I ordered the $29.00 chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy. Unfortunately, I was given only a small gravy. The fried chicken is without a doubt the best in Oshkosh! The customer service was great, the food is always decent if you go there often or sometimes. I would recommend there taco pizzas and pepperoni. Also, their Mac and cheese isn't bad with the fried chicken, and salad. They of course have dessert like vanilla ice cream, apple pies, some other pie I forgot and you can also request pizzas that you would like which is super cool. It is always busy on Tuesdays so families and kids can be loud quite often. They play Christian music and it is relaxing and not too loud. Overall, this restaurant is a good 4 in my opinion just from my experience and from what you will experience if you go there for the first time. read more

Came here a while ago and was NOT impressed! My entire family got sick and had food poisoning. My 6 year old son Timmy choked on ice and was not assisted while the rest of the family was in the the bathroom. Honestly would recommend, because my husband Dave ordered chicken tortilla soup and got raw chicken. Will not visit again! read more

I don't recommend eating here when we first got here the tables where not clean and when we asked to get our table to get cleaned no one showed up so we had to wash the table. The pizza has hair in it and there was also spider webs everywhere in the decorations don't eat here! read more

This is the second place two eat,for us when we come to Wisconsin. Very friendly, staff..server remember my drink order. I have not been in Wisconsin in 6 months. As a long time resident of Oshkosh there was one restaurant of my childhood, and that was Shakeys. Where one would get a little chicken and pizza and some fixins. Those were the good old days. Hearing that a place that kinda resembles that was going to open up stirred up my inner youth, a place called Pizza Ranch. The building itself was home to several restaurants in the past: Callahans, Tilted Kilt, etc. Hopefully this one will have staying power and keep going in the long run but I fear one thing will keep this place from really taking off, which will be discussed later. As you walk in you notice the western decor. Kinda neat, not really fancy. You pay before being seated then it's to the food. Drinks are plentiful and seating is okay, kinda close to each other in my opinion. Wait staff are younger in age so you get what you get. Ambiance is kid friendly. Don't expect a quiet place to eat as there is a lot of hustle and bustle. A group of four and it's easier to get a table, any more and you may have to wait til a larger table is open. Now the food. There are about four buffet tables to choose from. One has chicken, several kinds of potatoes, dinner veggie, biscuits and gravy. One is your pizza bar with about 6 different choices. One is your salad bar, cold mixed salads (coleslaw,pasta salad), fruits, and two kinds of soup. Finally the last table is your dessert pizza with about three different ones. I will be focusing mainly on the two main entrees which is the chicken and pizza as the other items are good but nothing special. The pizza. I love pizza. This stuff is what I consider gimmick pizza. Crust is okay, sauce is just okay and toppings are,well, just okay. Nothing great or fancy or authentic. If you are a pizza lover you will be disappointed. If you are a teen or kid, who cares right? But to me it doesn't cut it. The chicken. Everyone I talked to said the chicken was the best. Juicy and moist it was pretty good. But nothing extraordinary. Flavor wise I would compare it to Pick'n Save chicken. But being broasted it is not as oily. It is more comparable to Red's chicken as theirs are also broasted. So overall pretty good. To sum it up, if you are taking the kids to eat pizza this is the place to go. If you are going for food variety or quantity I would rather go to Golden Corral. If you want the chicken, there are cheaper alternatives. And thats where this place will struggle to compete. At $10 a person it's not a cheap place to eat. And the prices for chicken is double that of places you can get in town. It may be doing good now but wait til the honeymoon phase îs over and we'll see. So overall 3 stars for me for the chicken. This place has the BEST fried chicken! I came here yesterday for buffet of pizza, but I saw fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans @ the hot food bar. I skip the pizza bar to eat the chicken with green beans, plus mashed potatoes with gravy. I am swear with you, I thought I was in heaven. The chicken & green bean were Amazing delicious! So so yummy . Thin thin crispy crust of coating bread and juice inside of the chicken that has made me keep coming back for more fried chicken. The desert pizza with vanilla ice cream.... unbelievable delicious! Yes! I ordered 2 dessert pizza to go. We went here all the time until tonight. They cleaned the glass inside and out while there was food on the buffet. Gross.

Pizza Ranch is a buffet so you pay prior to eating. The cashier has a menu and if interested, you can order a pizza with all of your favorite toppings and they will then bring the fresh baked pizza to your table to allow you the first opportunity to try to it. After you have taken what you'd like, they will then take the remaining pizza to the buffet for everyone else. If you choose not to specially order a pizza, you simply go to the buffet for whatever pizza they surprise you with. The buffet also offers a salad bar, dessert table and vanilla ice cream. There was also fried chicken, mashed potatoes and some other warm foods if you wanted something other than pizza. I was a little saddened to see there were no toppings for the ice cream but creating a root beer float quickly made me forget the topping options were missing. Overall, I felt that the pizza didn't "wow" me. They did a decent job of keeping the pizzas coming but I probably should have specially ordered a pizza that was more to my liking. It seemed as if the same few pizzas kept coming out...pepperoni, cheese and buffalo chicken. Would have been nice to see a bigger variety. read more

I just LOVE Pizza Ranch! Their buffalo chicken pizza is to die for....so creamy and delicious with the perfect amount of spice. Love the other flavors they offer too, in particular the BBQ chicken, sweet thai chicken (limited time one), garlic cheese and their breadsticks and marinara are so good. Love the chicken tortilla soup (spicy awesome!) too and salad bar is always delicious. Super friendly waitstaff at both Appleton and Oshkosh locations. We LOVE that we get to order our own flavor too every time even with the buffet. Great clean atmosphere. Always a wonderful meal! read more

Normally I've ordered from here and had good experience. My usual order is chicken fries (which they were currently out of) and mashed potatoes. Today I tried their "new chicken strips" and they are the most processed cheap tasting things I've had in my life. The service was fine and the people were great so this is more of quality of this specific item. read more

A different kinda of Pizza place. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our host was especially nice and friendly. A big In and out burger fan. She explained to those that didn't understand how things work in the restaurant. When you first come in the person takes your order, telling them what kinda of pizza you want, the way you want it, with whatever you want on it. No matter how crazy it may sound. They have a salad bar, chicken, fries, etc. and desert like a buffet. When your pizza comes to your table, you can take all of it or just a few slices. What you don't take goes to the buffet area, for someone else to try. If you like you can go there and also pickup and try other creations, such as Mac and cheese pizza, and artichoke pineapple pizza, anything that other customers create. Gave the ranch a try last week Friday and I'll say I was pleasantly surprised. Upon entering you are asked if you have any special requests pizza wise. One person in my group did say "yes, Veggie" and that was it. After sitting awhile, a veggie pizza arrived which was great, but it had EVERY VEGGIE POSSIBLE, the only suggestion would be to ask for more specifics. Moving on, the chicken was excellent, big,juicy and flavorful. Nice salad bar with lots of toppings and dressings to choose from. Several dessert pastries as well as soft serve which was rich and creamy, not watery with and Icey texture like many soft serves. Huge variety of pizza to choose and they will make just what you like. All pretty tasty. My bite goes to the chicken as a standout. Servers kept used plates to a minimum and were pleasant. We give this a 5 star -- not the same sort of 5 star one would give a gourmet restaurant, but certainly a 5-star chain restaurant experience. Excellent pizza, lots of choices of different crusts, toppings. Some are quite unusual -- my husband has grown fond of the BLT one. I love the alfredo and other white sauce pizzas. These are not often on the buffet, but if you ask for them, they'll specially cook one, bring it to your table, offer however much of it you want, then put the remainder on the buffet. But if you don't want to wait, there are plenty of other choices to keep you satisfied. Then there is the chicken buffet -- broasted and barbeque chicken, and on Fridays, fried haddock, and all the trimmings: dressing, vegetables, mashed potatoes, wonderful fresh potato chips, really good biscuits. And a full soup and salad bar. Also lots of choices of beverages, ranging from coffee to several kinds of iced tea, and Coke products. Service is great; warm greetings at the door, the manager on duty stopping by tables to offer help, waiters floating around to remove used dishes and also offering to help. We used to love Shakeys in Oshkosh. This is the nearest we've found to it. We've been there several times in just that past 3 months, since we discovered it, and it is now our go-to place when we come to Oshkosh, at least 3 times a month. read more
