Excellent flavors and the owners seem really proud of their craft. Seating might be a challenge if they get busy but we got a spot quickly and had food within 20 minutes of walking in. Meatballs and margarita were delicious, we are excited to go back and try other items on the menu. read more

Expect zero customer service here. They are rude to their customers and they don't care about treating the people who buy their overpriced pizza well. We waited 45 minutes for a margarita and when I went to ask about it the owner blamed me telling him we confused them with how we had ordered. He was super rude and I was really taken aback. I went in around 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon for the first time. The were four or five people in line ahead of me waiting to order and the seating area was half full which amounted to about 8 customer. I had planned on ordering a pizza to go which in talking to the folks in line was something that this restaurant does. I waited in line with the others for approximately 25 minutes while the two owners/pizza makers worked with their backs to us, never acknowledging us once while we waiting. When it was finally my turn to order I was told that they are too busy to do takeout. I was very frustrated however politely suggested they should have announced they were no longer doing takeout or put a sign so customers were not wasting their time. The response I got from the female owner was an exaggerated eye-roll as she glanced past me to ask the next folks in line what they wanted...though I happened to know they were ordering takeout as well. I guess she felt her time was more valuable than mine. Similar to many other reviews, the customer service is here is terrible and it is clear that these two rookie owner/pizza-makers still have a lot to learn about business, people and life in general. Making pizza is easy, making loyal customers is not. It might work in Philly, but then again Cheez Wiz and rudeness are gourmet accoutrement in Philly. This ain't Philly. read more

Looks like they have a nice oven, but from my visit not a nice attitude. I walked in at 9:06, there were still lots of people but it looked like the oven was already closed up. I got the owners attention, who was rude and turned his back to me as I walked in and respectfully asked if they were still making pies. I was plenty understanding if the answer was no, but instead the answer and interaction with the owner was unpleasant and rude. They say "we don't have a phone, we like to talk to people," welllll that seemed far from the truth and was a waste of my time to have stopped in. read more

I'm surprised by the one and two star reviews--not only because most of them are laced with entitlement or because the reviewers are so willing to damage a nascent, very small local business, but also because I found Ida to be a genuinely special place. Not many other restaurants in Burlington provide the kind of artful, quality food served at Ida, and not many have a space as unique and beautiful as Ida's. The space is definitely small, and it seems like there are just two people that work there, so perhaps you can't expect the traditional American restaurant experience when they're busy, but I've always felt welcome and always enjoyed the experience. read more

This is quite easily the best pizza North of New Haven. Impeccable dough, incredibly high end ingredients, and fun ambiance. Anyone leaving a negative review here is either a complete philistine, or the very archetype of why most people in the service industry despise this platform.. You wouldn't walk into a painters studio and demand that they start using more Red, so why would you expect to treat this bastion of pizza artistry any differently? I was very hesitant to eat here. I follow these guys on Instagram and I have always wanted to try their pizza, but I have consistently heard from friends that their customer service is horrible. The stuff they post on instagram sounds like it's coming out of the mouth of a 15 year old that just started smoking weed for the first time but, nonetheless, their pies looked irresistible. Truthfully, I have to say their pizza is amazing, and I lived in NYC and Italy, so it's not like I don't know what I'm talking about. The dough is fluffy, crispy, and light, and the ingredients blend so well together. This is especially true for the square pie. The traditional is run of the mill. BUT, the major problem is that it's way too expensive. I spent $100 on two pies, including 20% gratuity... that's not right. I don't care where the ingredients come from... You import your ingredients? You have the best and most fresh ingredients here locally! If I want a Napolitan style pizza this is the last place I'd go because it's just not worth the money... Your product is great but you need to grow up and run it like a real business. read more

My first review ever! But felt like I had to post because I was shocked by how rude these people are! I walked in to the place and there was NOBODY in the restaurant. The owner asks if it was just me. I said no, and he said you can't order anything or sit anywhere until my party got there. I asked where I was supposed to wait - he pointed to this small couch. His demeanor was so rude and I was so uncomfortable that when my friends got there, we left went around the corner to another restaurant that was welcoming and less expensive. $33 bucks for a cheese pizza and to be treated so poorly. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here. I am a foodie and love trying all the hot spots in Burlington. I will NEVER go back. Oh and by the way, we went back 2 hours later to get our car.... there was one party of 4 at a table and 3 people at the bar. We have been to Pizzeria Ida twice now. The first time we went, they were completely sold out of pizza dough on a Saturday night. The second time we went, they were sold out of all their square pizzas and only had three other pizza options. The pizzas were small and very expensive ($20 for what seems like a medium sized pizza). The sauce is VERY thin and watery and creates a soggy/floppy crust. The salad was $12 and was basically one tomato cut up with feta sprinkled over it (although the tomato was very delicious). The seating is very minimal (seats about 15 guests, several of which are bar seats). The owner seemed arrogant and was bragging about the quality of his pizzas and his ingredients but we honestly were not that impressed. He was also swearing quite a bit. Overall, it was a strange experience and seems over-hyped for what it is. There are other much better pizza options in Burlington. read more
