Family favorite pizza place. They have 12 or so "craft" pizza specialties or you can do the typical build your own or single toppings too. Today we got the Bacon Cheeseburger, Materpizza (bbq chicken +) and a pepperoni. Their rolled crust is unique, but gives it a light and crispy to end each slice. The toppings are always fresh and the craft combinations are unique and fun. They have a daily lunch buffet that is a good value and carries a good mix of the craft pizzas and dessert pizza. The must try at Pizza West is the Cheesy Twist appetizer. A cool twist on cheese bread that is similar to their rolled crust. This is what keeps us coming back. Hey, this place is good! It was a little busy for thw Sunday lunch buffet, but it was tolerable. We had great service and a great selection of yummy pizza! We enjoyed the crust on the pizza and will be excited to go back. Just a little over $7 for the buffet for lunch. Drinks were reasonable too. Our favorite pizza was the Margherita. I have had the worst experience with the Pizzas West located near Pegahs. The manger lacked exceptional customer service. The manger was rude and did a very distasteful job in correcting a error on PW part. I placed an online order specifically requesting a Fredo pizzas that had substitutions on one half( screenshot included) and a cheese pizza. Before the pizza had arrived I had received a call from PW. I returned the call and the kind worker who answered let me know that there was a mistake and they would correct it. Once the pizza was delivered I realized that both pizza were incorrect. I called PW letting them know that actually both of the pizza are incorrect. The employee apologized and let me know they would correct the pizza as well as we could keep the previously delivered pizzas. Following this call I received another call from PW this time from a manager informing me that we could NOT keep the pizza and she needed the incorrect pizza I received back. I was caught off guard by the delivery of this message from the manager. She directed this call as if I placed an incorrect order or was untruthful about what we received when the fault was actually PW. I obliged in just returning the pizzas at this point just wanting to end the conversation and in hopes of receiving the correct order. Once ending the call with this rude manger I received another call from PW, I have no clue what exactly this call was for but after all the hassle of what I thought was going to be a simple online order I just wanted to be refunded for the purchase. I let the employee know that the incorrect items I received could be picked up which I determined needed to happen from the previous conversation with the manager. The manager was unapologetic and rude about the whole situation. Per the managers conversation a driver would pick up the pizza and the pizza was never picked despite the manger requesting it back. I would NOT recommend placing any online delivery orders from this location due to my experience with this location tonight. read more

Followed some friends here for lunch and stumbled upon a great buffet option. The lunch buffet was $7.95 and was a really good deal for the price. It was hit or miss on getting up there and coming back with a full plate. When we were lucky enough to get the fresh pizza it was really good. They also did a good job of offering vegetarian options for those customers. The dessert pizzas were very good as well. Ordering pizzas from the menu looked a little pricey, but probably would have been worth it. Overall it's a nice place with a good variety for all guests. read more

4 stars because it was our first time, and only ordered 3 items. All 3 meal were tasty though! We had individual sizes of Pepperoni and Margarita Pizza's, and an Asian Salad. My daughter fancies herself as a connoisseur of Asian salads, and loved the Chinese Cabbage, and flavor of her salad. The Pepperoni was on a Thin crust, and was nice and crispy, with just the right amount of spice in the Roni. The Margarita (which I like to be a connoisseur of) was the best I've had in Kansas yet. Unlike other places we've tried recently, that put too much raw garlic, dried herbs, or Chili Powder, Pizza West has a traditional, fresh ingredients pizza. The Pinball room was quite active, with many-a-dude watching or waiting to play. We were perfectly content in the front, upside-down lamp, quieter room. Great ambiance in there. After moving here we have this place a try because our kids love pizza and we didn't feel like cooking after unpacking the house all day. The waiter barely came by our table and my empty glass felt forgotten. When the pizza arrived the sauce tasted like it hadn't been seasoned. Just tomato sauce places on the pie. Their rolled crust is so good and I'm addicted to their adobo sauce. The salad bar helps balance all the carbs from the pizza and their soup (I tried their mushroom soup) was actually really tasty. Everything here taste fresh and the servers are attentive. The buffets are a pretty good deal which includes soup and salad bar as well as dessert pizzas. Decided on a whim and a very empty stomach to stop here today. They weren't very busy, but it was about 2 p.m. when we went in. We had just barely made their lunch buffet cut off. Very reasonably priced for pizza, salad and soup, less than $8.00 a person. The layout of the buffet was so strange to me. They have the restaurant divided into two rooms, and in front room is the salad and soup section (one soup is featured) and then the pizza is in the second room. They offer about 8 pizzas on a very small section. The selection is good and they will add your requests to the buffet which I greatly appreciated. They have a huge menu with tons of different sauce and topping options. I look forward to going back and trying something with toppings and a sauce we select. Its still a family friendly place, but not it caters to a more adult crowd with "artisan" pizzas and domestic beer specials. The pizzas are similar to the old Double Dino's/Pyramid style with braided crusts and plenty of cheese, but the consistency of quality has improved. Make sure you order the cheese twists! Really friendly staff. This place is a great and unique find. It's a delicious sit down pizza joint great for families, groups, or a nice date. The decor is fun and nice. It has a train track up top, pinball machine room (with some pretty unique and vintage pinball machines), there's also tv's at some of the tables. First timers: We went here on a Saturday night around 8pm. It's a nice little place for families where they have patio seating available when the nights are nicer. This place has specials every day. Food: We ordered the 16' margarita pizza and the 16' Hula-la pizza. The hula-la pizza was delicious! Tastes like a Hawaiian pizza. Love the breaded crust! They will ask you if you want the regular thin crust or a breaded crust. Definitely choose the breaded crust! Each 16' pizza comes with 12 slices so one pizza can feed a family of 3 to 4. Margarita pizza was just ok. It was too dry for my liking. But still good. Their cheesy bread is the best! So yum! They also have a little game room in the back. Ordered a to go order via phone. Today's great experience started with the girl who answered the call and helped me tailor my order. I'd never had their calzones before so the time she spent was appreciated. Upon arrival, I was greeted at the counter with a pleasant voice, smile and a good attitude. Super friendly service, even though they were all quite busy. We had the K7 combo and the carnivore (all meat) calzones - both were phenomenal and highly recommended!
