    Ravioli and sauce

Food was very unappealing. Marinara sauce from Heinz (what a joke) calzone soupy with little cheese lots of Heinz sauce. Fried Ravioli was not ravioli at all. It was like a wannabe cheese stick but not. Some kind of cheese inside. Not something worth eating. Threw everything away and ordered from a ligit pizza restaurant across the street. So much for giving them a try.

Located right next to the grove on Fairfax! Love their pizza and their chimichangas! Always full of people and their food is honestly great. Have been coming here for the past 20 years. Great place for family meetings

I've been looking for a good kosher dairy place in the city for a while now, and I've finally found it. The pizza and appetizers are flavorful and really affordable. I personally really enjoyed the nachos ,garlic bread , and especially the seasoned fries. Great customer service and food came fast. Very impressed and would definitely recommend.

    Pizza and salad

Wonderful food and great atmosphere. Always busy and happening. Best kosher pizza in Los Angeles but I have to say that the taste of their salad dressing has changed slightly and I used to like the last one

It is rare that a restaurant telegraphs the wish to make food and the dining experience…read more"beautiful". But, I think that is appropriate for Taste of Beauty. Some years back, I studied the philosophy of Dr. Bach who gave us Bach flower remedies. His theory was that food should be esthetically pleasing, and that we would know what we should be eating by food meant for us being beautiful. Plant foods are beautiful, as Taste of Beauty demonstrates. There is nothing beautiful about the flesh of an animal on our plates, which is one reason among others that I am a lifelong vegetarian and most of the time, vegan. This is a thoughtfully designed spot. It is easy to find and park (garage in the rear for $2.00!) and the dining area itself is divided into the main room and some alcoves. In pleasant weather, you can eat on the covered patio. The place is clean, subdued, lovely, and calming. Our server was very polite and patient, explaining each element of the meal to us carefully. The descriptions of what we had, the 8-course Vegetarian menu, is on one of my photos of the menu. The dishes were delicately presented in order. Notice the exquisite artistry and the attention to tiny details in each dish. There were color, flavor, scent, and design considerations with balance being another governing factor of how everything was chosen and arranged. The selections are curated in just as thoughtful a manner as any museum. Everything we had was delicious. We do not eat large quantities at any one sitting, so this menu was perfect for lunch for two of us. One of the courses emitted a lovely smoke. Another gleamed with a gold accent, one other had fragrant sprigs of rosemary that I kept picking up to smell. All these facets made the food appetizing. See my pictures for a better idea. Do be aware that you are asked to choose at least one tasting menu (there are three), and can then order a la carte from there. I am not certain whether this was Tibetan, Nepali, Chinese cuisine predominantly but it was also reminiscent of Japanese cooking. A unique experience that was rewarding for all the senses. Dr. Bach believed beautiful food healed the mind and therefore the body. We can all use some of both these days. Please try it and I assure you, it will be memorable.

Each course is so beautifully presented, but we had our minds blown by the flavors too. Each dish has a nature theme, with flavors pulling from influences from Tibet and all around Asia. We tried one vegan course and one vegetarian, and it'll be too long to list each course here, but here are a few of our faves to give you an idea: The Island - A gentle shore of golden pumpkin and celery, where rice paper sails drift beside the earthy whisper of golden ear mushroom. The Jade - A calm green field of quinoa, tofu, and avocado, layered with cucumber, lettuce, cherry tomato, and nori sesame crumble, dressed with mirin, mustard, sesame, and a gentle touch of chili. Mountains and Rivers - Morel mushrooms with silken tofu, tender mushroom, and creamy mashed potato, dusted with barley leaf powder. The Forest - Oyster mushrooms seared over charcoal with rosemary shoyu butter, rich and aromatic. They also have some amazing cocktails! MOUNTAIN GLACIER - Cool berries and bright citrus tumble into silver tequila, smoothed by a breath of coconut. GOLDEN JASMINE - Jasmine drifts through soft whisky notes in fragrant, gentle layers-light as pale sunlight brushing the ridge of a quiet morning. For dessert we tried some of their vegan caramel ice cream, which was so rich and creamy. Our server was so helpful and took the time to explain each of the courses.

We came with a group on a saturday and they were able to seat us immediately - plenty of parking in the large plaza where the Hat and Shiki Buffet is (previously hometown buffet location). All of the items on the menu were intriguing, but I was eyeballin' the salt and pepper one and the fried tofu. My buddy got the lemongrass "chicken" and also the curry with bread. Since we were eager to try the different types of food, we did a family style and that was the best decision. We also got eggplant, and the rice cake/egg. I thought the rice cake looked underwhelming, but our entire group had a consensus and voted that as the top fave of the night. Everything was super tasty and we left happy and full and with leftovers! Super excited to return and to recommend to others. I look forward to come back to try some of the other items such as the "beef" noodle soup or the bun rieu or pho! I also appreciate that some of the dishes came with rice included -we actually ended up with too much rice, but perfect for leftovers the next day. Upon checking out, there was delicious thing by the cash register that was green and resembled a bundt cake in slices. It was labled mochi pandan, and it was AMAZING. so spongy, so delicious and a little sweet. Perfect end of the night that my buddy got one to go right after. It was made fresh and you can tell by how soft it was. I appreciate that this restaurant has vegetarian versions of common vietnamese and chinese dishes. They all were delicious and unique and did not feel too oily or heavy. They look and taste like meat and also the sauces were 100% on point. Thank you Happy Buddha!!

Food: I started with the appetizer wings -- sweet glaze with a little hint of heat -- and baby they did not come to play.
