I drove past this place Friday on my way to Michigan and I know from experience that the little places by a highway have some of the BEST food and I was not wrong. It was also my partner's bday so it was perfect for lunch. It's a very unassuming building but it is so homey and cute on the inside. We were greeted right as we walked by the sweetest person. There wasn't a wait at all and we were sat right away. I really loved being able to see the chef prepare the food as well. From where I was sitting she appeared to be very meticulous in the way she prepared the food. For starters we ordered crostini with Roma tomatoes, basil, pesto and fresh mozzarella. It was honestly the freshest thing I've had in a while. Every flavor was exact and complimented the other. The same can be said about the pizza as well. We order the Soppressata. The toppings were Calabrian salumi, house giardiniera, fontina, fresh mozzarella and chili oil. OMFG(can I say that?) lol. Soooooooooo good! I very rarely want to order multiple things off the menu but i was tempted by the pastas too.... Definitely going to go back and have the pasta with braised pork shoulder I believe. It's going to be a bop! Oh! I also ordered a Negroni. It was made with Bombay Sapphire gin, campari, sweet vermouth, and orange bitter.It was a VERY generous pour (giggles ) . My partner had a Yuengling Lager. The total was 46.00 (I was expecting a little more but zero complaints) Give this place a visit! Very comfortable place! Loved the simplicity of decor. The food was fantastic. There were 3 of us & we shared 3 entries. (Spaghetti, Chicken Parm, and Italian sausage). Although they sound simple ....... Each has it's own special preparation and absolutely wonderful! Wine list was good with a few craft beers also available. Really outstanding. Surprisingly good Italian food - everything is well executed here, not just the pizza. The crostinis have great toppings, but it's the crispy-yet-light-and-chewy bread that makes them truly outstanding. The arancini are laden with creaminess and cheesiness. The wood-fired pizzas are really true to the Neapolitan style, but with diverse cheeses and flavor directions; the pistachio pesto and mortadella special was shockingly great - I'll be really disappointed if it's not added to the menu permanently. They have a full bar, too. Try this place ASAP if you haven't already. read more

My daughter and I decided to try Pizza Terra for lunch. We walked right in at 11:30 and were sat immediately. There was so much we wanted to try, so we shared a few things. We started with the Peach jam, burrata, crispy prosciutto, and Balsamic crostini. 10/10. Wow! Delicious!! Next, came the fettuccine alfredo. Not a noodle left on the plate! Finished up with a pepperoni pizza, with dollops of ricotta, and a drizzle of hot honey. Oh, be still my heart! Everything was so delicious, we can't wait to go back, and try other items. This restaurant is a little deceiving with the outside, but as soon as you walk in, it's such a cool environment. Smallish eating area, with a wood fire oven for the pizzas. Fresh made pasta and sauce.. delicious kitchen made beef sandwiches.. also the polenta served with the meatballs appetizer was absolutely fantastic! It may sound silly but the flavor reminded me of the cream of wheat my mother made for breakfast. I've had polenta many times but theirs was simple perfection. The pizza is by far my favorite from this area.. it's a thin brick oven style kinda like you'd expect from a NY pizzeria . Word has spread.. so this place can fill up quickly. My son and I were visiting the Dunes briefly, and we needed a lunch spot. We decided to try a local pizza shop, and Pizza Terra fit the bill. We were blown away. We ordered a mozzarella crustini and their signature pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni pizza is a must try--the ingredients are all high quality and the magical touch is the hot honey. The pepperoni itself was like that bite of perfect bacon that only comes around once in a while. WOW. Possibly the best pizza I've ever eaten.
