Still I hung in as the food here rarely disappoints. But then I saw someone cleaning a countertop with what looked like a soiled rag. And then I saw all the others picking up food with their rubber-gloved hands. And then I thought of the genius who invented tongs and how he would have had a conniption witnessing this scene, which as I was walking out the door seemed slightly chaotic. Now looking back, it would have been better consumed immediately and not waiting the car ride back to work as it was melting. Lesson learned. I added peanut butter on it too. It's been years since I've been in a store that offered such personal, helpful service. Ordered their menu Italian sub with turkey substituted for pepperoni and added creamy garlic dressing. Got ham and cheese, no vegetables, no condiments. So close. Not! And what a disappointment! I drove back. I smiled and gave a little laugh and said you were right, it is ham and cheese. She was pleasant enough and took the sandwich back to have it remade. Then she turns to me and says it was only missing the turkey which was not correct. At this point she looked at the sandwich, confirmed I was right and worked with the staff member making the sandwich to get it right. It took an hour of my time to , a phone call and 2 trips to accomplish that. Did she offer a brownie or a bag of chips or a meaningful acknowledgement of the inconvenience or the attitude?? No. Was the corrected sandwich worth the aggravation? No. I actually thought they had forgotten the lettuce again but it was just such a minimal amount it was hiding under a slice of tomato. Will I return. No. Maybe focus more on accuracy and less on being a jerk. That side of face you served me was unwarranted. I lead with kindness, you should have followed. The portions are small, the service is lacking. Save your time and money
