We can not say enough about the Pizza Shack in our neighborhood! We have looked forward to our weekly visit (4 weeks and counting!). The appetizers are amazing: fried mushrooms & raviolis with the horseradish sauce is the bomb!! The Appetizer Combo is a great way to start. Our favorite salad (right now!) is the Strawberry Walnut w/ the Raspberry Vinaigrette, so so GOOD. Fresh, and a great combination of greens, cheese, fruit, and nuts. The Classic Margarita Flat Bread is a great combo w/the salad. We had also had the Hawaiian Pizza, the crust was crispy and the sauce was savory, but not over whelming. Hands down (so far!) our favorite entree is: the Eggplant Parmigiana. Again, the sauce is so good!! (I honestly, don't usually like red sauce) I also loved the Spaghetti and meatball, and just tried the Cheese Raviolis, which was yummm! Last weekend, we got the 4 pack of Baby Cakes cupcakes... omg. Those were the best cupcakes we've had in a long time! Moist and the flavors were over the top! We had the Rebel, Hepburn, Wedding Bells & Big Cheese. It was the perfect dessert, for our Perfect Friday night. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the service has been quick and our meals have been prepared and packed so nicely. We didn't like our first trip here because the pizza was SO heavy on the sauce. So, we came back and ordered our food without sauce... It was amazing. I like pizza sauce "okay," but it's kind of overpowering in a lot of places and these days it gives me heartburn. Without the sauce explosion, the pizza here is some of the best I've ever had. The dough is crunchy and flavorful, the cheese they use tastes really good (unlike the cellulose laden pseudo cheese from big chains), the appetizers we got... The fried mushrooms and shrimp balls... Everything is great! This statement includes the staff by the way. We'll be back for sure. Thanks guys! You know hands down the best pies this south side of Dallas. Staff is always friendly and service is always great. But be warned, the don't deliver. Why you might say, well I don't know what they put in their pies. But rest assured, it will leave your car smelling like the Southbound End of a Billy Goat for week at minimum. We stopped in while headed to my sisters house. Boy did not expect to see this in Willis Texas. The place was cozy, very nice and clean. The smell was absolutely fantastic. A cook was hand tossing the pizza dough in the window of the kitchen. Wait staff was very knowledgeable and polite. We ordered the fried cheese and a large pizza. The food was fresh and delicious. Ordered take-out from here -- pizzas, salads, and fried zucchini -- all very tasty. Service was really friendly -- it was cold outside but they offered to help me bring it all to my car. Inside was hopping and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, which convinced me to pick up a bottle of chianti to take home and enjoy with the pizza. Great spot. read more

The food here is mediocre-good....pretty awesome for a small town. We ordered takeout but I found the ambience in the place to be pretty "Italian"ish....the parking lot is WAY too chaotic and small and it's also very dark at night so navigating is tricky/dangerous for pedestrians. I won't come back though because it was pricey and every employee I encountered had the absolute worst attitude I have encountered in a while. The girl who took my money literally just slammed my bag of food on the counter and slid it towards me before starting to do something else. I said "well gee thanks" which got the attention of one of the other rude women who suddenly seemed to realize they weren't being very nice. She gave me the worst attempt at a smile and I grabbed my bag and left. I can cook pasta at home I don't have to pay money for that kind of snootiness. read more

Okay so for the past couple of years my husband has us going here for their Wednesday lunch pizza buffet. It is some really good pizza, but I'm not one of those people that can live off pizza alone. I am however a chicken picatta kind of girl. To be honest when I started making the dish at home, every restaurant I would go to was just a disappointment. But this place right here. Ohmygosh! I understand people love pizza, but this place has got a for real cook back there. I can't wait to try other dishes. Also- I ain't hating on that dessert dish on the buffet, but the bread pudding here was better than the one I had at Mother's (in New Orleans). Get that buffet by all means, I get it - best value, great deal, yummy pizza- but you should definitely give that bread pudding a try. read more

I had the Milano Chicken and bowtie pasta with light sauce. Very good. Breadsticks were good. Only thing that could have been better is if everything was served warmer and would have stayed warm longer. I've been here some 5 times and I cannot believe I haven't written a review yet. Shame on me. This place is east of 45 in Willis and is amazing. Found it by accident some time ago and super glad I did. I even had a friend from Ireland here and I took him here because the food is that good! Since I was here last they added these delicious bites called "shrimp poppers". Do yourself a favor ahead of time and just order two orders. They are delectable. My buddy is vegetarian and got the spinach garlic pizza with mushrooms. I'm a carnivore but looked amazing. I had the Hawaiian (save me your pineapple on a pizza argument, I like what I like). Their crust is thin and crispy. But you still have a nice crust on the outside. scrumptious. Had a couple cold beers and a red velvet cupcake. Super delicious. Overall I wish this place was closer to cypress. We would love to have a consistent pizza place near by to order from. Till next time, pizza shack. read more

We are really late discovering this fantastic place since we've been in Conroe for 20 years but better late than never. We have finally found a pizza we like as good as Marios seawall in Galveston. Was a fan while I was younger, but now adays I stay away from this place. Gas station pizza is better. When you order a fully loaded pizza, they use frozen vegetables so when you get your pizza it is mush, covered in water. Don't even try the gumbo it is clearly from a can and taste like shit. read more

However, I tried the Chicken Parmigiana for the first time, and it was so overly salty that my lips started to burn. I have had pizza all over the place, even New York(maybe not the best pizza in N.Y., but I ate a lot of pizza while there). Pizza Shack's slices were heavenly. I went here with my family while on vacation on Lake Conroe. It was a buffet and expectations weren't high at first, but we arrived about five minutes before they opened and people were already lined up to get in. The pizza bread was crispy but pliable, the cheese was gooey, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. The whole family was exclaiming the glories of this pizza. Crust is from dough made fresh in house each and every day. Never too thick or too thin nor too chewy or too hard - it's always hand tossed perfection. GREAT choise of toppings. Staff is friendly and attentive - super professional both in person and on the phone. Extensive menu of pasta, calzone, subs, burgers, salads as well as their amazing pizza. I pass by this place on my way to work and the parking lot is always PACKED! I've been dying to try this place out for a long time, but I've been trying to behave myself and stick with my diet. Well my inner bad boy took over and he wanted PIZZA!!! I did a carry out, so unfortunately I didn't get the full experience of this place. The pizza was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and good quality. The crust was perfect. Much better than any freaking Pizza Hut, Dominoes, etc... It only took 15 minutes for them to make it. Since a two-star rating is "Could've been better," I selected this one. It is very difficult for me to give our beloved Pizza Shack anything less than a five-star rating. We have been regular customers for the last seven years. I offer this review as constructive criticism in hopes that Michael S. will adjust and improve. My only complaint in the last seven years is the current size of the "Large" Greek Salad. Used to be that you may see the size of the salad fluctuate a little depending upon who made the salad on any particular day, but they were always what I would consider a generous portion size and something one could make a meal out of, especially if you added the chicken. However, the last four or five times I've ordered the Large Greek Salad, the lettuce has not even passed the halfway mark on the salad bowl. I believe the current price is $9 dollars and with the current portion size, this is not a good value. I have decided to pass on the Greek Salad for the time being but wanted to leave this review in hopes of a correction in the kitchen. Everything thing else at Pizza Shack is great and all the staff are wonderful. I've never ordered the Small Greek Salad but can only imagine how disappointing that must be. This isn't something that will stop me from eating at Pizza Shack, I just won't order the Greek Salad. read more

Great spot! We were in town for a softball tournament and my daughter and i decided to stop in and try this spot out. We ordered fried calamari for appetizer and it was seriously on point and tasted amazing. We also ordered a meat lovers pizza, it came fresh out the oven and was delicious. They even had quite a few selections of wine. If i am ever in the Willis area again this will definitely be my go to spot. Oh and last but not least, service was exceptional! read more

Went to Pizza Shack twice. The first time, I was having an interview, so I just had a glass of wine. The second time, I had a dinner salad (pretty decent) and cajun chicken pasta. I was pleasantly surprised with the taste. My friend had pepperoni pizza, and she seemed to enjoy it. I will definitely head back and try a pizza next time.
