Pizza man Dans has delivered exceptional customer service time and time again for us since it has opened here in Camarillo!! This time the manager Jessica in the Camarillo location just blew me away by exceeding not only mine, but my tough wife's expectation as well!! Much credit due to her and I must say I will be a lifetime customer if Pizza Man Dans continues to deliver this great experience. And if Jessica is running the show I have no doubt it will be everytime. She is untouchable when it comes to Restuarant management. We called just a few hours in advance for a reservation accommodating a large party on a well known busy day (graduation) and of course she already had a large party planned ahead of us. However, that didn't stop Jessica from finding a way to accommodate not only my large party but two other large parties all at the same time!! Wow! Everything I have ever ordered here has been really well made!! Great quality and so good!! The pizzas have better and more toppings than anyone else! They offer two styles of crust that are way better than anyone else!! They offer wings that are so meaty and the sauce is so perfect I dip my pizza in it!! They are a must with any order!! They offer potato wedges that are perfectly made every time and super fresh!! And not only is all of their products perfectly cooked, it's ready super quick as well! On top of all of that, my sister in law was already having a bad day and dropped half of her freshly made large pizza after she was excepted it. Jessica quickly took total control of the situation and once again accommodated my family in a way I never dreamt possible! She took away any and all embarrassment and made us smile the whole 2 hours we were there. All of this while making accommodations for all parties in attendance. Absolute worst pizza I've ever had. I'd rather buy a frozen one from the .99 store. The crust was so hard A KNIFE WOULDN'T CUT IT! I had to just scrape off the meager toppings and throw away the crust. I put this on Facebook. For good PR, they laughingly tried to make good, however I needed a receipt. Who keeps a pizza receipt? My family and I checked out this place about 40 minutes ago. There was one other family in there besides ours (so about 8 people total in the restaurant). We ordered two large salads, a large pizza, a meatball sandwich, and got free cheesy bread. The salad bar was completely empty and it took about 10 minutes for them to re-fill it after we asked them to. The pizza came about 15 minutes after ordering (which is fine), but it took over thirty minutes for us to get the meatball sandwich and cheesy bread (and we had to ask them when it was coming out). When the meatball sandwich came it was very flattened, kind of burnt, the bread was really hard, and it was just gross (see picture). When we went to return it and ask for our money back, the employee said "What's wrong with it?"and seemed pretty annoyed that we were giving it back. The floors were also slippery and my dad almost fell. I'm giving two stars because: 1) the pizza wasn't bad. We got pepperoni and it was pretty hot but tasted fresh and the crust was really thick. 2) when we first went to order the employee was very patient with us even when we changed our order and added drinks at the last second. He was the only one who was kind though, both other employees (the one who gave us our pizza and the one we spoke to when returning the food) were not nearly as kind. This is the first time we have ordered from Pizzaman Dan since it was Me-n-Ed's and overall, it was an improvement. I phone ordered our specialty pizza on 7/16/2016 and was told by the guy on the phone that it should be ready in 15 min to pick up at the Camarillo location. When I had arrived at the restaurant, the workers had no idea about my order and had to retake it, adding on another 10-15 minutes. After a little investigation, it turned out that their phone center sent my order to their Moorpark restaurant. In the end, I did get my pizza and was able to use my coupon from their website, only negative was that I had to wait an extra 15 minutes because of the mess up from their phone center. I received an apology from the Camarillo workers, but it would have been nice to receive an extra incentive for waiting extra time. Their pizza was good, but a little expensive for what it is. Their quality and quantity of toppings was slightly above a Costco pizza, but double the price ($20.99 large specialty with coupon). Toppers and Uptown pizzas still taste better and worth the price. With many other pizza establishments in the VC, I doubt I'll be returning here. read more

Haven't been in to dine, but delivery is definitely on point. I am a big fan of the taco pizza (thin crust!), and my boyfriend has ordered the BBQ chicken calzone for lunch 3 times this week alone! (Judge him, cuz I sure as hell did.) So here's the kicker-- I am a fan of plain wings, and its tricky to find a place that can capture a big flavor. This is the only reason why I couldnt give PMD that coveted 5th star. My plain wings left something to be desired in the flavor department. But I definitely don't see that hindering me from ordering the tasty, unique pizza creations anytime soon! read more

What is wrong with these people. The woman working the front was so rude, my husband place an order online and asked me to pick up on my way home from work. I go pick it up and give her my name and number, she tells me I don't have an order placed there. Then I give them an order number and my husband info, continues to tell me no. Finally they find the pizzas that have been sitting in front of them the whole time cold by the way. I get home and my husband says the order is wrong. Unfortunately I have to update my great review I left. I am really upset that I have to do this because this is my favorite pizza restaurant and I am a very long time customer. Tonight I came in with my mom and together we ordered two gluten free pizzas and one regular. My conversation with the cashier went as follows: "I'd like a gluten free pizza" him: "gluten free?" me: "Yes" him: "what size?" me: "a small gluten free pizza to go" him: "okay small gluten free pizza to go" me: "I'd just like pepperoni and bell peppers on it and that's it" him: "okay pepperoni... annnd... bell peppers" me: "yep!" I waited for our pizzas, took them home, ate a slice and realized I had made a horrible mistake by eating that one slice. It was not gluten free. Despite my constant reiteration and having him audibly REPEAT TO ME that he knew it was gluten free. I have witnesses. So here I am, I will be sick for the next 48-72 hours because of a mistake he made. You know how food poisoning is? Imagine that but with moderate to severe intestinal pain, hives over the entire body, and an inability to leave the house. I am leaving this review for any one else who might suffer from celiac disease and who puts their faith in this restaurant to follow through with a basic gluten free order. Point being: you can't trust that what you order is what you will receive. Please be careful. I know some of you have to be hospitalized after eating gluten. This update is for you guys. Lastly, he also put in our order as dine-in instead of take out despite multiple reassurances that we wanted it to go. I feel he has no place on the register. It's not just a matter of getting the wrong toppings or something. He ruined my entire weekend and now I am very wary of ever eating at this establishment again. read more

ordered the large special thin crust it had little to no sauce and they must of changed the thin crust because this was paper thin and crunchy the wings are always overcooked like they had a order of wings cooked and just recooked or just put them back in the oil to warm and gave them to me way over cooked only thing that wasnt a bad experience was the young lady that took my order.most of the time the employes in the front just ignore you or are rude when asked questions and if you go in at night to order depending on the time they act like its a problem if you order food to eat in store, you can hear them in back talking about how they have to wash more dishes the last month this store has gone down hill. read more

Ordered a 1/2 & 1/2. Spicy sausage and pepperoni on my husband's side was much better than the Canadian bacon & fresh tomato on mine. I think the difference was that the spiciness of sausage cut some of the tang in the red sauce. Love the thin crust! All in all, good and we'll be back. read more

We ordered a couple pizza's for delivery. The first was a large 4 topping and in my opinion the pizza was average at best. I was expecting to see more toppings especially for the price point. My real issue is with the 2nd puzza, a medium pepperoni and mushroom. I opened the box to find that the pizza was way past overdone. The cheese was a dark brown and the pepperoni was burnt. The bottom of the crust was schorched. I have a hard time believing that someone didn't realize that this pizza should have been redone before sending it out. It was not edible. I didn't review lower than a 3 because I know this couldn't be a common occurrence as they wouldn't still be in business but for now I prefer other pizza restaurants. read more

We decided to try it out based solely off a recommendation from our cashier at Target. She was raving about it. And when we asked her if she's ever been to Topper's she said, "Never heard of it." I was shocked, appalled and curious. This town is a Topper's town. I am a Topper's loyalist. So to even try another pizza place was a stretch for me. But we tried it...and we loved it! The pizza is delicious! And the prices and specials are great. We will be coming here often (it's a closer drive) for us. Pizza man dan's not only has a great name for a pizza joint, but the pizza and calzones are amazing. Definitely would recommend this place. Last week we had Pizzaman Dan's at Dos Caminos elementary i bought 10 pizzas and they were the worst pizzas ever. We were 9 in our group and we had 5 left over we couldn't even give them away. We were saying " i guess we won't be going to eat at Pizzaman Dans place". Me and my family decided to give you another chance, because we couldn't believe you made horrible pizzas. We were surprised the pizza at Pizzaman Dan's place a real good, night and day from Dos Caminos experience. But your customer service at your place needs some major work. Yes they did bring the pizzas to the table and sometime later they brought half of my order of wings( ordered 24 pc) then they brought a calzone when we were almost done eating they brought the remaining order of wings. We actually placed another calzone order and that arrived prior to the remaining order of wings. During our entire dinning time nobody bothered check up on us to see haw everything was going. They were too busy talking and explaining who is in charge of who and who is the lowest person in charge. They were having great time behind the counter. Looks like Pizzaman Dan's place is a good place to hangout and get paid, employees were in their own world and never worring obout the restaurant guest. This probably why the place was empty. I was hoping to have a second place to hangout with family/guests to have pizza. But also with the type of service provided i would think twice about it. I would probly go to Toppers or flip a coin for delivery. Toppers is one side of the coin and Pizzaman the other. Pizza and beer are a perfect combination, but your beer is expensive $16 or $20 for a pitcher or $ 8 for a mug. Your pizza at your place is good but service needs to change. read more

This is my favorite pizza place in Camarillo and they also have excellent chicken wings. I usually get sausage and pineapple pizza and they use decent sized chunks of sausage. I've also tried the Philly cheese steak sub. Delicious!! read more

I ordered a special pizza half and half with 2 orders wedges. I ordered online at 6:08 my order was delivered at 6:22. I was amazed everything was perfect and fresh. I initially reviewed / rated the Camarillo location after a very bad experience. I work in Ventura, needed a quick lunch and stopped in at the downtown location; it was a VERY different experience! Staff were pleasant and professional. My individual pizza was excellent; staff took the time to explain lunch specials. Very good service, pizza, the restaurant was clean (staff were not hanging out with clients eating) and a good value. They even let me use their pen to complete our transaction! Something was definitely going on at the Camarillo store; I am not sure I will return there, but it was excellent in downtown Ventura. read more

The pizza is good, usually get the thin crust (the sausage is big, pepperoni is greasy do I prefer veggie), calzones are yummy too! Bbq chicken calzones is good or make your own I love the veggie combo calzones with meat added, they give you doing sauce on the side. Sandwiches and calzones are a good deal. Pizzas can be rather expensive! We would def order more often of they sent out more coupons or had better deals. Chat afford twenty five dollar pizza every friday compared to mine bucks elsewhere when you can get two large pizzas for less than one (even if this pizza IS good)!! read more

I haven't eaten toppers in about 2 years and I'm not sad about it. I love the people that work there but especially in cam! They've become friends and they are always on top of it. Really good meatball sandwiches! My car had broken down so I have ordered from here a couple of times. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The meatballs are tender and full or flavor, great marinara sauce and the perfect amount of melted mozzarella. The lady who delivered both times is super friendly. I went with an open mind but it was horrible. The salad bar was water logged and the veggies were old. I ordered 2 pizzas, thin crust. The first came out as a thick crust and super greasy. The other I ordered with cold tomatoes. Instead they added cold tomatoes on top of the cooked tomatoes and charged me an extra $3.25. When I asked about the charge, the girl argued with me and the manager stood behind the counter and never came out. The only redeeming quality was the IPA on draft but I was so annoyed with the management and service I refused to buy a second pitcher. If I could give this place no stars, I would.
