After gorging on Thanksgiving staples like Turkey and Mashed Potatoes, we wanted something simple and low maintenance for dinner tonight. Pizza delivery is an obvious solution in these kinds of situations but living in Reno, there are SOO many options. I voted for Pizzava not so much for the Pizza but for the Cinnamon Balls. You know, the delectable chewy pizza dough balls that are coated in butter and cinnamon and come with CREAM CHEESE (need I say more?) frosting for dipping. That was what I needed but we added a Pizza (The Boss) for good measure. We ordered delivery because the parking is so limited there, it's nearly impossible. We were told to expect an hour wait for our foods to be delivered but to our delight, it arrived in just over 30 mins. We were super stoked about this until we realized our pizza was room temperature and our Cinnamon Balls were dry and hard as if they'd been sitting around in the box for hours and hours. Sad day for me as it was my main reason for choosing Pizzava. Their pizza is usually pretty tasty but the Cinnamon Balls are the reason I choose them over another Pizza place. They are what stands out for me and this time, they just weren't good. I'm really hoping it was a fluke and maybe we just got a bad batch. read more

While visiting Reno, we were craving some late night pizza. Pizzava was close by, open late and delivered! We placed the order online and it was delivered with 45 minutes. We received it with plates, peppers and Parmesan cheese. We ordered an XL pepperoni and bacon pizza and a medium cheese. The XL pizza was perfection!!! However the cheese pizza was burnt (the crust was black & crunchy). We ate it so fast, I didn't get any pictures. But overall we'd definitely order again. read more

I reviewed this spot years back when they first opened but they have grown and improved so much since then that they deserve an update! These brothers (I think they are brothers) continue to make excellent pizza and more importantly continue to do so with excellent service. But even with them doing all these amazing things the one thing that impresses me the most is their intelligence and understanding the market. I have operated a hotel for over 15 years now and needless to say I have made thousands of recommendations on restaurants and pizza delivery. The one who offer the best food/service and more consistently come by with menus (even free food) have always got my entire teams support. I hope these guys continue to spend the small amount of effort and money on these things. I assure you it's worth it!! read more

Low Morale, no Wi-Fi. As I walked in last night I had the latest pictures of prices on the menu from my YELP app, the pies were all the same EXCEPT for the prices. This inflation will have you paying $20 for a large pizza. Now I make a lot of pizza at home. I don't do any fancy tossing. I use a rolling pin. But how is a little dough, yeast, oil sauce and cheese bought wholesale add up to $20 US American Dollars? Pizza is easy to make. There's no serious skill or luck required to make one, with sufficient practice and instant pizza yeast you can crack one out in no time. So it just seems like this place charges a bunch. I had the meataholic and I ordered some wings. The wings were the same price as the menu showed, guess inflation hasn't caught up with the wings yet. The wings also came with a healthy amount of sauce and were very good. Something about staying the same prices that made my mouth happy. While I waited peculiar events were afoot. Someone was fired. I've heard of armchair quarterbacking, but never armchair management. I assume both require the same amount of skill. This manager didn't have the stones or the decency to fire this employee in person. The Latin boy get the call and tells his coworkers that he's been "let go" and leaves. The mood in the place changes. From music and laughter to employees asking each other why their coworker was fired? Music stopped and delivery drivers tearing up as news is passed along while they make their pickups. I've never seen such a display of low morale. Makes me wish when the owners hear of this they fire the manager from this Thursday in front of everyone. I asked two employees for the "guest-pizzava" Wi-Fi password. They asked others and no one knew the password. Now if I go to someone's place and I'm a guest and they don't give me the Wi-Fi I consider that Rude. I'm not saying that anyone was rude, but no Wi-Fi really blows. You really should post it somewhere. Wings were great, pizza was a little too thick. Some of the meat wasn't cooked properly and you went a little bananas on the cornmeal. Parmesan cheese packers don't have much cheese, should give more of those with the pies. We ordered chicken wings here with bbq and buffalo sauce on the side and medium pizza woth everything on it. The food quality here is pretty good. I like how everything is flavorful without being too salty. The pizza was great too, we shared between two people and it was more than enough for is plus the wings. We ordered pizza from Pizzava, to have delivered to a local bar. We waited almost an hour for our pizza, which was good, but we were very disappointed in the service. Our delivery person was nice, but arrived with nothing but our two XL Pizzas and two salads. When we asked for plates and utensils, He offered to drive back to the restaurant for plates. We then got a call from the restaurant telling us they were out of plates. We spent $86 and tipped 25%, and didn't get a napkin or a plate; there were two forks for the salads. The six of us shared two forks for the salads and we used paper towels out of the bathroom to eat our pizza on. We will never order delivery from them again. Very disappointing. This is a go to, affordable, late night pizza spot. They're always very quick with preparation. If you choose delivery, it is not that much more expensive. I also don't mind hanging out in the space while waiting for my pizza. Their BBQ Chicken pizza is my favorite off of the menu! Give it a try! read more

This is some dang good pizza!! The crust here is thinner than most but not crispy thin crust. Easy to fold. The pizza sauce is delicious. I am pretty simple and just get pepperoni. An XL was perfect for 2 people with some leftovers. The price also was good for the portion. I've gotten delivery via doordash from here but this time I went in to pickup and wow were they working their butts off in there! They were super busy with calls, mobile orders, and delivery workers, but they managed to keep their cool and be extremely kind and patient. I like that there are loading zone parking spots, I was lucky to get one, but hard to say how often they are available being in a hot spot of midtown. read more

Is Pizzava flashy? No. Is it the best pizza in this entire planet?? Probably not. BUT Pizzava is consistent. Since coming to Reno it's been hard to find a real solid slice of pizza for some reason, but every time I go back to Pizzava it gets the job done. They're open late, their prices are reasonable, and the pizza isn't half bad! I usually just go with a pepperoni pizza but most recently I got a combination pizza and it was good as well! Pizzava is some of our favorite pizza in Reno! They do it right here with real mozzarella cheese and all the toppings! This place stays open late so it's perfect after a night of drinking at the Z bar. We typically order online through the app and our pizza is always ready at the exact time quoted. They also have a customer reward program so we get a lot of coupons and discounts. We always order a size bigger than what we can eat because the leftovers are so good! We live in Sparks, but this pizza was so good that we will be willing to make the drive to midtown to get it again. The dough was perfect: thick, chewy crust around the edge and thin in the middle. The toppings were plentiful: the double pepperoni pizza comes with an amount of delightfully spicy pepperonis that makes you say, yep, that was double the normal amount. The pizza tasted excellently both on the evening we ordered it and the two following days when we reheated leftovers in the toaster oven. Their website is slick and modern, and it's easy to order online. The photos were helpful in giving us ideas about what kind of pies we wanted to order. Two large pizzas with a ton of toppings cost us $48, which seems comparable to me to Blind Onion/Wild Garlic. First time Here. It is nice to find a pizza place downtown that serves pizza till 3 AM. Parking can be tough though. We parked in the Motel carport just long enough to get the to-go order. Took a bit of time as there were a lot of people waiting for their late night pizza. What we ordered: Alfredo Chicken Motto Calzone 16 in chicken and mushrooms with Alfredo sauce. A friend convinced me to go in on an delivery order for watching the foosball. He loves this place but I don't get the hype. It's very average pizza and when you factor in delivery, it's something like 30 bucks for a medium two topping pie. There are just so many better places in town with way better pizza for the same or less. If you want pizza delivery at 2 in the morning though, this is the only place to do that. read more

I was very impressed with the quality of pizza and service we received here the other night. My girlfriend and I stumbled in here at 2:30 am on Saturday night and ordered the steak bomb pizza. Not only did they have it made in 8 minutes flat, but they upgraded our medium to a large at no extra cost. The staff were incredibly friendly, offered us a ton of ranch for free, and then to top it all off, offered us a second pizza that had been called in and never picked up for free! I am back in town this week, finishing up my stay now. I had to enjoy Pizzava while I was here. I enjoyed it twice over the last week, once last Wednesday and again tonight. They have some of the best pizza I have ever had! I always get the extra large double pepperoni. Just delicious! They use good quality pepperoni and lots of it! This is supposed to be a "late night" service place. Unless you order from a third party service don't expect anybody to attend to within 20 minutes. This is an abomination to late night service in Reno. It's pathetic to what it used to be five years ago with places such as Noble Pie and Golden Flower. We came to order wings and it took 20 minutes to service us and it took another 20 minutes to actually get wings in town so you might as well order from any third-party service and cut the business completely out of it. We were trying to do the right thing by coming in and ordering from the business directly, but they are obviously uninterested in our direct business. So from now on, I'll be ordering, if I ever choose to order from them again, from DoorDash. The wings were OK at their finest, but definitely not a place. Always quick delivery and great service! My husband would say their pizza is one of his favorite in all Reno. I have a gluten allergy so order their cauliflower crust. It's good for cauliflower crust! But I've found that if I get it with pepperoni that the grease makes it soggy. I've switched to getting the Hawaiian and that is much better! What has happened to your chicken wings?? They are now half the size they were a few months ago. It's funny that you are putting them in smaller foil trays....I suspect to make them look bigger. Sad. If this is your new normal perhaps you should lower the price, or add more wings. Pizza was good, but more greasy. Online ordering was a breeze, and our order was delivered sooner than expected. 3.8 -- Pizzava is our go to pizza spot! I have to take a pause on eating dairy, but I love that they have a vegan cheese option that actually tastes good! The cinnaballs are also sooo delish and not to be missed! Taking a star off for order accuracy though--I'd say every third or fourth order we have has something wrong with it, namely missing toppings. For example one time I got pepperoni and mushroom, and it came with only mushroom. A pretty big bummer considering that we aren't asking for many to begin with. read more

Called because our house was showing out of the delivery range. We had just had our flights canceled over and over again and a 6 hour travel day turned into a 30 hour nightmare. My friend had a coupon for 15% off his order here, so we ordered some pizza togo! 3 of us split a medium Buffalo Chicken pizza and a large The Boss. It was the perfect amount for 3 people! They have a lot of variety on their menu. Ordering online was easy. Our total was only $41 which I thought was very reasonable. There is no indoor seating, it is more of a pickup or delivery place. The pizza tasted good, they both had ample toppings and were cooked appropriately with no burnt ends. It's not my favorite pizza I've had in Reno, but I was full and satisfied after finishing this meal! I loved the ranch and highly recommend getting extra sides if it for dipping. I swear pizza places always have the best ranch! They gave us packets of crushed red pepper and Parmesan but the Parmesan was in a thick plastic pouch with no tear perforation--it was almost impossible to open. Pizzava is amazing! They have great crust, they're thorough, and for late night pizza I am in awe. My boss wanted to add on garlic knots last minute to a large work order so I freaked and immediately ordered through Grubhub. They said the knots would be delivered before 11:30 which was perfect. I added on a meatball sub pizza just in case the pizzas from the other place weren't up to par. It was beautiful and the knots were fantastic. Everyone raved about the marinara sauce.
