    Chicken parm w/spaghetti.
    Raquel A.

We loved Tommy's Place and we're very sad when Covid forced them to close. It was our go-to for birthdays and anniversaries. And it was nearby. A couple weeks ago I read somewhere that Tommy had opened a new place, Tommy's Way, so it was immediately added to our list of places we had to visit. Yesterday was that day! The location is a bit further for us, but the feeling of home is still there. And it's definitely smaller than the Place, but we're from the northeast and it reminds us of the pizza/pasta/sub shops of home. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and grabbed a table to look over the menu. I decided on the eggplant parm with penne and hubby went with chicken parm with spaghetti. He cleared his plate! But I saved enough of mine for lunch today and I have to admit, I think it was even better on day 2. (And I'm not usually a fan of leftovers.) We absolutely will be back. I remember how much I loved Tommy's calzones and of course we have to get pizza. And we want to try the subs too. We also grabbed some cheesecake to take home and have later. I'd say it's right up there with my homemade. Tommy's Way is worth the drive, and lucky for me, I have 2 appointments in the area this month so that gives me a good excuse to stop in again!

The owner Tommy treated us like family!

Love anything family owned and Tommy's Way did not disappoint! I had a calzone with meatball added and it was delicious. I'll be back to try other goodies. Couldn't resist the chocolate cake as it's my birthday week. Great service and wonderful atmosphere.

I've seen a few pizza places come and go from this spot but really enjoyed this one and hope it stays!! Planned to dine in but had a very crabby toddler in the backseat fall asleep so ended up just ordering to go! It was ready on time and easy pick up. I liked how they had balloons outside for their opening! We got a cheese pizza and cheesy garlic bread. You have to order the marinara on the side separately. I also got ranch for my pizza. It was all delicious! Crust was perfectly crisp without being overcooked, yummy cheese and sauce! Good quality stuff and I'd totally come back here!

Birthday celebration at Tommy's Way! Five star service and food. Ordered the antipasto salad and garlic bread as sharable selections. Alfredo Fettuccine Pasta was ordered by two people. One had grilled chicken the other without. Ordered a large cheese pizza and a Ziti Pasta Dish. Plenty of food and take home portions. Finished off the meal with cannoli and one person had the chocolate cake. Prices are super reasonable and the ambiance is what you would expect for a New York Pizza Place! This place is hot and new!

Kind of hidden in small shopping area. But worth seeking out. Service was excellent. Had pepperoni slices which were very tasty! Will definitely come back to try other items.

Beyond bad! $35 for the worst Chicken Parm and Meatball Sub I've ever had in my entire life. The previous owners had the best Chicken Parm I've ever had and I was hoping for the same. Very little chicken, soggy bread and would you look at the cheese?! The meatballs tasted mushy, soggy bread and again with the cheese. Never again... To say I was disappointed is an understatement. To be fair the pizza looked good and if I'm in the area I may try it. Let's see how long this place stays in business.

First time trying this new pizza spot. Just opened up 2 months ago. Walked in at 5:15pm on a Saturday. Restaurant was empty. 2 friendly people greeted me behind the counter. I ordered an 18" pepperoni to-go. Made some small talk with the staff, sounds like the business is doing well. Used the restroom, was nice and clean. Pizza was ready in 18 minutes. A few tables had filled up by the time I left. Large tv on the wall playing World Cup soccer games. Chatted a bit more with staff, currently no plans for online ordering but "just call and place your order, it will be ready in 15-20 minutes". They even opened the pizza box to show me and make sure I was happy when it was ready. It looked great. Several staff members said 'goodbye' and 'comeback soon' as I was leaving, which made me feel like I was appreciated. It's a nice mom and pop operation, that they were all proud of. And they should be, because the pizza was fantastic! The pepperoni is excellent, not too salty, doesn't have a gamey funky flavor, it's a tad greasy, not too bad though, it's pepperoni after all. The sauce is really good, not overpowering but gives a great flavor, nice texture and tomato kick. The crust was cooked to absolute perfection. Chewy with a slight crunch underneath. Reminds me of real NY pizza slices. I think I found my new pizza spot. So many over-priced, over-hyped pizza places in this part of town, but this was by far the best I've had in this area. My total came to $27ish. I would highly recommend giving this new pizza joint a shot and I really hope they succeed. Nice people, clean restaurant, and excellent pizza.

Absolutely awesome pizza! Just opened and I'm blown away. NJ native and this is my new favorite spot.

    Cheese slice and Sicilian slice
    Adam B.

Well, well, well pizza lovers. There is a new contender in the slices game in town and tommy is going to fit in nicely. First off, the atmosphere is very nice. Way better looking than the last spot. The girl at the register was very nice and helpful. The pizza was very good. I tried a cheese slice and a Sicilian cheese slice. The cheese slice was super solid, nice chew to the crust, a nice bit of crunch and the sauce was very flavorful. This recipe was definitely written by a New Yorker. The Sicilian slice was the 2nd best i have had in the valley. So light and airy with a nice crunchy crust and i love the sauce on top. Unfortunately it was cold. That's why i gave 4 star rating but it's really a 4.5. This place is highly recommended. If the pizza was that good (not knowing how long it was out) fresh has got to be top notch.!!!! A lot of other options to choose from, pasta, chicken Parmesan and so on. I work right around the corner and these people are probably going to know me by name! Benvenuto nel quartiere, è stato fantastico!!!!

Stopped in for a slice, closest I've had to a NYC slice outside of NYC! Excellent. Looking forward to getting a whole pie for the family

"Eat Like Italiano at Marcellino"…read more Marcellino Ristorante in Scottsdale is one of those places that's clearly popular for a reason. There was a long wait when we arrived but the staff made it pleasant by bringing out free bruschetta while we waited, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is very Italian--warm, charming, and inviting. They also have outdoor seating, which adds to the whole experience. There was live music that night, and it really set the mood without being overwhelming. I tried two of their non-alcoholic drinks: the rosemary mint lemonade and the hibiscus mango--both refreshing and thoughtfully made. My husband went with a lager beer, which paired well with the food. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted to try their homemade pasta, and once we heard they have squid ink pasta, my husband didn't hesitate. We ordered it, and wow--it was amazing. The pasta was deeply flavorful, loaded with seafood, and served with lobster meat on the side, which took it to another level. We also ordered the Filetto di Malale--pork tenderloin sautéed with tender asparagus and green peppercorns, finished with a bourbon flambé. It was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. For dessert, we had the flaming panna cotta, which was both fun to watch and deliciously sweet. We were also happy to meet the owner-chef, Marcellino Verzino, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this place is absolutely worth visiting if you're looking for authentic Italian dishes here in Arizona. Definitely a spot we would return to.

We made a reservation ahead of time and had a table ready for us on the outdoor patio. We went on a Friday and could instantly tell this place is legit. The ambiance isn't modern it's more home-style but honestly, who cares when the food is this good? The service was excellent and incredibly fast. We were on a bit of a time crunch, and they helped us wrap everything up right on schedule. For drinks, I ordered a Cosmo and oh my one of the best cocktails I've had. The flavor was perfectly balanced and so smooth. For appetizers, we tried Emma's dumplings, beet salad, Brussels sprouts, and burrata. They started us off with house-made bread and homemade butter, I could eat that all day. So good! We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing vegetarian options. The Brussels sprouts, beet salad, and Emma's dumplings were definite winners each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. For mains, we ordered the penne vodka. I had high expectations, and while it was good, it was more on the average side compared to everything else. And finally the butter cake for dessert absolutely knocked it out of the park. You could literally taste the butter in every bite, Unreal. Pricing is very reasonable, and overall the service and food were beyond exceptional. We'll definitely be back!

It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL!
