We have been coming here for quite a while now. We would always get the white pizza. Which is very very very good. Tonight we switched it up and got an 8 inch white thin crust, and an 8 inch cheese pie with New York crust. Cheese pie was excellent. Both pies had a nice crispy crust. It's a "pizza" place not a go to Italian restaurant. Simple decor some tables and small cooler with some soda and water. Their lunch special is a bargain with an 8 inch pizza with one topping and a drink. The pizza was done great with thin crust and ample toppings. It's been a few months since I had pizza and wanted to try Pizzaissmo again. I was not disappointed! Carry out this time. Just olives and onions. Loved that I was asked red or white was onions! Came a little earlier as it was in the oven when I arrived. Upon bring it home, everything was amazing! The smell, texture, sauce and toppings! Love a good pizza! I randomly had a taste for pizza and this was the first place that popped up. It's about 8 minutes away from where I live so I said why not? I approached the restaurant and saw that they have a lunch special for $7.75. That's a deal. Personal pizza, one topping, and a drink. Can't beat that at all. I, however, got a personal pizza but got 4 toppings. Grilled chicken, pineapple, jalapeños, and bacon. After I ordered, it took about 8 minutes for it to be ready. I dined in, they bring it to you. Was running a lot of errands, hunger kicked in, saw the big lunch special sign on the window so decided to pop in and got a personal size pizza with mushrooms and a drink. Staff were very polite and kind. Wait was short and I took it to go. Got in the car planning for just a few bites before I began driving but ended up eating 3 out of the 4 slices right in my car cause I couldn't resist just another bite, then another... you see how it went. The young man working the counter was kind and honest when I asked several questions about recommendations. The location seemed to be doing a great deal of phone and on-line orders. They have several tables, but have only seen a couple people in the restaurant the two times we've picked up our order. Individual size is actually an 11 inch pie, not like those cute personal pan pizzas that Pizza Hut used to serve. Fairly decent tasting, but I wasn't blown away. We ordered a 16" Works. It came steaming hot and the crust was thin and crispy. Plenty of toppings but not so many to be overwhelming. Sauce was good and everything tasted fresh. We took an order of garlic knots home and didn't open the box until we got home and they were huge! I'm not from NYC but I have eaten pizza there and this pizza was as good as any I have had. Hidden gem in Brandon. We've tried almost every pizza shop in the greater Tampa area chasing a favorite, and this has claimed the title so far. The crust is the perfect thickness and chew, great ingredients (good pepperoni and real minced garlic) and the best knots this native New Yorker has had outside the northeast. Right off the bat they don't have wings which is a bummer for a pizza joint, especially one that offers dine in. They don't have fountain drinks, just a cooler, which is fine to me because I usually get water. They also advertise brick oven, but there's no brick oven. On the bright side, the pizza was fantastic. The sauce was amazing, the cheese was perfectly layered and the pepperoni had great flavor and was not too greasy. I would definitely order their pizza again. Maybe not dine in, but on that note, the dining experience was great and service was great. The pizza is good, no doubt about it. However, I dined in this afternoon and an older guy that was working felt compelled to talk about someone that had a lazy eye, and called them retarded. I'm shocked that a pizza maker in his 40s or 50s would feel compelled to make fun of a medical condition. Especially in front of customers.. I myself have a lazy eye. Needless to say I won't be back.
