Probably my top 3 pizza places in Eugene. Great pizza, comes out quick, great service too!

While waiting for my food order from another food truck, I was curious about this brightly lit truck parked in front of the Coldfire Brewery. It's a roving woodfire pizza truck and had I not already ordered my dinner I would have definitely tried their pizza. However, I did notice that there were zeppoles in the menu. I ordered the zeppoles, each order came with 6 (for $7). They're fried doughnuts, but not made from yeast and aren't really doughnuts at all in the traditional sense and are more dense. These were made to order, freshly deep fried and then smothered in powdered sugar; plain and not filled. They smelled so delicious when they were handed to me in the box. The texture was amazing and had a lemony aroma and tasted so good. It's not overly sweet nor did it have any greasy after taste. Definitely worth ordering again and so I will be returning. read more

I've been watching Billions TV show and they showed Neapolitan pizza that looked amazing. So when we visited family in Eugene, I searched for Neapolitan pizza and found Pizzeria DOP, a mobile pizzeria. That pizza search took me to ColdFire Brewing on Mill Street where Pizzeria was on this Tuesday evening. The adventure began. We went to ColdFire, got a beer, and enjoyed a Bianca and a (I forgot the name but it had oyster and other wonderful mushrooms) pizzas. Both pizzas were delicious! The Bianca pizza had lovely cheeses and chili oil, the mushroom pizza was out of this world. The beer? That's another review. Our 3-year old granddaughter grieved when the pizza crust was gone-it was that good. Go get you some wonderful pizza and maybe even a beer! read more

I have wanted to try this place and finally found them at the Farmer's Market. My son and I tried Tree Carne and it was delicious! I called in our order. Quick and easy pick up, just 10 mins. I like how they don't cut the pizza if you are picking up. It helps keep the pizza from being soggy! We finally made it home and totally enjoyed our pizza. Wow. Speechless. Went to Pizzeria DOC and was blown away. Staff - 5 stars. They are all passionate and professional and stellar at their craft. I was so impressed with everyone and the pride they take in delivering a wonderful experience. Food/drink- 5 stars the pizza is exactly how a Neapolitan pizza should be. The middle is intended to seem soggy and doughy with the crust a bit charred. The sauce rivaled any pizza in Italy. The ingredients, the oven, the care in making it was amazing. The pasta with meat sauce was delightful. The salad was perfectly dressed and delicious. The wine was perfect. Ambiance was 4 stars. Had to stop by for a pizza and salads I had heard so much hype about the food. Visited when the truck was at Coldfire Brewery. We had a couple of pizzas and a DOP salad. Unfortunately the pizza was doughy and undercooked and the salad was average. Very disappointing! I've had this truck on my pizza list for a while, so we tracked them down last night when they were posted up at Oakshire. Pizza + beer? Match made in heaven as we all know. :) We tried the Puglian and Montanara. Simple fresh ingredients and overall just excellent. The Montanara is made on the fried dough base, which I'd never heard of or tried before. It gives it a nice chewy texture (almost tasted sweeter to me, even though I'm sure it's the same dough) but still had the char from the oven. Fun combo of texture! You can actually order the fried dough base for any pizza though too. We'll definitely visit Pizzeria DOP again. read more

Hand down the best pizza in Eugene. If you like a thin Neapolitan style pizza, this is the place to go. The ingredients are so fresh and everything we've had there has been excellent. I'm a sucker for just a simple margherita pizza and my partner really likes the addition of their sausage. Worth mentioning that they won't put toppings on just half of a pizza, so you will have to commit for the whole pizza. We've tried their fried pizzas as well, they are tasty but the frying seems unnecessary to me when their original crust is so good. Their DOP salad is quite tasty as well, seems like their spin on a Cesar salad. One person could easily eat a whole pizza or two people could split a pizza and a salad if you are looking for a little lighter meal. We frequent this truck at least once a month and the quality is really consistent. They do have a weird hang up about not cutting their pizzas if you order it to go, so you will have to cut it yourself at home. The wait for a pizza varies from 10 min to an hour depending on the night, but it's always worth the wait for us. read more

This place is fabulous! The food is beautifully prepared and the menu is well-crafted. I tried a special pizza that had roasted peppers and castelveltrano olives, and not only were the toppings delicious but the crust had that perfect stretchy elastic consistency with good char and bubbles. The salad was divine: thin slices of apples, shaved rutabaga, hazelnuts, blue cheese. (The ginger in the dressing was a surprise that felt a bit fusion-y, but the gestalt of that salad was really delectable so it's not necessarily a complaint.) I also tried the zeppole (donuts), which were fresh-fried and crispy and covered in powdered sugar. Overall, this place is a real gem and worth supporting. Just make sure to track down where the truck is on which days; apparently it moves around to different locations during the week. read more

Stopped by tonight & we were greeted promptly. Got out pizza to go and they were delicious perfect personal sized pizza and will fill you up, but you can also share . The pizza is fine- it's interesting and we don't have much like it in town so if you're looking for something different, this is an option. I really liked the mushroom pizza, and the fried pizza was interesting in a good way. My issue with this place, and what will keep me from going back is that both pizzas were missing extra charge ingredients. We placed the order online, and added one meat to each pizza (for $2 each- about 13% the cost of the pizza). This made the total bill for 2 small pizzas $31 before the tip). When we got the pizzas home we noticed neither pizza had the additional charge item. I emailed the owner at their contact information, and never got a reply. I understand mistakes happen, but these were very simple add ons, offered directly on their ordering process, and for a charge. My personal opinion is if you upcharge for an ingredient, it sure better be on there. And If you make a mistake- fix it. At least acknowledge it. It's only $4, but the fact that 2/2 items were wrong, and I got no reply at all to even acknowledge the issue means I will not frequent this place again. If you choose to eat here, and it's worth trying- just check your order before ever going anywhere to make sure it's correct. read more

This very well may be the best pizza in town and is certainly some of the closest pizza I've had since traveling through Italy. My group and I sampled five different pizzas, their zeppoli (doughnuts), and the arancini. It was all fabulous but the pizzas really stood out and we added truffles to three of them. The Puglian and the Calabrian were very very delicious. I can't believe this still may be a hidden gem but judging by the few reviews, I guess it hasn't been discovered by the masses just yet. We hired Pizzeria DOP/Rocky to cater our daughter's wedding, and every single guest made a point of saying how amazing the food was. (Many said it was the best wedding food they have ever had) Everything tasted fresh, and the pizzas were fired quickly so our guests didn't have to wait for the new pies to come out. My only suggestion if you hire them for catering: have business cards or a sign out because your guests WILL ask you where they can get more of this fantastic food! read more

Wood fire pizza its a fast slow food. You can tell alot of labor goes into making a pizza. My personal Favorite is a bianca add castlevatrano olives, if you add any meat youll be happy. When it busy theres a wait, but all great things come with time. If the wait is really long, id get a small app while im waiting. I've had pizza from the truck several times but took my first trip to the storefront and was expecting a good pizza to be a giving but was happy to see so much more offered and all done with quality that you expect when eating at a DOP. The other standout was the crew that was put in place here as we hear how difficult it is to have a full competent staff in today but this crew is absolutely outstanding in helping you choose your meal and also preparing the meal at the same time. The pizza is the real deal if you are looking for Napolitano style without a trip to Italia. Could not have asked for a better pie. The brick and mortar location of this popular food cart has a sort of controlled chaos atmosphere. Music way too loud for conversation, crazy seating arrangement, miscommunication with the hard-working staff for our table, which one person said was ours, only to have the boss kick us out of the table because it was promised to others. Ended up eating on a tiny shelf which is supposed to be a counter, staring at a wall. Having said all that, the pizza was fabulous, and any sort of bugs in their seating system will surely work themselves out. Def will eat there again. read more

Extremely disheartened by my experience here tonight at Oakshire. I've had DOP a few times now, and have been telling everyone it's the best pizza in town. Well, the pizza IS good. But not good enough to take the condescending, argumentative BS that we did from the owner tonight. Terrible customer service with the exception of Riley. We ordered using their online system because duh, easy - convenient - etc. The email said our order would be ready in 30 minutes. Well our salad and rice balls came out in probably that amount of time, but the pizza took 1.5 hours. We inquired once about an hour in and was told it would be another 5 - 10 minutes. The employee admitted that they know their online system gives a false sense of timing, I responded that they should probably not use that system anymore. I watched several customers ask for refunds and heard one customer having a full on yelling match because the response from the owner/operator was aggressive and rude. Knowing how busy they were, we understand a wait time. But managing expectations and having some sense of remorse for a 3x longer wait time would be nice. Oh no, don't expect that from this guy. He doesn't care. You pay up front and you wait, and then you have to argue to get your refund. 1/10 do not recommend. read more

i got the rigatoni and it was good, but my favorite was definitely what my friend got. she got the margarita pizza, and it was sooo good. the flavors on that pizza were immaculate. she also added salami on top of it, because they didn't have pepperoni, and that made the pizza (in my opinion) a 10/10. they also had a good playlist, and cool servers. i definitely recommend trying this place out. read more

By reputation, I went in expecting to like the pizza and it did not disappoint. Pizza DOP immediately vaulted into the top tier of its category - "Artisanal / Authentic" - for Eugene pizza (for reference, I have it 1-2 in no particular order alongside Hey Neighbor / I rank Sizzle Pie, Pegasus and Track Town as top tier "Delivery" options). The menu is simple and the pizza is great, but don't be afraid to create your own pie if you don't see something that jumps at you - while this place is spitting out authentic, 90 second pizzas from its 800 degree oven, you won't get a hard time for concocting something that sounds best to you. This place is a diamond in the rough. Quality ingredients, cooked well, with nice people. It is also priced very reasonably imo. It may be difficult to find where this food truck is parked though, I wish their current schedule was posted cleary on their website.
