Never have I had such a botched pizza order. I used GrubHub and ordered a deep dish two topping pizza with anchovies, onions, and added bacon for an extra $1.50. It was $19 but with the delivery fees and tip totaled over 30 bucks! Still, we were very excited at the thought of having a delicious deep dish pizza here in Cleveland and so 30 bucks wasn't amazingly hard to part with for the deep dish experience. It took over an hour to arrive which I expected for a deep dish. I opened the box. It was a large regular crust cheese pizza with some flecks of bacon near the distal edges and honest to God two or three tiny squares of white onion under the cheese per slice (yes, I dissected it). There were zero anchovies. It was not only NOT a deep dish pizza, it was barely a passable regular pizza especially for 19 bucks! I called the place. The lady who answered said they don't even sell deep dish and transferred me to a manager who said they don't even use GrubHub (only DoorDash). I said that is interesting as I have a box with your business name on it and a receipt here from GrubHub. To Angela Mia Pizza: Please let GrubHub know you don't serve what I ordered and please call and cancel to refund the order for poor patrons like me when something like this happens instead of just sending me a half-ass random pizza my cat won't even touch instead. read more

Whenever I'm in Cleveland Ohio it's a must to stop by Angela Mia to get some pizza. I even take an entire pizza back with me in the plane. Now that being said, it's take out only, the lobby is very small but the taste of the pizza is grand. We usually order three or four pizzas to have for the next day but they usually don't make it through the night. If I were you I would call it in and pick it up otherwise you will have to wait in the lobby and while that's not too bad of a thing you will certainly be upset as you smell all of that deliciousness coming from the kitchen. The veggie pizza is overly salty. Most likely due to salt as the preservative in the (heavy amount of) green and black olives on it. Very little sauce too. They and(?) DoorDash messed up my order too. I initially only received 1 of 2 items. I called to ask about the second item and escalated to the manager who did not care and said "not my problem call DoorDash". read more

Always delicious Everytime. I grew up with the Cipriani's. It was usually automatic if there was any kind of event Ryan or Joe or Andrea were in we always got sheet pizzas from Angela Mia. The pizza taste exactly the same today as it did all those years ago. Family run business to perfection. It was good to have that age old taste again. read more

I had my doubts from pictures that looked like oven store bought pizza, but the flavor and aroma is very very solid. The pizza was delicious. Each ingredient came through in a surprisingly refreshing way as well so by getting their deluxe pizza, it was like a pizza flavor explosion. I will definitely go back. The only drawback is that the menu is very much old-school pizza joint. The pizza is the centerpiece, they have some wings and subs that I did not try. The salad was a very generous portion but ultimately a bunch of antipasti-like pizza toppings on top of iceberg lettuce (by no means "bad" but very basic). read more

These people are rude as hell. I called to place an order they let the phone ring. Until they decided to pickup and hang up the call. Their pizza is good but it's definitely not worth that ignorance. It'll be a cold day in hell before I order from them. Update: The next day I call around 7 pm they tell me "We're no longer taking delivery orders". I call today to see if I can order before delivery is finished. They girl I spoke with says "we don't take delivery orders until 5:30-6pm". Really! read more

So far I've had their pizza, chicken parm, and their pasta. The standard pasta is the least noteworthy; inoffensive, and a bit boring. the pizza is really very good. The chicken parm was great. The most noteworthy thing about this place, though, is that if you take into account the prices, this is hands-down the best value I've ever encountered anywhere for prepared food. the meal deals start at like $20, and really is enough food for at least 4 people! read more

Wow I'm blown away on why I waited so long to order from this place. I got delivery and they said it would be an hour n a half and I got kinda sad but 45 minutes later my door bell rang. Service was great, very friendly driver. I give 4 stars because I ordered Chicago Style and half of the pizza dough didn't rise or they didn't put enough or something. The sauce is amazing just a tad bit salty but man ooh man.... this pizza is good. Best sauce my hubby n I have had in Cleveland! read more

Visiting Cleveland from Chicago. My 1st time. I ordered a medium meat pizza with no ham. It was very salty and they cooked the toppings under a layer of cheese that was tough as leather, the dough was very cheap had to saw through a slice with my front teeth while grease, oil & toppings dripped everywhere...Glad I was standing up when I attempted to bite this Armadillo Cheese Coated Pizza Pie, or my clothes would be ruined! Best pizza value in Cleveland, hands down. Pizza is delicious and tasty, the chicken Parmesan is excellent, as are the pasta dishes. You can feed a hungry family of 4 for less than $20. Service here has always been polite and reasonably quick. Prefer delivery because I honestly don't like driving through East Cleveland. Those cops are thirsty. read more

This place is an E.C. staple. I loved it as a boy and someone had a pizza on Xmas eve and I had a slice. I decided to order for the fam and me. I took away one star because they got toppings on one of the pizzas wrong and the cut on the small pizza was terrible. Had I not been busy being such a fatty, I would have taken a picture. Even though the toppings were wrong, the pizza was still fantastic. Better than I remember. I got some buffalo wings. They weren't exactly crispy but they were good. The buffalo sauce was really good. It wasn't a perfect experience but it happens. I'll definitely make another visit. Service was great too! Pro tip: If you get a dessert from there, skip the sweet potato pie. With one bite, you can tell it's made with oil rather than butter. Not horrible but noticeably inferior to a pie made with real butter. read more

worst service ever. This place used to be a favorite of mine until a recent unfriendly incident. After traveling all the way from the west side, i arrived at the door at 12:01, one minute after they closed. The door was locked so i called, and then i saw an employee in the back. I flagged her down to let her know that my order was already called in and she shouted 'we're closed.' Seriously, one minute after close? They would rather throw my food out (or take it home for themselves to eat) as opposed to accepting my money one minute after close? She already had her coat on, I worked at a pizza place in high school, you stop accepting orders at close. Not allowing someone in one minute after close to ring up a 20 dollar pizza? I hope it was worth losing a customer forever Angela Mias. Horrible. read more

I'm not sure how to write this review without sounding like I either work for the place or own it. This is hands down my favorite pizza. I've been eating it for 27 years and it hasn't slipped in quality. I've never had a bad experience here. Thick crust pizza? Check Regular crust? Check Pasta? Check Lasagna? Double check Hot sub? Check, Cold sub? Check They keep expanding their menu to include more and more diverse dishes and normally this would spell doom for a restaurant. Too many dishes is usually a sign of lean times but the place has never been busier. The sauce is perfect, the portions are ridiculous and the family meal packs will feed an army - AND THEY'RE REALLY AFFORDABLE. Warning: The food is great but if you want it fast - go to mcdonalds. If you want to be coddled or pampered - go to Pier W. But if you want some banging food at a fair price (not cheap but fair) go to Angela Mia. Throw a dart at the menu if you want because there are no bad choices. Oh yeah, and they're the only place in the hood that takes an AMEX without throwing a hissy fit read more

Angela Mia has been at that same location for as long as I can remember and the pizza never seems to change. I grew up eating the great taste of their zesty sauce and pepperoni, and loads of cheese and fresh veggies on a always perfect crust. Not too thick, not too thin, not too hard and not too soft, just perfect. I no longer live in Cleveland, but I keep Angela-Mia Pizza's address and phone number in my phonebook, even though I know it by heart. Every visit home is a visit to Angela-Mia's. My children have fallen in love with that same outstanding taste that I enjoyed as a child. So if you are ever in the area, give Angela-Mia a try.....HATS OFF TO YOU ANGELA-MIA PIZZA!!!!!! read more

We were seated immediately, and our server was attentive and helpful, making us feel welcome and even offering suggestions on their best-selling pizzas. I ended up ordering the sausage pizza, and while the pizza as a whole was outstanding, the sauce was the best I have ever had. Whatever their sauce recipe is, it was unbelievable, and it will be difficult to top that particular sauce. My friend enjoyed his pizza as well, saying it was one of the best pizzas he had ever tasted. Il Rione is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I will be more than happy to return the next time I am in the Cleveland area.

Since they don't take reservations, mentally prepare yourself for the wait. I came here with three friends on a Friday around 6:00/6:30 and waited around 50 minutes. It was nice outside so we just hung around outside of the restaurant. When we were seated the service was fast. We opted for the arugula salad and rione salad for the table and the salads were honestly delicious. For pizza, we ordered the larger size sausage pie (red sauce, mozzarella, roasted peppers, sautéed onions, garlic and parmesan). Thin crust with a good bite that holds its integrity pretty decently. Overall, this os probably one of the better pizzas in Cleveland.

After a little trial and error, we finally figured out the pizza shop is actually inside a grocery store. Strange setup, but we eventually found it--and honestly, it was worth both the wait and the free scavenger hunt. The pizza itself was excellent. Great ratio of ingredients, not thin crust and not deep dish--soft in the center with a crispy, crunchy edge. It does come in on the higher side at nearly $30 for a large, but considering the quality and flavor, the value is still there. A fun find with great pizza, even if the journey to get it is part of the experience.
