she gotta see her own pizza without them or she just know it still spicy. Her pizza came out horrible! Almost no toppings or even any cheese and just looked like a mess. I don't even know why they gave it to us, of course it came out second. When I complained the kid came and took it back and they threw more cheese and toppings and I don't know like probably put it in a microwave or something to melt it. It was just so rubbery. Saw they do a lunch buffet on weekdays so I figured I'd give it a shot.. I'd only had pizza plus once before. For $15 with a refillable beverage it's not a bad deal with a rotating selection of pizza. I thought they were all decent and the staff did a great job refilling the warmer. And the salad bar was delicious.. I'd definitely come back just for the salad bar alone. They also served boneless wing and fries for fillers too. Overall I really enjoyed my lunch. read more

This used to be my go to pizza and wing fix location. I have gotten the same basic order for years now. I am nit sure what happened the quality of the food seems to have taken a turn for the worst. The pepperoni pizza was fine and still the same pizza I expect from this store. The fries seemed off, not sure if the oil was old or dirty but the taste was off for lack of a better descriptor. Also about 1/4 of the order they where over crispy tiny broken pieces you expect from bottom of the bag. The largest let down was the wings. So little sauce on them I could eat 1/2 the order without using a napkin. When I arrived there was two tables with food already and no one else in line, I asked if they were busy that's why they didn't pick the call back up and a girl at the front desk Mia informed me no they are not. After ordering and telling Mia I was concerned with that she started whispering to the manager as they both kept looking at me and my two toddlers sitting waiting for our food. I placed a very large order today online. The process was easy and streamlined. It had every option under the sun but it was easy to navigate. I ordered the extreme party pack and an additional combo platter. I requested all chicken fingers instead of wings on the combo platter and was easily accommodated. I showed up about 5 minutes early and was told that the only thing we were waiting for was the wings. I walked out of the restaurant ontime. Allie at the counter got all of my food and asked if I needed condiments, plates, napkins etc and packed those up for me. I told her I would need to make 2 trips and she offered to help me to my car. I took her up on her offer. She was pleasant and helpful through our whole interaction. I have always been a fan of this establishment and I know my employees were looking forward to our pizza party when I told them where I would be getting the food. As a side note the dining room was clean and smelled just like it should....pizza. All of the counters and warmers and what I could see of the kitchen looked clean and in good repair as well. I've been revisiting a lot of my old Reno faves lately, just to show some much needed support to local biz around this time. For a good couple of decades, Pizza Plus has been my family's go-to spot for game days, gatherings, or just lazy dinner nights. Unfortunately, the last few times we've ordered out from the northwest location, it's been a disappointing trip down memory lane. They've always been very up-front about delivery times (usually upwards of 90 minutes or more), so I definitely can't knock them for that. In fact, this last time, they got the order to us under the time quoted and the delivery driver was super kind! Another positive would be the wings. They are small but always tasty. A wide selection of sauces and man, that ranch... there's nothing like it, and they serve it in those giant containers for maximum dippage. As far as the fries and pizza go, we've been super let down the past few orders. The fries have been totally hammered each time. My sister said they tasted like they were fried up yesterday, left overnight, then microwaved and left to get cold before making their way to us. I couldn't fix them... I tried. They were so bad. The pizza was also pretty rough. I remember the sauce having a nice flavor, but there was barely any of it so therefore undetectable. The crust has been hard and chewy and the pizza itself tasting stale. Delivery is always tricky so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. But we've always ordered delivery from Pizza Plus and, in the past, it's been super fresh each time. I don't know what's happened the past year or two. The prices on everything have gone up quite a bit (totally understandably, that is the world we are in these days.) But with all the amazing pizza places opening up and thriving in the area, it's hard to justify a $100 order to a former favorite when the quality just isn't there anymore. I hope our beloved local chain can come back and fix the shortcomings so we can enjoy what was once known as Reno's best Pizza and Wings! read more

This place is hit or miss. But mostly miss. Chicken wings never heat hot pizzas always over cooked dry. The last Hawaiian pizza looked worse. Than frozen pizza at this place ain't cheap. Fries over cooked hard. If you complain, they'll send you another one just make it right the first time. So you don't have to complain. This is the problem with Just have kids working. I'm surprised I've never reviewed this place because we eat here often and have been doing so for many years. It's within 2 miles of my house so it's the closest pizza joint and the good news is we really like it. The pizza is consistently very good. I can't recall the last time we have a bad product. It's one of the few pizzas I can eat the entire slice, including the end crust. The ingredients are always fresh. While the product is always good, the service is less consistent. It's usually OK, but sometimes it's way off. Our pick up orders are usually ready in 15 minutes, but of course things vary a lot when they are busy. So, I have been to the other two Pizza Plus locations in town but not this one yet, and since I just moved to the NW of town and after a disappointing trip to one of my old favs, I needed some "make up wings". Ordered a half bucket of their "hot" wings mixed with "honey sirracha" since I haven't tried that flavor yet. The person taking the order quoted me an hour(weekend) and the driver was at my house in about 45 min. The wings were cooked nice and crispy and I was pleasantly surprised at the heat level of the sirracha wings. I might have a new fav! The nice and thick steak fries were also fresh and crispy and you get a ridiculous amount for what they charge. The dressings(ranch and blue cheese) are kind of basic, I think they are just Hidden Valley mixes but that's the only thing I'd change. Also check out the steak fries with ranch dressing! I will admit I crave their ranch dressing from time to time and will go in just to pick some up. The only problem we have had lately is when we go in to eat or order take out the service has been super slow and frustrating. Pizza Plus is one of those places, you have an experience from 2 to 5 stars, but all my Pizza Buffet experiences recently has been consistently 4 to 5 stars and having Pizza Buffet back is why hand's down 5 stars, you get Chicken Tender pieces, two saucy flavors (personally I like plain and dip myself), Super Bom Steak Fries, Bom Ass Pizza with lots of real cheese and toppings (many varieties - up to 3) and lastly the Fresh and Tasty Salad bar with the Best Ranch and Blue Cheese in town, and a deluxe salad bar, it's only around $10 without a sugary drink, they even have glass bottle Sprite/Cokes!
