I gave this place 5 stars because it works for my family of six. If we lived here, we would be regulars. For $25 we got a medium pizza, breadsticks, a small calzone (not small at all), stuffed meat slice, and a pitcher of soda. We ate about half of the food. Place looks like an authentic pizza place and I didn't expect any less from the flavor. The meatball calzone I ordered was a medium and it was bigger than my forearm. The flavor was just as big. The calzone had just a little too much ricotta but aside from that the crust was perfect and perfectly seasoned with the garlic sauce. Also ordered the PJ's bread and it was delicious. I'm not much for dipping bread with seasoned oil but it's made a change in me for the better. Loved every piece of it and the marinara sauce was the best compliment to the calzone and bread. So cheese was good but needed a little more flavor but aside from that it was great. read more

My wife and I ordered a large cheese Sicilian pizza to take home. I've spent a minute or two in the pizza industry and know that most of taste comes from the quality of the dough in pizza. Sadly, a five dollar "hot and ready" has more flavor than this pie. I found myself lurking through my fridge for sauce (spaghetti sauce would've helped) and then to the spice cabinet to add flavor. I get that Florida is NOT known for pizza, but there is no excuse for a pie that is all dough, hardly any sauce, and zero flavor other than day old bread (very dry). I don't like to compare, but when we talk about pizza in order to get it right you have to be almost perfect. Everyone talks about New York pizza... I lived in New York for 6 years and was afraid that would not find that perfect pizza. Well, I was wrong PJ's came through for me :-), their pizza is just right if not more... As I was taking care of my grandmother, we were looking for a place to order from, as her preferred location was not open. Ordered a pizza and garlic knots. The pizza was about on par with a chain restaurant (stiff crust, rubbery texture, etc) and the garlic knots was only bread, Parmesan cheese and no garlic. It was all edible but not enjoyable. Overall a disappointment and we will not be a returning customer. Let me just say since I've been working in Spring Hill which is almost 2 years now, we have been ordering from here 1-2 times a week. Never had an issue until today. One of the ladies in our office ordered a salad without olives. She's highly allergic to olives. So it's a given she would know to order with out olives. When her salad arrived here was olives all over the salad. She called the company and was yelled at not only by the person answering the phone but the owner. Hmmm the owner informed us that we tip lousy. Really on a given day when we order we usually have no less than four separate orders, figure 10 dollars per order we tip 1-2 dollars per order!! That is 15% for delivering right down the road!!! Literally not even 3 minutes. They just lost customers!! The owner even told the lady that called he will not credit her fucking card. This is the worst pizza I have ever had. It is so bad that I went out of my way to make a yelp account just to warn other people about the disaster of a pizza I just consumed. First, we ordered a Veggie Pizza and asked it be made with White Sauce. They agreed. They made it pike light red sauce however. Waiting until we called to complain to state they don't even have white sauce. You would think they would have mentioned that on the phone the first time. Second the pizza is supposed to have broccoli on it. It does. But it is moat definitely not fresh. It looks like they bought a frozen steamer bag and chopped it up. Stems and all. The pizza is so soggy it is inedible. It falls apart. Third it has tomatoes all over it even though it states no where on the menu that it has tomatoes on it. We even asked what was on it first to confirm tomatoes were not a listed ingredient. Fourth the pizza was cold and half the toppings were stuck to the roof of the box when it arrived. I wont be ordering here ever again. It was awful. read more

The service was all done outside, carefully. We watched, from our car, as the man cleaned and cleaned. He changed his gloves twice. We didn't wait long until our Large delicious "special" pizza was brought out to us with our large tossed salad to take home. Wow! There was just about everything in the salad! Very delicious! Our village social committee was hunting around for an establishment to furnish the food for our Italian themed gathering. Our committee of 3 converged on them for lunch and found the end of our search. As to the gathering itself, PJs surpassed all of our expectations in price and quality. The Sausage and Peppers, the Pasta in red sauce, The Baked Ziti, the Meatballs and the garlic knots, all lip-smacking good. The food was delivered promptly at the appointed time and out of the oven hot. Everyone who had the meatballs exclaimed them to be just like homemade, meaty and delicious. I'm giving it 2 stars because I did eat it. The pizza is no longer the way momma used to make and run it. Quality and flavor have significantly dropped. We've been eating here for years, until now. All done. The crust is hard and flavorless. The toppings have decreased in amount given and quality control was not there since it looked like my pizza was poured onto the crust in the box. Seems as though there online ordering system was down, and I could not finalize order. I called in my order to have delivered. Small pepperoni calzone with lite mozzarella and extra ricotta w/ large side of sauce. Same order that I have made hundreds of times since the opening of this place. Had it delivered. After eating half of it I noticed no pepperoni and hardly any mozzarella cheese. Thier prices have gone up exorbitantly, no free delivery, and I was upset I did not get what I ordered. After calling in to let them know I did not get what I ordered. They insisted that I made the mistake because the computer did not say pepperoni. I told her exactly what I ordered verbatim, and she insisted that's not what the computer says. I asked for refund, and she said you got what you ordered. I said I just want what I ordered, and manager insisted that I already got what I ordered. I asked if she understood the concept of the customer of always being right and she said that is wrong, the customer is not always right. Hell of a way to maintain customer satisfaction and remedy the situation. If I was owner, I would fire so called manager or retrain them. All I wanted was an apology for getting order wrong and making it right by offering to remake order. After almost 20 years of patronizing this business, I will never order from them again. We moved into the area about a year ago and came across PJs while searching here on yelp and boy are we glad we did!! Mon, Tues they have 7.99 16inch carry out. Their prices are very resonable for the quality of food your getting with big portions too!! They have everyday lunch specials which are well worth the 5.35 chips and drink included with the meal. It seems to me that pizza reviews are hard to judge because tastes vary so much. The 3 star rating is my personal pizza opinion but I'll try to describe it in objective terms. I ordered a "the meaty one" pizza. Crust - I'd call it 'hand tossed'. Nicely baked. (I prefer a thinner NY style foldable crust) Sauce - Undetectable until I pulled the toppings off a slice. (I prefer more sauce) Cheese - Fair amount. (More would be welcomed) Toppings - Wow! It was loaded with meat! Unfortunately none had much flavor. (I prefer distinct pepperoni and sausage flavors) Value - $13 for a medium. A fair price. It's not for me but if you're looking for a pizza loaded with toppings that will fill you up, welcome home.
