At home in Maryland, Friday night is always pizza night, and I didn't want our tradition to end while traveling. We searched around and landed on BOGO. The appeal of different sauce choices and unlimited toppings was too good to pass up. Oh, and we definitely overloaded those pies! The pro was how easy online ordering made it to scroll through the massive list of options and build exactly what we wanted. The woe was that the order didn't come through clearly on their end, so they had to call to double-check the details (which must be frustrating for them). The pies were balanced beautifully, with toppings spread evenly so no one flavor dominated. Everything was bold, fresh, and delicious. I even tried the gluten-free crust, and they nailed it, light, fluffy, with just the right crunch. If we lived nearby, this would absolutely be a go-to pizza spot. Five stars! read more

Bogo was our favorite pizza until they messed up 2 orders in a row within 1 week and had a funky attitude. THE FINAL STRAW: Went to pick up my pizza w 2 kids in the car. Looked when picked it up, and it was burnt. (Why didn't they recognize it was burnt and remake it before i got there?) (see attached pic) They said "we can remake it". So wait for 20 min in the car with 2 kids for them to remake it, instead of them pulling it out the oven and realizing it was burnt and just redo it. They offered a $5 credit for a $20 burnt pizza. If I could give this place no stars, I would. Today was my absolute final time visiting this place. For the first time I received a subpar pizza. I wasn't feeling well so my daughter went in to pick up our pizza. I immediately checked it when she got in the car and it was terrible. She took it back inside and they were extremely rude and dismissive. I was on the phone so I heard the entire interaction. Then when I went in the man very rudely asked if he needed to read the sign to me since I didn't seem to understand the policy. Ordered pizzabogo under the impression that the pizzas would be buy one get one free, since the online menu explicitly says BOGO free and their whole business model seems to be built around this concept. However, this is not the case! They are actually buy two, get each for a discounted price. The prices are not super expensive, but we definitely paid more than we expected. The pizza itself is pretty good. They are very creative with their toppings and have flavors themed after different cuisines. Mmm my favorite fast takeout pizza joint in Cleveland! Aside from the convenience factor of being about a 2 min drive away, this place has quickly become a staple bc of the many creative combos they offer and their tomato sauce that is slightly on the sweeter side and absolutely delicious. The Milano with sundried tomatoes and balsamic glaze is one of my favorites! I lived by Little Italy for two years and none of the numerous pizzerias there even come close in taste and selection variety. We got the 4 smalls for $30 coupon in the mail. It was magnetic so it stared us in the face for a week. called and i was put on hold for like 9 actual minutes, but they said our pizzas would be ready in 35 min so i mean it evens itself out-lol. Terrible.... Came here one time back in 2012. And was met with the WORST customer service I had experienced at that time. Accused of not paying on a takeout order that I did not place. When advising the, then, staff that there must have been a misunderstanding, I was told "everything was okay" and "I could pay for the pies ordered" I was confident the issue was settled. And was handed his pizza. I was shocked. I asked him "did you order and pay online" and he answered me "of course! Who waits for a pizza nowadays?" Embarrassed I needed to know what was going on. I asked for an explanation from the staff only to be told, I was unable to order over the phone, because I didn't pay for a takeout pizza weeks ago. DO NOT FREQUENT - HORROR STORY BELOW! I don't even DO yelp reviews, this is how terrible this experience was. I ordered two pizzas, one had shrimp and the other was a pepperoni with 3 other toppings and a side of garlic butter. When I ordered I spoke to the manager and asked them if they could bag the pizza's separately as I have an AIRBORNE LIFE THREATENING ALLERGY TO SHELLFISH. First red flag is they said "we'll try". Well when it was delivered they were packaged together. Whatever. Then I open my pizza and it's missing two of the four toppings. Whatever. Then I notice my side of garlic butter is INSIDE the box with the shrimp pizza. Ok, now I'm a bit annoyed. So I call, POLITELY, just to let them know about my order. I am in town visiting family. We ordered 4 xL pizzas (2 meat pizzas and 2 vegan pizzas). Of course, they messed up the vegan order and put cheese on both pizzas plus added things we didn't order. The service here is terrible. The 2 other meat pizzas were cold and nasty and the other family members didn't even eat the pizza. When I called to see if they could fix just the vegan order, the manager was very rude, disrespectful, and wouldn't honor the fact that the person who took my order was incompetent on what vegan means and messed up on our order.. Very solid pizza. One of the appeals for me is the unlimited toppings, which lets me experiment a little more than usual. They also have a nice selection of sauce options, so I've been able to shake things up outside the typical tomato or garlic sauce base. I've always ordered online, and pizza is always ready when I arrive. There's free parking right on the side of the building, so it allows for easy pickup. Had high hopes for pizzaBOGO based on the word around town. If I was judging based on the food only, they'd probably get an additional star but the overall experience and customer service was so abysmal that even two stars feels generous. I needed to order a salad large enough to feed about 12 people and also chicken wings. I called shortly after they opened at 10:30am and placed the order easily enough. Fortunately, the menu online is accurate and up to date so no problems there. Maybe about 3 to 4 hours later, in the middle of my work day, I get a call asking for my credit card. The manager explained that because I was a new customer with no purchase history that they needed to be placed on file. Um, okay, sure. I was due to the pick the food up in a couple hours and don't understand why I wasn't asked for it when I initially placed the order or, at that point, simply couldn't wait. Pretty haphazard. Nevertheless, I called back with the information requested and whoever I talked to didn't know what was going on. He kept asking if the card I was giving him was the same one I'd be using to pay then told me if didn't matter. So why are we doing this?! Picking up the order was a disaster. They were understaffed with a line wrapped around the inside of the building and only one person working. It's a tight squeeze inside and zero fun having strangers breathing down your neck. My family has been a fan of PB for many many years. They have reached the point of no return. In the past, if they made mistakes, they would work to correct. Either a remake or a few bucks credit. "Lost" is perhaps the first word that comes to mind when I first stopped at pizzaBOGO. It's a tiny, out-of-place storefront made stranger looking at night. Inside, I wasn't sure whether I was in the lobby of a dentist's office or there to place an order for pizza. And surprise - it was the latter! BOGO is a serious deal on pizza, especially when it's at 11pm. The menu options were mind-numbing after a day of studying, but somehow we converged on making our own vegetarian pizza and BBQ chicken. The employees were super peppy and kind despite what must have been the tail-end of their shift. They gave us all the time we needed while we were in crisis mode deciding on the pizzas, and tolerated our half-asleep lounging on the couches while we waited for the pizzas. Thank goodness we were the only customers there, because we LOUNGED like the sofas were the last beds in the world. I suppose if you really wanted to, you could "eat-in" on the couches, but I assure you it won't make that much of a difference. About 15-20 minutes later, we were walking briskly back to the car with two piping hot boxes in our hands. The smell alone filling the car was nearly enough for me to sneakily start eating the pizzas in the backseat, but they were still delicious at our destination 15 minutes away. Two pizzas were satisfying for three hungry students, and they didn't feel overly greasy with each additional slice. I wasn't expecting the pizza to be so fresh from a random take-out only place, but pizzaBOGO is definitely one of the better pizza places around.
