This is quality pizza. I have been coming here for awhile. There pizza is unline anything else around. I really enjoy the thick crust. It is made by rolling up the edges of the pizza till it has a thick crust and usually some topping are in the crust too, yummy. Cheapest pizza around, no, but high quality and always have coupons. They also have a pretty far delivery range. I am near 141 and manchester and they deliver to me. You get a good amount of toppings and if you order extra cheese I guarentee you that you will know you got extra cheese. Their thin crust is also good as well. read more

Our first time here! We thought this was a casual, serve you at the table, sit down place. It's clear it's more of a take out/delivery joint. The phone never stopped ringing this Saturday night. There are a few tables so you can place your order at the counter and sit down. Between the three of us we ordered a side Caesar salad, house salad, spaghetti with marinara, ziti with meat sauce and a calzone with pepperoni. Food gets a strong 4.5 stars while the dine in service gets a 3.5. The food came out a bit at a time, they had forgotten about the house salad. The cook asked if I wanted provel or mozzarella for the calzone. Being a Chicago girl,I of course said mozzarella. That seemed to be the right choice because it made him smile! So much food we had to take 1/2 home. They say they make a Chicago style Italian Beef. I've eaten some of the best but I think we will make it back here to give it a try! read more

Used to come here over 10 yrs ago. We loved it then and just recently started ordering it now. It is even better than I remember. We were ordering from Boardwalk pizza. Which the pizza is good and the owner is super nice but this pizza is better. The cheese and toppings are really good quality that you can see and taste. The crust is awesome. If you've been to Pizzarelli's a few years ago and were disappointed, be sure to go now. They are under new management, and it's made a huge difference! This place has quickly become our family's favorite, go-to pizza place in West County! We've only had the pizza (haven't tried the salads or apps), and we absolutely L-O-V-E the New York style crust - it's perfect!. The toppings are fresh and delicious and they have a nice variety to choose from. Just beware, their typical cook on the crust is much darker and crunchier than some might like, but they are more than happy to adjust-we get the lightly cooked crust and it's got the perfect bite and pull every time! The staff is always nice, helpful and quick. The owner has been there every time we've gone in, and he goes out of his way to make sure you have a good experience. A huge bonus is the fact that they have some tables there, so if you like your pizza as hot as possible, you're in luck: grab a drink, have a seat and enjoy some of the best pizza in town! read more

The closest thing to real NY style pizza in Saint Louis metro area. They were bought out recently, and aren't quite as good as they used to be, but are still the best we've found in 10 years of living in the Saint Louis area. Of course, if you are addicted to IMO's and St. Louis style pizza, you'll likely find that Pizarelli's is not for you. For those who are Northeast US relocatees (or have just eaten pizza from there), this is your place! It's a bit of a "hole in the wall", as are most good NY pizza joints, so I recommend carryout or delivery (small charge) over eating in the "dining area". read more

I'm originally from Chicago and consider myself a pizza snob. The new owner, as of 2012 is a Chicagoan.... and he know's how to make good Chicago style pizza. We love their Chicago style thin... by far the best pizza I've found since living in St. Louis for the last 26 years. The NY style is very good, as is the Chicago deep dish... but their Chicago thin with sausage, green pepper and mushrooms is dah bomb! Their wings are good too. They have great pizza when they can get it to you in a timely fashion. My last 2 attempts at ordering delivery were terrible. The first was an hour later than promised and the pizza arrived cold! The second I called when they opened and asked for the pizza to be delivered at 5:30. I called three times looking for my pizza. At 5:45 I was told that the delivery driver just arrived and it would be leaving soon, at 6:00 I was told it was leaving the restaurant, at 6:17 I was told it was pulling out of the parking lot. I told them to keep it. Asked for a manager to call me...nothing. I sent an email on their website and I got no response. I've never had worse service. I just finished eating Pizzarelli's Pizza for the first time tonight, and I must say that I am hooked! Talk about your fresh pizza, it doesn't get any fresher! We walk in and are eagerly waited on immediately. There is one guy in his mid thirties and a couple of teenagers. The teens were very shy yet nice, and the man was very outgoing and fun to talk to. We placed our order: two 10" pizzas with three toppings each. Our total was $15 with the $5 coupon they had! The man, I believe they said his name was Bobo, started stretching the dough and told us it'd be about 20 minutes. We walk around the strip mall, come back, pick up our pizzas and are on our way. From the first bite it was heaven. I got a Hawaiian Pizza on Sicilian crust and Shawn got Deep Dish Hamburger, Sausage and Bacon. The Deep Dish had fancy cut and curled crust that was simply beautiful to look at. We used to visit but their employees are so engaged in their own lives, we decided to let them have their fun and try other places. When you tell a customer your order will be ready in 45 minutes and then make them wait another 35 minutes once they arrive, it says a lor about management. I have ordered to go orders for dinner from Pizzarellis' for years. While the delivery often takes quite a while (ok a very long time) the food quality usually makes up for it. So, I decided to go in person for lunch today. I ordered a steak sandwich, which I have had many times before. I was told the order would take ten minutes. It took over 25. This gave me plenty of time to sit and observe orders being cooked. I was extremely disappointed to see that the food was handled without gloves and one male had very long hair that he kept swinging out of his eyes, almost inviting some to fall into the food he was preparing. Not to mention, the facility itself could use a good cleaning. How they pass inspection by the health department is beyond me. Regardless, I was still hopeful that my long awaited lunch would be as delicious as I have had for dinner delivery. Unfortunately, it was not. The amount of grease on the sandwich was simply unbelievable. I wish I had never gone there in person for lunch so that I could blissfully continue to order delivery at night, but alas, I may have to find a new pizza "go to" place. read more

OMG, this is the most disgusting restaurant EVER! The dirty greasy floors, the cook wiping his sweaty forehead then reaching in to grab toppings and put on someone's pizza. I watched this as the (I guess) manager was on the phone with a customer telling them it may be an hour and a half for delivery and they could call somewhere else. When he finally acknowledged I was standing in front of him, he asked if he could help me. I shook my head no, and walked out. Pretty disappointed with our first experience with this restaurant. We ordered a pizza for delivery at 6:46 pm (after 8 minutes holding on the phone) and were promised pizza within an hour (we live 7 min away according to google maps). My husband called the store at 8:07 pm when the pizza still had not arrived & was still on hold 5 minutes later when our "dinner" finally arrived an hour & a half after ordering. All we ordered was a pizza & fried mushrooms. The mushrooms left a lot to be desired and the pizza was good but not really worth that long of a wait when we have two kids with bedtimes. Don't think we will be ordering from here again. There is much better NYC style pizza in the STL area without the unprofessionalism. We also didn't appreciate our ticket order, which was sent with the driver, containing our entire credit card number & expiration date. Thank goodness we got it & the driver didn't just throw it away. The lack of security for customers' financial information is shocking! read more

I can only base my review on the cheesy bacon fries lol. Seriously the best ever and the portion is huge for the price ($5) They are so good, we eat here at least 2-3 times a week (they probably think we are crazy). It's literally across the street from us so it's easy. I forgot I've had the Philly cheesesteak too. It's pretty good, the only suggestion id make is grilling the onions and peppers or something. They aren't cooked and are freshly cut so it tastes weird. I usually get it without them. The only complaints i have is time and business hours. They say it's ready in 20 and my fiancé gets there and it takes yet another 20 to be done (I think they throw it in once he gets there honestly- he says he always sees em start on it when he arrives). Also they have lunch specials from 11-3 but the place doesn't open til 4 except for on Fridays so I find that odd. But because the fries are to die for and my fiancé likes going in and talking to the college kids, it's 5 stars from me! read more

What a mess! Thank goodness I had a groupon! Place is disgusting with no one trying to fix. Dirty tables, air conditioning broke or not on on a 90 degree day with no shades down with sun blaring into the windows. Oh you need a bathroom? You have to go next door to frailey's or walk over to cvs. Just seems like they dont care about dine in. Sausage had no taste dont see why the rave on that one. I recently moved back to the area after being gone for over 2 years. Was craving pizza and Pizzarelli's is just across the street from us. We ordered the family meal - pizza, salad and wings, and were we ever disappointed. The salad was good - I don't know too many places that can screw up a salad, the wings were underdone (mom tried 2 and both were pink inside) and the pizza...well, we ordered the thin and crispy...it was thin but certainly not crispy. The crust was tasteless, doughy and limp (the pizza was cut in squares and each piece drooped when picked up), the sauce rather bland, toppings were nothing special and rather sparse, and the cheese was thick and chewy. No gooey, yummy, string trailing from your mouth here. This was definitely not a well spent $33.58. They might be the closet to us, but we won't be ordering from here again! read more

My wife is from New York and I've been visiting there for 10 years so I've gained appreciation for good New York pizza. Up there they'll tell you it's water and the crust that makes the difference. I frankly don' t know what it is, but Pizzarelli's is the ONLY place we've visited outside of New York that reminds us of a true NY pizza. It's always fresh, always good. I would give this awesome pizza a 5 star, BUT the folks that work there when the owner Brian isn't there do not seem to care one iota about customer service! I've called many times only to be placed on HOLD EVERY TIME, even when I know they are just putting the phone down and i can hear talking in the background. Customer is king and if you don't have employees that care about the customer you're business is going to fail. Domino's, Pizza Hut and Papa John's all have on-line ordering...having that would make ordering from here hassle free and avoid talking to these less than perfect employees! I got an 18 inch new york style cheese and baked ziti. Not as good as Papalinos in Louisville, but a solidly good pizza. I didn't notice any of the issues that some people mentioned; it seemed clean and the staff was nice. If I'm back in St. Louis I'll go again. read more
