If you're looking for legit wood-fired pizza in Brandon, Pizza Rock is absolutely worth a stop. I ordered The Butcher's Pizza and the first thing that stood out was the crust--crispy on the bottom, chewy in the right way, and cooked perfectly. They're using a New York-built wood-fired oven with a rotating turntable, so the pizza is constantly moving while it cooks, and you can taste the difference. The cheese melts evenly, the edges get that beautiful fire-kissed char, and the whole pie has that true fire-roasted flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The experience inside was just as good as the food. The restaurant is extremely clean, there's a ton of space (great for families or groups), and the staff was super friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They took time to talk with me and shared the Brandon location opened in 2018, and that they had to complete special training/certifications to even qualify to buy and operate that oven. Pizza was delicious and came quickly. They have a wood-fire pizza oven and all the delicious ingredients. They did 3 styles of pizza, one style was Neapolitan that they called Brooklyn Old World style, then there was New York style, and they also do Detroit style. Pizza had a nice crispy crust but too much spicy pepperoni and not enough cheese. The garlic bread was on a good chewy bun it was too garlicy and they hardly buy any cheese on top (see picture).
