Very good for BBQ beef, chicken, fries and onion rings. Entertainment is hit or miss. The bartenders are not the most attentive. Sat there for 5 minutes before they took our order and it wasn't that busy. Had to keep flagging her down every time we wanted a drink. So it was clean and the food was good, but just that does not cut it for me. The atmosphere is loud. They have loud music (piped in, not live), the seatting feels secondary to the bar, we when there for about 6pm, we were seated quickly (no wait), but the service went down hill from there. The server seemed like she was new (not trained), I got the feeling we were not customers but "in the way". She sought food orders too soon, the drink orders were delivered longer than expected. the food was very delayed, one item was given to us in error (we had to address it with her). She was not familiar with much and what she did share was not accurate. PJs is a good place to catch a good burger and a beer on you way through. read more

my husband and i had an excellent late lunch here a few weeks ago. we ate at the bar, which around 2pm on a saturday was about half full. since it was our first time, we wanted to go with some classic favorites, and see how they measured. everything we ate was completely excellent. we started with teriyaki wings. the wings are a real show stopper- they're big, meaty, hot and crisp. they were perfectly fried and sauced. we were quite hungry and devoured them. while the special of the summer salad, which a fellow patron already had, looked quite good, i went with one of my standards, a cobb. i chose the honey mustard dressing to go with. it was phenomenal. their salads are huge, and i couldn't finish it all. the chicken was clearly cooked to order, and everything was arranged nicely. i could have done with more avocado, but otherwise each ingredient was nicely represented. the dressing appeared to be homemade, and had a good zip to it. my husband ordered the crispy chicken wrap with a side of rice pilaf. he ate up every bit of it, and was very happy. when our bill arrived, i was curious to see what it was. we're notorious for ordering too much food, and taking home leftovers, but that day we didn't, so i was expecting to see, i don't know, 40 or 45 bucks. we were closer to 50. and then i realized why- we had each had two servings of our chosen soft drink (seltzer for me, iced tea for him), and were charged each time. so our tab was basically an extra $5 than i would have expected at any other restaurant. the others around us were all drinking alcohol, and when you think about the typical restaurant upcharge on alcohol (usually north of 200%), i was a little taken aback at charging for each individual soft drink. we will certainly be back because of the food, but i find their practice of charging for each soft drink curious. read more

As a pescetarian (the only animals I eat come from the ocean), going to a sports pub can be challenging, but I was pleasantly surprised by PJ's menu. There are several options that don't include steak or chicken wings. :) I have been in several times and have had their eggplant parmesan, veggie wrap, shrimp mac and cheese (a special) and baked haddock. All were great, especially the baked haddock which has a fabulous cracker crumb topping and was cooked perfectly. Their appetizers include non-meat options that will fill you up if you aren't careful...the nachos are huge and the buffalo tater (tots) could be a meal in themselves. ;-) As far as beers, my husband and I are "beer snobs" so we were happy to see more than Bud and Coors on tap. We love the Honker IPA but wish they would bring in Harpoon IPA too. They also have a pretty good selection of bottles and the owners are open to suggestions for new beers. The combination of good food/beer, friendly waitstaff and their new "PJ's Point" card will keep me coming back as a regular! read more

I don't know where Tot Chos (tater tot nachos) have been my entire life, but I'm glad I found them here. Absolutely delicious and precisely what you think it is - in all the best ways. Beer was cold, food was hot and came out quick. I had the firecracker burger which had the right amount of spice and was cooked medium, just as requested. My dining partner had a HUGE glass of sangria which was, "good, but probably bottled" and a steak salad which was equally as large. Taking off 1 star because of the building itself. It was incredibly cold - nearly everyone had a coat on. And because of the lack of floor to ceiling walls, smoke escaped from the kitchen and wandered into the dining area. Food is good despite the fact you can get the same stuff elsewhere , beer selection small but no big deal , very loud when busy and service , relatively, slow . My worst complaint was that my Uncle joined us for dinner , he's 80 yo and doesn't eat much so he wanted to order off the kid's menu and was, rudely, told no . Wtf is up with that ? So he sat and ate nothing and picked off our plates , which was fine but then refuse someone wanting something to eat is disgraceful!!! I've read a few of these reviews and noticed a pattern of "abuse" by owner ,this makes me want to go back even more and complain and then tell the owner to go fuck himself !!! Seems like a very nice place. Sadly our experience there was dampened by the drunk obnoxious people. Sunday evening around 6pm was sat on the nice patio. Beautiful night to enjoy some food and cocktails. Would of been if not for the loud group in the corner playing bocci in the parking lot. Felt like we were in their back yard as opposed to a public restaurant. Ended up having to move to a table inside. Kind of hard to enjoy yourself when your listening to a bunch of middle aged men burp and swear loudly up a storm directly next to you. Hostess and server were more then apologetic. Even said we weren't the first table they had annoyed. Maybe perhaps this is when management should have stepped in....... Service was wonderful as was the meal. Just wished we could have enjoyed being outside. read more

Wifey went out with a girlfriend for dinner so I figured I'd try PJ's to test the waters. Pretty much your typical sports bar/tavern with lots of TV's and sports memorabilia. If you are sitting at the bar, you have to strain your neck to see the TV's over the bar. The beer selection here is less than average. Only five beers on tap with mostly only one or two "craft beers". Bottled beer selection is also minimal. This is one of the places PJ's misses the boat. They need to expand their beer selection. The menu is the same menu you get in any sports bar: Steak Tips, Wings, Chicken Fingers, Burgers etc. I had the steak tips and they were cooked as I requested and were very good. Can't complain about the food quality. But if you want repeat customers, you have to offer variety, different from your competition. The menu is similar to all of the other taverns in the area (Alumni, Medway Cafe, Union St Grill, Cole's Tavern etc.). Only two seafood offerings - Fish and Chips and Shrimp Scampi. If you have an urge for a cold Bud draft and some pub grub, this is the place to be. Wouldn't it be nice someday if a restaurant opened in the Franklin area that wasn't the same as every other restaurant? We've been waiting twenty years..... read more

Burgers were ok they tasted bland but were juicy so the buns that were untoasted were soaked. I got my order to go and the waitress didn't grab my order sitting in my to go bag for 12 minutes (I saw it sitting there and looked at my phone) and asked her to grab it, and she would go back and forth from each table to talking to her friends behind the counter to a table and ignoring me I finally asked her a third time to grab my bag. She did and didn't even apologize and just seemed frustrated even though she wasn't even grabbing any tables drinks or anything just talking with friends and asking tables how they were doing. Manager should be observing how their staff are attending all paying customers! First and last time I went there. My mom went their recently and said the same about how they didn't use any type of salt and pepper on their burgers and was bland and that the bun was soaked and that the waitress was all over the place because she seemed preoccupied talking to other waitresses behind the counter. It's a Nice little bar slash pub that can get pretty busy and loud at times. The food is good for pub food and menu has a decent amount to choose from. The staff is Nice and friendly and will joke with you as Well. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food u get. Parking can be a little tough when they are busy. They do have a small patio which is OK. Age range can fluctuate from collage age since Dean is just down the road. To early thirties to mid 50. Over a good decent place to go for drinks or food. My husband and I just ate there tonight. We popped in around 5:45. Place wasn't too crowded but the bar was pretty full. They have some booth-like tables along one wall of windows and then the rest are high tops. There is also outdoor seating, but you are in a parking lot along rt. 140, so not ideal. The hostess sat us at a high top which was fine with me. Our waitress, Chelsea, came over soon after and asked what we would like for drinks. She was super helpful and friendly. My husband ordered the Sam summer (not a ton of beers on tap), and I thought I would try the red sangria. Both drinks came out quickly and the sangria glass was huge. It was delicious and definitely had a kick. I ordered the white sangria later on which was just as delicious. Well worth the $7. We weren't overly hungry so we didn't know if we should do apps or get meals. We decided on trying the buffalo taters and the chicken wings with half garlic parm and the other half with spicy orange. Both came out fairly quickly and were huge portions. We realized soon after, this would be all for food. The tater tots were just the right amount of spice, blue cheese, and jalapeños. We enjoyed them, but I don't know that I loved them enough to get them again. Fun to try though! The wings were cooked perfectly (and I'm not a huge wing fan). They were crispy and hot. The only disappointing thing were the actual flavors. The spicy orange definitely were not spicy and just had a little sweetness to them. The garlic parm were better but mostly just salty tasting and not very garlicky. My husband felt they could do with some flour on them before they put the sauce/seasoning so that it sticks better. We ate them all though! Atmosphere was bright but a little loud like others mentioned. We didn't have a hard time hearing one another though. All in all, we will definitely be back. I love PJs. It is my favorite local restaurant, despite being a pub. The food is excellent. The menu has the reliable burger section, but their entrees and sandwiches are excellent. They have a delicious California Chicken Club, that I get just about every time. They do not have that local pub feel, which is a relief, especially in this area. They also have a pleasant atmosphere and the waitresses and bartenders are friendly. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone in the area. read more

Have been going to PJs for a few years now, still usually a great experience. Service can be a bit slow when it gets busy, and it is definitely a sports bar- don't expect a relaxing family meal during a Bruins or Patriots game, but the food is consistently very good, and the beer selection is decent. The macaroni and cheese dinners are huge and always flavorful, whether just grilled chicken or the extra spicy Blackened chicken and Jalapeno. Steak tips and burgers are also excellent, and my wife loves the seasonal salad specials, usually with giant cornbread or pumpkin croutons. Tater tot-chos (also with jalapenos) and buffalo dip are both great shareable sides, but the buffalo wings are excellent. For a while they had over a dozen flavors, but I guess we were the only ones ordering the Inferno or Ghost wings, so they they cut it down to about 8 varieties, the Mango Habanero and Hot Buffalo being the spiciest. PJ's is a great, local bar... with awesome food! We have had sandwiches, entrees, and appetizers and everything has always been great. The gorgonzola steak tips are some of the best I have ever had and the Bostonian pastrami sandwich is incredible. Great to finally have a good place to go in Bellingham! read more

Pretty solid! We've been here a couple of times and the food has been pretty consistent. We've ordered differently each time and haven't been disappointed. The staff is nice. We went over, then got offered a high-top, which is fine since we were just two. A family of four got sat after us. We were sharing the same server. He took our drink order and never came back. In the meantime, the other party got their drinks, their orders taken, and our drinks weren't even at the bar. The server ignored us again when he walked by, and after 25 minutes of wait, we had no drinks and no attention. Tired of being ignored, we just left. Is the food good? TOTS!!!! Stopped in here with mom for an early dinner/late lunch. We both were very happy. We split a honey bbq chicken tender appetizer. I will say I did not expect the sauce to be mustard based but it was delicious. Had a nice kick to it. Reminded me of the South Carolina sauce I've had at Bison County in Waltham. Very, Very good. For my meal I had the Rachael with Tater Tots. It was a good portion and very tasty. Mom had the Gorgonzola burger and could not have been happier. Glad we stopped in and we will be back. read more

PJ's is hands down my favorite place to grab some wings and beer. Their wings are meaty and they have a pretty great selection of sauces, my personal favorite is the garlic buffalo. Decent selection of draft and bottles for a local bar. 35 cent wings on Sundays and Mondays during the football season which is a great deal. TVs everywhere and they've always got some kind of sports on, even if it's just the Golf Channel or something. It's a little loud and some of the tables are not great (during the winter the one next to the door is like sitting outside) but the food overall is well above average, the beer is cold and fresh, and Bellingham needed a really good sports bar. read more

Went there recently was ignore by the employees at the front, they were to busy talking, they knew we were there, after being seated we were greater by a waitress, ordered drinks and told a Our waitress we were not ordering dinner just some wings. We ordered 2 different wings. She came back and checked in with us and one of our group asked if she ordered us large and she said no and she would fix it. So we got half orders of the 2 wings we ordered, Not we we wanted, however it worked out to our favor because it worked out in our favor because the wings were over cooked and dry!!!! read more

Rude management! I've worked in the restaurant business for greater than 15 years, I'm patient and understanding and never looking for a handout. When I send back a turkey burger that is not cooked through and the manager comes over to "apologize"-I'm not expecting them to argue with me that it is cooked and I am wrong-and I certainly don't expect them to continue to argue with me (3 times I was told I was wrong). Then she rolls her eyes at us, calls us crazy and lunatics, supposedly this was the owner-this is why 1 in 2 restaurants don't make it more than a year. Too bad because the apps were good and our server was great. I won't be back and I urge others to support other non-corporate restaurants in the area! read more

I just started coming here about a couple months ago and I have to say the food here is absolutely amazing. My first I tried the buffalo chicken dip and I am by far hooked on it so now I get it every time. For entrees I've been trying new things so every visit is different. The latest I tried the pilgrim wrap which it consisted of turkey stuffing and cranberry aoilo and it is by far my favorite!! It literally puts me in a food coma. The wrap is at a perfect temperature where it is not soggy with the stuffing in it. The sage stuffing is great and I'm not a fan of cranberries, don't really like it, but it added a touch of sweetness and it was really good. About the atmosphere, what do you expect, it's a sports bar so yes it will be loud but it's definitely a place where your able to bring your kids and enjoy a sports game with an adult beverage and have a fun family night! read more

The second time, we were seated, waited 15 minutes, and never saw a server, so we just left. This place is also INFESTED with flies, it's disgusting. Excellent Food. This place opened only last week and while they are working some kinks out of the new operation, the food is not a problem. I have been in twice and have sampled a few dishes with other people, nothing was lacking. The burgers were fresh and we got tater tots as a side. Also sampled that evening was the marinated steak tips, very flavorful, charbroiled and topped with caramelized onion, sauteed mushroom and Gorgonzola cheese. The steak tips were served with a side of mashed potatoes and baby Brussels sprout sauteed with garlic and bacon, cooked absolutely perfect. My second outing to this new restaurant was on Sunday, wing night. Thirty-five cent wings that come in six flavors, I had to try them all. My favorite was the Spicy Orange followed by the Cajun, Bourbon BBQ & Garlic Parmesan. The Honey BBQ was mostly honey and my least favorite was the Buffalo. I believe all the sauces are homemade, it should be noted that the Cajun & Garlic Parmesan are not sauced but rather Dry Rubbed. The beer on draught was clean, crisp and ice cold. The staff very friendly and eager to please. All in all a pleasant dining experience. My next venture to this establishment will be to try the Rib Eye Steak and hopefully the salad dressings will be homemade. read more

The only reason I can't give 5 stars is that their credit card machines were down this weekend, so our group of 8 had to configure paying our tab in cash which caught us off guard. So incredibly rude. I used to go to PJ's all the time. We were playing "Trap Queen" on the juke box, which I paid for, and the owner from the kitchen turns it off. Then he proceeds to turn off 3 other songs we choose (all clean versions). Then he says something to me about going outside (to fight?). I was reimbursed after asking the manager but there was such a better way to handle the situation. I will never be back. read more
