    "Beef" chow fun
    Wil L.

The restaurant was empty on a Thursday night at 6pm. We ordered. Few items that might be a good sample of the restaurant. Tofu with broccoli in a sweet chili sauce, eggplant with tofu, "beef" chow fun, and the spring rolls. The sauce for the spring rolls was super watery and lacked peanut flavor. Of those the eggplant was by far the best with the wok flavor. Overall food was just ok for me which I guess is reflected on why the restaurant was empty at 6pm.

They give very generous portions here, I could barely finish my bowl. The flavor is just okay, not the best vegetarian soup I've had.

Saw a friend's review of this restaurant and she mentioned how good it was for a vegetarian restaurant, so of course, I had to give it a try. I normally don't go to a vegetarian restaurant, unless the food tastes almost like the real thing. Oh boy, this place did not disappoint. The restaurant is nice and clean. Staffs were very friendly. Service was quick. We ordered the followings: - Goi Cuon (Shrimp & Pork Rolls) - Com Ca Kho To (Clay Pot Peppered Fish) - Bun Bo Hue (Hue Style Spicy Beef Vermicelli Soup) All our dishes were so good. Tasted very close to the real thing. Not kidding. They gave us the Mung Bean with Tapioca Dessert (On the House). It had the right amount of sweetness. So yummy! I am definitely going back here again and try their other dishes. If you are a vegetarian or not, I highly recommend this place! Go give them a try. I'm glad I did.

Everything is vegetarian and they also have milk and bubble teas also. Free parking in a huge shopping mall. Clean and beautiful interior. When so much of San Gabriel and Temple city are non-vegetarian places, this is very refreshing to know that it is an all vegetarian restaurant. Thank you very much for providing the service for those who don't like to eat meat or harm any animals.

We came here to get some vegan Vietnamese food and we were glad we did. We got the beef Pho soup, which came with different types of tofu, mushrooms, vegan ham, and beyond beef; fried tofu appetizer; and pomegranate and green juices. Everything tasted great and healthy. We went around 2 pm and there were several parties, but still had open seating as there is plenty. The restaurant was clean and fairly spacious. The staff was very friendly and attentive! The food came out super quick! Overall, I would definitely return because of the great authentic Vietnamese food and great service!

I'd honestly rather starve. The reviews feel fake, and the Happy Buddha would cry over this place. I ordered the spicy beef, and it was nothing more than an oily noodle soup with zero flavor. I couldn't even take a second bite and left the entire dish. I even asked to confirm whether this was Vietnamese food, and they said it was which honestly made it more disappointing.

This is a must try vegan/ vegetarian place! There is a great selection of rice and noodle dishes. Service is quick. Server is friendly. We ordered our food and within 10 minutes, our food was served. Everything we ordered was delicious. Soup was flavorful. "Meats" were seasoned well and tender. Veggies were fresh and crunchy. There's also lots of seating inside to enjoy the food. The music playing is low so no need to yell to hear someone talk while you eat. Definitely check out this spot!

Unprofessional servers and substandard food quality; thus not worth recommending. More importantly, it is somewhat pricey.

As the name of the restaurant says, everything here is vegetarian. There is a variety of imitation protein to go along with your veggie dishes. The servers were very nice and courteous. Everything was pretty flavorful. My favorite out of all of the orders was the shredded bean curd. I always enjoy eating these types of bean curd dishes with a slight crunch of the bamboo. My wife enjoyed the Crispy Veggie Seafood Roll and that seem to be a big hit around the table. My parents usually order the veggie kidney with basil dish wherever they go to these vegetarian restaurants and they enjoyed this dish here as well. Overall, our group enjoyed eating at this restaurant. This is a nice vegetarian alternative to the usual regular restaurants that we go to. Ideal for bigger groups. There were only 3 of us but we ended up at a large table as that was the only table available. We got the crispy chicken with basil, fish with brown sauce and sizzling tofu. I enjoyed the tofu the best then the crispy chicken. The fish I think had five spice seasoning and seaweed (nori) to give it that fish flavor. I enjoyed the sauce on the fish but the flavor of the fish itself was just ok to me. The service was friendly and the food came out fast. Would go back again to try some of their other dishes.

Took our dad here for his birthday and everyone loved it. Prime time weekend, i will say the lines can still be long here but 1hr vs 2-3hrs at dung tai fung. Food may not be as fancy Michelin or ambiance but it definitely hits the spot. Price isn't cheap but still a bit cheaper. Overall a very good alternative but there are also still many good places if you don't care for the crazy ambiance or presentations at mom and pops spots. This is if your trying to compare with Ding tai fung, its kicked down a notch or so. Generally, better than the mom & pops yet toned down from the famous one. My least favorite is the cucumber salad and the stir fried noodles as the flavors were lacking. Everything else were good.

Thien Tam Vegetarian Restaurant proved me completely wrong. The standout dish for me was the vegetarian Bún Bò Huế, and honestly this is where they won me over. The broth was deeply flavorful, rich, and aromatic with that signature Huế spice and lemongrass heat. It had real depth and complexity, not a watered-down substitute version. The plant-based proteins had great texture and absorbed the flavors beautifully, to the point where I never felt like anything was missing. This wasn't "good vegetarian food." This was just excellent Vietnamese food, period. Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous, and the balance of spice, savory, and brightness was spot on. Even as someone who regularly eats traditional Bún Bò Huế, I was genuinely impressed by how satisfying and comforting this version was. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere made it an easy place to relax and enjoy the meal. If you're vegetarian, Thien Tam is a must-visit. If you're an omnivore who thinks vegetarian food won't hit the same, I assure you the food here will make you rethink that assumption.

I usually only order pho when I go to viet places so I wanted to expand my tastebuds and try other things. We came around 9:30 AM on Saturday morning and they open at 8 AM. Parking wasn't an issue as they have a decent-sized lot. We were greeted by friendly waiters and ordered the following items: 1. Bun Hue: 6/10 Standard noodles with veggie meats. Nothing too surprising but this was one of their more popular items according to Yelp. I appreciated the amount of veggies. 2. Banh Xeo: 7/10 This was really interesting! I didn't expect the dish to look like that but I enjoyed eating the rice noodle patties. They were delicious and the veggies were all charred well. The "gravy" was a bit weird but I used it as a sauce for the patties. 3. Pho Ap Chao: 7/10 Never had a vegan omelette before so this was a first! Lots of bean sprouts and daikon (?) radish inside. The exterior was crispy and tasted like curry? Very filling dish and they also provide lettuce/fish sauce that we eat it together with. Overall, it was a good place to try and I appreciated how they let us sit for almost 3 hours since there weren't any other customers until 11ish. Felt very healthy afterwards since it was all veggies and price wise, it's decent.

The worker came by and shut the door all the way so it didn't come in but it surprised me! Can't fault them because this is outside in the public parking lot and the lot is small and smelled pretty gross, like old trash. Not sure I want to smell that before getting my food so we opted to go wait in our car. Once it got closer to time we went in to get our food and came home to eat. They're a Thai restaurant, I hear the staff talking in Thai so I HAVE to assume that the Thai food we got would be good right?? Their Tom Yum noodle soup is YUMMY. So flavorful and enjoyable! It was our favorite! But the orange chicken.. kinda bland.. and same goes for the pad thai :( Portion size not bad but still price is steep for the quality of food they provide. I don't think I'll be back unless I was craving for Tom Yum, but I would rather fly back to Thailand and have it there
