I love me some Tasty's and have been ordering here since the early 80's What's funny is that I still have their phone number memorized and know it by heart along with my childhood landline number lol It has some pretty crazy core memories for me. Back in like 88 when my parents got divorced I remember it being the first meal eating it on the floor with no furniture in my mom's new house in Fridley. Favorites are the Hawaiian and the Tasty Highlite There was always Chanticlear Pizza right next to Maple lanes in Fridley, and then Tasty's. Tasty's was always my favorite even back then! I still eat here at least once or twice a month and it's definitely in my top five places in the Twin Cities! We also frequent the one up in Pequot Lakes in the summertime when we go up fishing at Leech Lake. We stop on the way and pick up a couple pizzas. read more

How do I not know this place? I go next door to grocery shop all the time and a few blocks away you have the best Korean deli in the cities. Apparently this place has been around forever and it shows in the best way. It is a classic dive bar, but really more of a true neighborhood hangout where you will find lots of locals and possibly people who grew up in the area. No frills, just good vibes. The pizza is surprisingly good here - thin crust and cut into those perfect small squares with crispy edges. The sausage and pepperoni pizzas are absolute standouts. We also tried the buffalo-style pizza. The sauce was a little on the greasy side, but still incredibly flavorful and worth ordering. Do not skip the wings! Honestly, everything we had was just really solid comfort food done right. The place stays busy even on weekdays, which tells you how much the neighborhood loves it. I am not a pizza lover... however I WOULD go back to this place if I had a craving for the 'za. The topping to dough ratio was near perfect. The dough itself (thin crust) was equally crunchy as it was soft... the kind that's durable and won't drop the toppings off. The service was SPEEDY. Our server tended to us often enough to meet our needs and allowed us to enjoy our company. The ambiance is definitely "dive bar"-esque. It's got an old cabin vibe, music and all. I have visited Tasty Pizza - well Hanger 45 (the bar area) - a number of times over the years. This hometown feeling, local driven, pizza joint and bar has all the feels of your typical Midwest eatery. The dining area is somewhat dated and kind of run down but not divey. There is a small patio outside that faces the parking lot which isn't much of a few as they are located in a questionable/less than desirable shopping center. You will also find pulltabs... I know, what a shocker. Service has always been pretty quick and friendly. There is definitely a rapport between the staff and the regulars but it doesn't hinder the attention to an outsider like me. The food is above average, in my opinion. You can expect excellent bar style pizza as well as some of the best meatballs I've ever had, great wings, and a Midwest favorite - made rite sandwiches. All at more than reasonable prices. Like, it's actually STILL in 2024, pretty cheap. This is one of our go-to spots for pizza when we can't decide where to eat. It is very casual, almost a dive, but not quite. A very neighborhood type of place. The pizza is excellent and consistently good, we always order a pizza. The pizza is thin crust, I'm not sure if there are other options because we love the thin crust. Be careful because it is lava hot when delivered to your table. The drinks are nice, generous pours. The price is decent/almost cheap for what you get. The service has always been friendly and pretty attentive and fast. They have sports on several TVs (not really my thing, but the sound is off so it is not bothersome). I can't comment on the other food as the pizza is so good that is all we ever order. They have pull tabs if that is your thing. They have specials some nights, and bingo or meat raffles some nights. They have an area that is mostly bar, and another area that is mostly dining, but the menu and drinks are served the same in both areas. In general - love this place! read more

At first site the restaurant/Dive Bar was very unassuming but once seated & being greeted by the waiter the laid back yet friendly energy & bar vibe similar to cheers made our lunch visit worth it. The service was good & the food came out in a good amount of time. The "Sassy D" what I would consider a meat lovers pizza was enjoyably unique with the addition of Polish sausage as a topping. The "Mentally Unstable" breadstick appetizer was good nothing spectacular but definitely better than some chain restaurants. Would definitely go again for lunch. read more

We've been back with them maybe 10 times and it's high-time to show Tasty some love. The specialty pizza menu is huge. Big enough that I always struggle making a decision because everything is good. There's some unique pizzas on the menu that might surprise you. The Nordeast with sauerkraut is a surprisingly delicious pizza. The taco pizza is a favorite. My neighbor always gets the cheese pizza, which always looks really good. I always see it and say, "next time". The beers on tap offer a good variety and change occasionally. HORRIBLE!! I arrived 1st. (before my sisters) Ordered our water, drinks. 15 minutes later the waitress rudely put our tray of beverages on the table and walked away. (She didn't take our beverages off of the tray) My sister didn't like her glass of wine, thought it was stale. She told her kindly. Another waitress came to take my other sister's empty bottle of beer away and my half shot. A couple seconds later I went to the waitress to let her know that she took my shot. She said that she didn't. She did! She went back to our table and said that she was done with us and another waitress would help us. WHAT?!! I ordered their Thin crust Cheeseburger pizza and I was quite satisfied with the speed of their delivery and with the flavor of it. The thin crust was truly thin which is difficult to do with a loaded pizza like this and still have it have a degree of crispness instead of being soggy. The toppings were favorful and had the sharpness of the pickles that are essential if were are talking cheeseburgers. All in all a good experience. read more

Our party of 6 enjoyed our pizzas here last Friday evening. We sat in the dining room area and were well cared for by our server, Sandy. Pizzas are thin crust and cut in squares as a good pub pizza should be. Our 1/2 Hawaiian, 1/2 Nordeast was delicious. After pizza we walked over to the bar area for a few drinks. This was my first time at this restaurant. My cousins and I were in the area and the menu looked good some American and some Italian. Ambiance: this place reminded me of a old pizza place not in a good way however I did hear them say they are renovating and by the end of the summer they should have all the tables and booths and everything up to date. Service: our waitress was very nice. She had never seen the yelp check in offer (free soda or beer) but took off the soda on the bill. She was attentive and friendly. All the staff seemed nice Food: we got an assortment of things. I got the cheese ravioli with meatless sauce. This was good but not super flavorful I would give it a 2 1/2 out of 5 stars. My cousins split a burger which they said was good but not the best burger ever, would give it a 3/5 stars. And then we had a pepperoni pizza that we all split. We all loved the pizza. We got the thick crust pizza which was a little doughy which we all really like. They would rate the pizza as 4 1/2 I would rate it a 3. For me it was good but the sauce (same as the pasta wasn't very flavorful to me). Overall it wasn't bad but not my favorite place either. If I were to get anything again it would be the pizzas. My family has been ordering from Tasty for about 50years. I usually have nothing but terrific experiences. However, today was a terrible. I order an Italian dip, which has cheese. They insisted that I ordered it without cheese. I looked at my online receipt and it day the opposite! I called to let then know of their error and got a rude young lady saying that it's my error (even though I have proof) and that I basically just have to deal with it. I doubt that I will be coming back anytime soon or recommend them! read more

This place is cool! If you are a history buff this place is for you. The theme is WWII and they did a nice job. It was done just right and not over the top by filling every space on the walls. The bathroom is one of the BEST I have seen! Painted like you are flying in a B17! SWEET!! Service was a little slow but we were there when the doors opened. I ordered the "Jumbo Wings" and they are huge. Worth the cost and the batter fried wings are better than B-Dubs. Size matters! My son ordered a burger and I ordered the signature Tasty High Five pizza. It took a good 20 minutes for the food to arrive but I did see a few heading out the door for delivery. Maybe they didn't have the oven up to temperature? The pizza crust was a bit greasy and soggy but the taste was very good. The toppings were fresh and the cheese was plentiful. The hellfire burger was suppose to be spicy hot but my son rated it a 5 out of 10 on the spicy scale. The French fries were thin and tasted very good. One customer was waiting to. 2 men busy talking where the pizzas came out of oven. One man was preparing pizzas. I stood next to the register for 10 minutes. No one would help me. I could see my pizza was in the warmer box already done. The two guys walked by and ignored me. Finally the guy preparing pizzas came over to helpme. Sometimes just trying to find enough will power to get up and use the bathroom? That's how I was feeling when I ordered this pizza. I was positive I wouldn't be doing jack-diddly until I laid my head down on my pillow to go to sleep for the night. Searched for delivery nearby my house and found this place which I was willing to give a try instead of going with your "fast food" of pizza delivery (no hate to Dominos or Pizza Hut but they have their time and place). Online ordering process was super easy, hardest part (as always) was just trying to find which pizza I wanted to try. They have your standard toppings, Hawaiian, Taco (which I wish I saw more of), their version of the Supreme, and a pizza they call the Nordeaster which features sausage and saurkraut. Whoa. I'm sure you're thinking this is the pizza I went with considering my introduction but nah, I wasn't feeling up to it; maybe another time. What I got instead was their Bacon Cheeseburger pizza. A large one at that. Go big and stay home. The pizza took a bit to be cooked and delivered. Somewhere close to 50 mins when all said and done which is roughly on par with other pizza delivery or food delivery in general. And I can't complain, I got to stay on my couch like I wanted. So, when the pizza finally arrived it was freakin' huge!!!! Like, GIGANTIC. Thin crust and absolutely covered in toppings. My boyfriend and I could only manage to finish maybe half of it without any other sides. We had enough to also feed his brother AND for my bf to take the rest to work the next day. wowowowowow. Now, my only gripe is that after delivery fee, taxes, and tip, this pizza cost me nearly $40 to have delivered. OUCH! While I appreciate how good the bacon cheeseburger pizza was and the sheer size of it, I don't think I can afford to have it delivered to me when I'm feeling abundantly lazy. Would I eat Tasty Pizza again? YES! Would I have it delivered? Nahhhhh.
