To start things off, the food was amazing!! It came out pretty quick, about 15-25 minutes, and was to die for! (Though, I do not have photos of all of the dishes we ordered.) I was in a gay marriage to an Orthodox Jew for 11 years and my husband demanded we keep kosher and we ate here twice a week despite the fact that I found the food here positively repugnant! It looks like road kill and tastes awful and has an indescribable horrible texture too. The place is absolutely filthy fraught with a very serious roach issue. It also is quite rife with a foul and mysterious odor. I generally threw away 90% of what my husband insisted we order. I was so upset with my food here. We went there yesterday and I ordered a Soy and Bean Burrito which comes with guac on the side along with rice and beans. The guac came to the table brown with no flavor - the burrito just had beans after I was told it was supposed to have impossible meat? The rice on the side was dry and crunchy so I was basically just eating beans. My husband had chimichangas which were fine but the salsa and guac were gross as well. Pizza World is in a great location on Fairfax less than a block south of wilshire across from the CVS and cat corner from the Farmers Market. The place is large with comfortable booths, very clean and nicely layed out. This is an all Kosher restaurant with a large menu selection. I had the Nachos Deluxe(tasted great and very large portion), greek salad(very fresh, nice crunchy lettuce and excellent feta cheese) and tuna salad on pita(excellent soft bread and tasty tuna). The sandwich came with fries which were also great-nice crispy outside, soft inside. The Owner was very friendly, service was prompt and there was a nice, non loud crowd-Israelis and locals. So for Kosher mexican, salad and sandwiches; Pizza World is excellent. Next time I'll try the Pizza. read more

This is a great place, we showed up less than an hour before closing, and they were already cleaning up, and we had a big party, 11 people, and they didn't give us any shoot, they served us promptly. Now a word about the food, the portions and nicely sized and the prices aren't bad, my bill was about $120 for 11 people (some were small kids) but nevertheless, it is well work the money. This is a review for Pizza World which doesn't only serve pizza, they have American Pizza, and Mexican and Italian food options! I came today with a group of 14+ people after visiting the Museum of Tolerance (a few blocks away) and we were super hungry. We were so thrilled to see so many food options!!! Just a note, everything here is VEGETARIAN and KOSHER! :D We aren't Vegetarian but was excited to try the food nonetheless. FOOD: Me and my friend ordered 3 items because everything looked/sounded so good on the menu! We ordered the Burrito ($4.5), Spinach and Cheese Calzone ($7~) and Lasagna, which came with a salad ($9~) . The Burrito (Soy Medley, Beans and Rice wrapped in wheat tortilla + side of salsa) was was good but it wasn't LOVE. I felt like it really lacked flavor. I didn't feel it was too special but when I went home and ate the rest of it (to go box) I added some feta cheese and it was divine! My friend got the burrito that also had guacamole and he loved it! Gotta try that! :) The Spinach and Cheese Calzone was my FAVORITE! SO DELICIOUS, they pack on that spinach and cheese! YUMSSS! A MUST TRY!! At $2-3 a pop, you get 2 scoops of HEAVEN in your mouth! I have no idea what brand of ice cream or if it's homemade but it's DELICIOUS!!! So soft and melts in your mouth like fluffy clouds of deliciousness :) Everyone of us left full and happy :) PRICE: Decent, good value. PARKING: The parking lot is tiny and can only fit about 7 cars. Thankfully you can park for free in the street right next to it as it's a nice residential area. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! We were a group of about 14+ people and were greeted by the cashier so warmly! Even though there were so many of us, he was so nice and efficient with our orders. VENUE: It's a simple Ma and Pa restaurant; it's not fancy but it doesn't matter when the food is good and you're with good company! Clean venue and family friendly environment. This means that if you want any meat on your burrito, pizza, tacos, you will be sorely disappointed! I ordered the vegetarian personal pizza and a diet snapple for less than $10.00 The veggies were nice and cemented within the pizza, and not tact on like most places have a habit of doing. The crust had a grainy texture. I'm puzzled by the fact that they do not carry parmesan. I see no reason why they can't since they do not serve meat!
