    House salad, garlic bread, wines

We randomly showed up at Uncle Sal's for dinner without a reservation, but the nice hostess was able to find us a small, perfect tabletop at the bar. The bar server was more than happy to take our orders and give us recommendations. She was very attentive and welcoming. The restaurant vibe was definitely old school Italian and the lighting was dim. We chose two house salads, butter & garlic bread, shrimp scampi, chicken Marsala and two wines. The house salads were nothing special really, a basic salad with dressing. My shrimp scampi was good, def better than ok, but not the best I have had and the shrimp were overcooked. My bf enjoyed his Chicken Marsala. The wines were delicious!! Not photoed, and for sure the shinning star in my mind, was the Tiramisu!! We ordered dessert to go because we were full and I didn't get a photo of it, but WOW, it blew us away!!! If you decide to dine here, get some!! 10/10 recommend, even two days later it was yummy!!! I'd love to stop by here and get one to go sometime!!

From start to finish- we had an incredible experience! This is a local gem in south Scottsdale and there's a reason why this spot has been open since 1988! Every item we tasted was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned and authentic! The food is made with quality ingredients and love. It's home style food with large portions and that old school Italian touch. 10/10 recommend. We will be back over and over again!

Nice food but staff is the star of the show here!

Sal's has very nice Italian choices, ranging from classic pasta to more traditional Italian plates. Everything was solid and the wine list was nice, but staff is the star of the show here! Our server was deeply knowledgeable about the wine list, which dishes had which allergens, and what paired well with what. On top of that they were just very kind and attentive, making our dinner feel like a special occasion rather than just a night out. Thank you Uncle Sal's!

Hands down one of the best Italian restaurants I've even been to. Everything is quality with bold flavors you expect from Italian food. Cool dim atmosphere giving it that old timey feel with service staff that is attentive and knows what they're doing. My father who is Italian and always looking for a good vile parm was absolutely in love with the veal here. Good thing we're from out of town or we'd have to take him here weekly. The tiramisu is one of the best I've ever had. Absolutely loved it. I had the chicken milanese and it was seriously delicious. Christy and lemony and just chef's kiss. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Scottsdale

I've been coming here a few years. Great parking and handicap spots close. Service is always top notch. I had the cream of mushroom soup. Eggplant parm with meat sauce and that delicious garlic bread. I also love the shot rib here with pasta.

The portions were of great size, and the service was friendly. It reminded me of an Italian staple in Niagara Falls I am from, wooden walls. Hearing your friends is hard with the noise and acoustics.

It might not be New York City, but that doesn't stop Uncle Sal's from delivering some of the best Italian cuisine west of the Mississippi! The eggplant parmigiana with angel hair that I had was excellent. The eggplant cooked exactly the way it should be - tender and tasty. The service was great and the ambiance was too. I'll surely be visiting Uncle Sal's Italian Restaurant again the next time I'm in town. I highly recommend Uncle Sal's Italian Restaurant! This review is my opinion about this business and you might find that your experience differs from mine. With that said, I highly recommend this business and highly recommend that people visit this business.

Let's start by saying this was a last minute find, we were in the area and saw it and decided to try it. I will start by saying I love the bar area, was shut in and intimate but still lots of room. The bartender was awesome and gave some great recommendations. They food was amazing and blew me away, portion size was great. Love that meals come with salads and garlic bread. Now the chicken Saltimbocca was so tasty. And the chicken Mario was just as amazing. Also they serve great size wines

Had a reservation, waited a minute for a table, was inside this time. Ooof food was phenomenal, so good, wine was perfecto! Service was excellent, and it was for my buddy from NY's birthday so even better! Thanks Andrea !

It has an incredibly strong live music program, with music at least once a day and twice on weekends during the summer, and twice daily during high tourist season. I've found that people--regulars and visitors--are friendly and easy to talk to. OTT is closing in this location and will be reopening in the old Back Door space directly behind it. Our drinks were made quickly, but ordering them was a little trickier. They didn't have many people working (2? 3?) so it was easier to order at the bar then flag down a server. With it being a small space, it was would've been nice to order from a server. We had the prickly pear margaritas and the house margarita. While they tasted good, I'm not sure how authentic they were. But they were served icy cold, so can't complain too much! They were also a decent price. We also had their red pork and green pork tamales. The red was my favorite, with a hint of spice and flavorful pork. The green one was good too. We also had their nachos, which were pretty classic and appreciated by the group! Food came out in about 20-30 minutes. Prices were reasonable too. The best was the live music-- It's free! Lots of country classics. I would arriving around 1/1:15 pm, finding a seat, getting a drink and ordering food, and listening to the well-played tunes. It only has 1 small TV, so I'd go somewhere else if you're looking for a bar/pub to watch sports. Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. There's literally something for everyone, and definitely check out the Frybread Lounge for some great Native American fusion cuisine Chee

I Ubered but like most of Old Town Scottsdale, there's plenty of free street parking. You may need to circle around during peak hours, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (3/5): Pour Decisions is an open air bar, and a pretty expansive one at that. Beyond the open-air area, there's also a spacious patio and a rooftop. I love a good rooftop. With it being Phoenix, when the weather cooperates of course. The aesthetic of the bar was too "Instagram culture" for me with neon witty quotes and such, but some people are into that. Service (2.5/5): It took us about 10 minutes for the bartender to greet us while we were sitting at the bar. It got to the point where we were wondering if anyone was working. Luckily, after a slow start, service was pretty decent after that. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet on this visit. Drinks (3/5): The menu matches the vibe. The cocktail list has some pretty fun options, but of the overly sweet variety that lacks sophistication. I couldn't help but order a cocktail that was served in a cowboy boot-shaped glass with a popsicle in it. Fun for the novelty of it but it was a mediocre drink. While I am being a little critical, Pour Decisions has its purpose. If you're looking for a spot to hang out in a big group, Pour Decisions is solid given how large of a space it is.
