Found this place as I was driving by and decided to check it out and was really impressed. They have pastas, sandwiches, appetizers and have the most vegan items I've ever seen in a menu. If you're vegan or vegetarian I highly recommend this place. Came with some friends and we had some bellflower vegan pizza and some regular pepperoni pizza, garlic knots and potato wedges, everything was really good and tasted fresh. Great vegan options. I've ordered from this place twice, first was a vegan pizza, which was good minus the mozzarella cheese, way too runny but this happens with vegan cheese at times. The crust on Chicago pizza was very tasty and vegan ricotta cheese was very good. I later ordered a cheese pizza, this time the crust was very tough, not crunchy, just tough. Their pizza sauce is a bit too sweet for my tastes on both vegan and regular pizza. Customer service was okay but quickly got better after the tip. read more

Since going vegan it's been so tough finding a good pizza "replacement" that leaves me feeling satisfied, but ladies, gentlemen and they; I have found it! This is hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had! My go to is the heaven pizza and it definitely lives up to it's name! The garlic knots, and vegan lasagna are also so delicious. VEGANS MUST COME HERE!! I've been to just about every pizza spot that serves vegan pizza in LA and OC. My top is still Masa of Echo Park, but I was not expecting this place to rank as my 2nd favorite. Been here 4 times already and have tried the Heaven and Vegan Brother. Heaven is good.. definitely similar to Pizzanista and Vegan Pizza in Garden Grove, but the Vegan Brother is beyond words. There were HUGE chunks of garlic (I LOVE GARLIC) and it has a very flavorful and refreshing taste. I ate it hot then finished the rest cold and it was still amazing (if you've had a vegan pizza before, you know that it can taste a bit funky and extra fake/processed when it's been sitting out ). The garlic knots were thee best knots I'veever had.. again, garlicky and flavorful. Price is super reasonable! $20 for x-large?? I live between this place and downtown LB and will now come here for my pizza cravings instead of the other places. My nephews (non vegans) love this place too! This place is no good anymore...since the original owners left I've only seen a downgrade to their ingredients and prices going up. The menu isn't even the same and they started using those weird pepperonis that curl up instead of the traditional kind. Also, the ranch is a lot thicker in consistency than it used to be or maybe that was just an unlucky ranch i got but regardless it sucks to leave 2 stars and I can't help to say that Pizza USA isn't even PIZZA USA anymore. I ordered and immediately fell in love with Heaven pizza--the sweet and spicy combination is perfect and I never get tired of it. I have been coming to Pizza USA since 1994, before I could even talk. I now take my wife and two kids there. The original owners, Erik and May sold the restaurant when their children wouldn't take it over. The second owners were okay because they wanted to keep the soul of the old restaurant with some modernizations, but I guess the restaurant was more work than he expected, so he sold it off a second time. The restaurant is now on its third owner. The demographic in Bellflower has changed substantially since I was a child. I believe that the new owner's mission is to serve the growing Muslim community by only serving Halal food (explaining the meat that looked like hot dog slices on another poster's "sausage" pizza). We feel that that this is absolutely commendable to want to serve your community. That's what mom and pops do. The owners (?) running the restaurant are a young couple who seemed to be really nice. The problem is that the original Pizza USA was a staple of the community since 1986. Erik and May would feed the kids of the high school next door and did their share of feeding the homeless. The soul that The original owners left will never be recreated. We finally bit the bullet to try the food since it was resold and we wish we would have let the restaurant stay in our memories. We asked for a submarine and we were asked "what kind?" We explained that we came for an Italian sub and they asked what came inside of it. After explaining that it had ham, they told us that they don't carry ham (since it's not halal) and offered turkey instead. When we received the subs, they had really thick pieces of imitation turkey with vegetables in the ground meat. Neither my wife nor I could finish the sandwich. The pizza was stale, with little sauce, and thick imitation pepperoni. Similar to what you would find in a school cafeteria. We won't be coming back. The best piece of advise that we can give the new owner is to try a new source of halal meat. What they are serving does not adequately represent what a traditional American pizzeria would serve and it tastes nothing like it used to. We wish the new owners lots of luck. read more

It's a hole in the wall halal pizza joint. We ordered: chicken tikka pizza, which was on point! Absolutely delish. carne asada pizza didn't have as much flavor. Bbq ckn wings which were finger licking good. It's a small pizzeria for takeout, the max capacity to dine in is for 8 ppl. Luckily we were a group of 6, and it wasn't busy at the time we visited so we dined in. The place is clean, customer service is great and the food doesn't take forever to come. My favorite from them all is the BBQ Chicken; the thin crust, drizzled BBQ on each slice is taste bud perfection! Too perfect that I can finish half of a large one by myself! I also really like the Salsa Verde Pizza with Chorizo. The combination of the salsa over the crispy chorizo is to lick your fingers. The salsa is lemony and spicy but not too spicy. Still good pizza after all these years. I haven't stepped foot into Pizza USA since I was a senior in high school. Stopped in to see if anything had changed over the years since now being under new management. Thankfully not much has changed. Like Costco you're still able to purchase single slices of pizza. The sauce is a little sweeter but nothing major that takes away from the taste. What I loved about the pizza before was the crispiness of the pepperoni and that hasn't changed. The slice was served just as fast as slices were under the previous owner so I was able to enjoy a quick slice of pizza and be on my way.
