White Veggie Pan Pizza
Dana S.

I came here as part of a big group. First thing I noticed was the very eclectic, very busy decor... you won't be bored just looking all the various stuff on the walls. There was a clock with this somersaulting clown puppet thing that would go off every few minutes and startle us, but we laughed about it. It's kind of a weird service setup where you order pizza at the counter when you first come in, but then a waiter came to our table to take drink orders and later bring everything to us. Nonetheless, the service was good; everyone was friendly and they did a good job of keeping track of everyone's individual orders in a situation that could have been confusing with people arriving at different times. I got an individual white veggie pan pizza. It was okay. Very cheesy and the doneness was right for me (I like the dough a little softer), but could have used some seasoning, since without red sauce it was kind of bland. Overall it was enjoyable though. Good experience.

How they serve their fried mushrooms

I've been going to pizza villa for 25 years on and off. The lights in there are as dark as ever. The thin crust is good. The sausage is better than others. We started with the fried mushrooms. They were very good, but the pack of ranch was extremely lame in my opinion. Pizza was good. Had the sausage, pepperoni and mushroom. I have to say that the service is consistently lackluster. None of them seem to want to be there. That's ashamed, because attitudes like that drive businesses into the ground. This place can be good again. I liked it, but it will be a while before I go back.

Did you even visit home if you didn't go to Pizza Villa? Listen, I know a woman who won't eat in any other restaurant BUT Pizza Villa. This is a classic, Illinois suburb stop for me and my fam. The bread nuggets and pizza are incredible. The service is always a little awkward, the beer is always a little flat. It's all a part of the experience. If you're looking for a place with a real 90s vibe you absolutely must stop here! Super photogenic place, would be awesome for a photo shoot. My partner went here as a kid and my nephews love all the things he loved - magical, dingy game room with rock hard candy and a clown that does flips. If you're used to big city pizza, expensive glasses of wine, and are tired of the pretense... Pizza Villa is your spot. Wholesome, midwestern, homey. And the food is good! When we're home in Arizona sometimes we just look at each other like, "damn, don't you wish you had bread nuggets from Pizza Villa right now?"

My doctor says I swallow a lot of aggression.... Along with a lot of pizzas. Not being to this place in many years, I was very happy. The cracker-like crust was impressive and they aren't shy with the cheese. I highly recommend ordering your pie well done. We grabbed a medium SMO and it was delicious. They had a sale on Bud Light so I was really happy! We had a group of twelve. Some of our party have had a tendency to be a bit rough on servers, and the young woman that had our table was terrific! Keep up the strong work.

Good pizza, fun place to hang out. Next time I'll have to try the beer nuggets. :)

Nice place with a lot of character. We had the bacon pizza which was ok, but too salty and oily for us.

Lot of hype about how "good" this place is but all you're really going to notice is how much you spend for average food.

Service has settled out and has improved…read more We dropped in when our primary choice was taken out by a freak storm which knocked out power to the west. I'm working on building my iron levels, so Florentino's got the nod. We were seated in a booth promptly when we arrived at around 5:15 pm. Within a minute, filled and iced water glasses arrived and then in another minute, a loaf of bread with butter. The bread had good texture, and worked well with the butter. We thought about the wine and my wife ordered their Veal Marsala, which worked with the Josh Cabernet that I wanted to order. Again corkage fees are quite reasonable. The salads came out - my wife enjoyed her wedge salad, and I enjoyed my Caesar (albiet still without anchovies!) with a solid dressing and crouton mix. As we finished the salads, the main courses arrived. My wife enjoyed her Veal Marsala, but couldn't finish it. I enjoyed my filet - it was better seasoned but still needed just a touch of salt to bring out the flavor. The room is still loud - they could use some baffles over head. The lighting has a variety of light fixtures from the ceiling. The bar still has 4 TV screens (which don't disrupt conversation at the tables and boothes. The seats are quite comfortable. This is improved from our last visit. Hopefully, they maintain this effort.

It was a cold night in DeKalb, Illinois. However, it was nice and comfortably warm in Iniga's…read morePizzeria. We decided to drop in since it had just opened, and we wanted to see what they had to offer. If you look at the name "pizzeria napoletana" you may get the idea that this isn't Pizza Hut. It isn't. This is (according to my wife who has been to Naples in Italy) pizza the Napoletanese way. Thin crusts, interesting toppings, and different than mainstream American pizza. When we arrived we were promptly greeted at the door as we walked in, and given a choice of bar or dining room seating. We selected the dining room. Both areas were warm and comfortable, with the usual things in the bar (big screen TV) and dining room (art on the walls, nice tables and chairs, nice booths). We started with the Bagna Cauda, which was delicious. It seemed to be a little light on the garlic compared to my friend's version of the dish, but it was still good. It was served with bread, fennel, pepper and zucchini for dipping. It could have fed 4. For pizzas, my wife ordered their Margherita Verace, and I ordered their Puttanesca pizza. The Puttanesca had green olives, brown olives and white anchovies. The crust was very thin - so thin that I ended up cutting this with my knife and using my fork. I couldn't even fold it - the crust is very soft. I tried my wife's Margherita Verace, and it was similar in crust. It had lots of good stuff on it, and tasted good. Drinks were reasonably sized. I had a glass of wine which was fresh, and my wife after trying to order (and pronounce) Raganrok found that they were out of the sweet mead, so she went with a Negroni instead, which she said was quite good. The bathrooms were clean, but chilly in temperature. I hit the hot air hand dryer as I walked out in an effort to warm up the space. Clean, all fixtures worked, and well kept. The question boils down to this: Are you willing to experience pizza the way it was originally made - or not. If you are willing, you should try this place out. If you aren't willing - well, that's on YOU to change. You're missing a lot.

I really like the pizza I know how to tell a good pizza since my husband is actually from Napoli…read moreand is a chef. I wish in my margherita they would add more basil, tomato and not burnt. Mine was cooked perfect since I told them to add more basil garlic and more sauce The drinks are great. The ambiance is very modern I wish they would had played Italian music to make it authentic. There are so many waiters all very young and they need to be more mindful to come to our table to make sure we are ok we wanted to order more food but our server was ghosting us. We saw many servers eating in the back many pizzas were burnt
