We went to this place for the first time today. Right when we walked in the door and started looking at the menu a waitress approached us and asked if we had any questions and when I told her we were trying to figure out what to get on our pizzas she pointed us toward all the toppings and told us to go ahead and take a look. Very helpful. There are so many toppings to add! I ended up getting a pizza with pepperoni, bacon (real bacon not those little crushed up pieces you get from pizza Hut) and cilantro. It was delicious. My bf got sausage, pepperoni, red onions and green peppers. He loved it!We both got iced tea. It was Gold Peak. My bf was very happy about that. The whole staff was very nice. The food was disappointing and it seems there was no management. Just workers moving without a sense of urgency. Ordered an hour and a half ahead and the pizza was not in the oven, Pizzas were backing up and the oven guy was only cooking 3 at a time. I had to wait 20 minutes past the promised time. This was our first time here we figured that it's fairly new and we haven't been so why not. It wasn't busy and they made sure to tell us how it worked so we would know. My child ordered cheese pizza, I wish they would have asked her if she wanted a different cheese rather than just putting the basic shredded cheese on hers. We made our own and it was great. We were there maybe 20-25 mins from start to finish. They have a huge rotating oven that cooks the pizza, they also have salads. It was not noise and they have all kinds of happy hour specials. I first came here pretty soon after they opened in December of 2015. The first visit was underwhelming and at the time my husband was actually really unhappy with the service we received. He kept bugging me to leave a (negative) review but I told him I wanted to wait to give them a second chance. I finally did so I'll give some details about our problems with the first visit but how they improved with the second. So for our first visit the pizza was pretty good but the problem was the service. We were ordering 4 pizzas to go and it was our first time there. We began ordering one pizza and one of the employees who was shaping the dough said "I don't do that" in a pretty dismissive, rude tone. But whatever. We continued down the line and witnessed one employee accidentally drip pesto into the BBQ sauce. He hesitated for a moment and then just swirled the pesto into the BBQ until it disappeared. This really bugged us. Pesto has nuts and many people have allergies. Finally, my husband and I both ordered vegan cheese on our pizza and the employee did not change his gloves even though he had just touched chicken, pepperoni, etc. To be fair, we could have said something but employees should be trained to at least offer to change their gloves when a customer orders a vegan or gluten free product. And finally, I felt that they were really stingy with the toppings. Like only 4 onion slices on my pizza stingy. The second visit was much better. The service moved more quickly and the employees were much more friendly. My pizza was delicious and they were much more generous with the toppings. While I recognize that there is usually an up charge for vegan cheese I think $3 is a little steep - I know what Daiya costs and it's not that much more expensive than dairy cheese. And while it's clear on the website which toppings cost extra, it's not clear at the restaurant itself. The employees are good about telling you which toppings cost more, but it can mess up the ordering flow when you realize your $8.95 pizza may end up costing $16. All in all, it's pretty good pizza and a unique concept. I think there's still room for improvement and hope to award them an additional star or two in the future. read more

MOD Pizza charges $10 no matter what for unlimited toppings, vegan cheese and gluten free. read more

The food is very tasty, my husband and I really enjoyed it. It's so cool that you can each personalize your own personal pizza. Another great thing is that it doesn't make you feel awful after eating it, it keeps you feeling nice and light unlike other foods that make you feel heavy and regretful lol. All for a good price. I honestly feel bad leaving one star but I've had over 4 poor experiences with take out. Every experience with take out actually has been frustrating. I've gone in and waited longer for my take out order than if I had just walked in and ordered. I keep going back strictly out of proximity to my house and the pizza is actually good when I want an individual size. If it's a family pizza night we go elsewhere because there are better options for a larger pizza we all split. Just expect to wait whether you call in or show up. Bottom line: Fantastic pizza at fair prices I had ordered for delivery from this place. The delivery came hot, fresh, and 20 min. early. The delivery guy followed instructions that I left, so that's a big plus. The pizza size is perfect for two people to share. The "hotline bling" pie is phenomenal. To me, most pizza is just pizza and it's all pretty good to me. However, this pizza's flavors melded very well together. There was a perfect amount of cheesiness and the pesto added a nice touch. The meatball is perfectly cooked with perfectly seasoned. Huge chunks of roasted tomatoes were just delicious. The crust is nice, thin and crispy. I also ordered the cannoli dessert pizza. I thought it was a pretty good size, again perfect for 2. This was a little sweet, but a perfect treat after the pizza. Includes fruits, syrup, ricotta cheese, drizzled with chocolate and topped with powered sugar on a pizza crust foundation. First time customer, ordered pizza and wings to be picked up, order was set for 5:42 and we were not late. Arriving home, wings were hot, pizza was not. When I called the store and said as much, I was was informed that it was too busy for a manager to talk to me. Also told that "wings take longer, so the pizza was put in at the same time as the wings, so that's why your pizza was cold". I can only imagine what would've happened if I ordered delivery. And the employee who delivers your food can't help you. Pizza Rox is a fabulous pizza place. What a discovery! We enjoyed their gluten-free, vegan pizza option ... but it all looked delicious. The place is spotless, and during Covid, the staff was extra careful: everyone wore a face mask and gloves, which we appreciated. The folks preparing the food were very friendly and super-attentive to allergies etc. Pizza Rox has a fun, cool and relaxed vibe. Very nice people, like extremely nice. Good vibe and enjoyed the big screens to watch game. We went in for the vegan pizza and was told that all the "meat" selections were vegan alternatives. When the second worker corrected the first worker, he just picked off all the meat from our pizza and then put it back in the meat container. We aren't strict in our approach to veganism, but I could see how another person who is committed who have an issue--not to mention that fact that the meat that was placed on our pizza was literally picked off of it and placed back in the container for someone else. We frequent very often and have always had good service and never had issues. Unfortunately, we most likely won't be back or place orders online. We had placed our order online because of Covid-19. We had planned out the time so we wouldn't have to spend time inside the establishment. Arrived when pizza should have been done (30 minutes after order and time stated on online order for pick up), waited 10 minutes and nothing. Asked the gentleman who was boxing the pies and he stated it would be next however, he scrolled pretty far down on his screen. I went and asked the girl at the front and asked her as it was now 15 min past and still nothing. She looked into it and the pizzas weren't even in the oven yet! I asked to speak to the manager and she went and spoke with him. She said they were so sorry and it would be the next batch in as it was 4 pizzas and they would refund me for the inconvenience. To my surprise today when I checked my account, it was never refunded (this was Friday and it it now Tuesday) I honestly would have left but it was so much time I had already waited and to order pizza from another place would have been even longer! Waited another 20 min and now it is almost an hour since the order was originally placed. My wife and I visit this restaurant once or twice weekly for lunch. Not New York style but very tasty. All ingredients appear fresh and prepped to order. My typical pizza contains mushrooms, pepperoni, bacon and roasted red peppers. Always enjoyable, exceptionally clean, safety practices followed by staff.
