When it comes to breakfast burritos, this place sets the standard. Whenever I'm back in my hometown of Brea, I always stop by PKs for a breakfast burrito with sausage. You have the option of ordering it with bacon or ham as well, and if you're bold, you can order it with all three meats. Be sure to grab a few stacks of their hot sauce as it totally enhances the breakfast burrito experience. I myself go through about 4-5 ramekins of hot sauce per burrito. This place has a lot of different things. It's like breakfast food meets, American diner, meets mexican food. I came here to lunch with a co-worker. We both had a burger and I also ordered the chili cheese fries. The burger was great. It had their thousand island sauce and was very juicy. The chili cheese fries was excellent. It really hit the spot when you're hungry. The price was also very reasonable. The place is owned by an older korean couple. Aw they're so nice there and the food seems pretty good. I walked in for the first time and had been eying the avocado cheeseburger but wondered what a taco burger was. So I asked the woman at the counter and she told me it was like a sloppy joe. I said "oh...could I have the avocado cheeseburger?" I think she misheard me though because she said "um......yeah! yeah--you can try some!" and she took one of those little round plastic containers that you put salsa/condiments in and scooped in some taco meat, lettuce and tomato. So I tried it and it was ok, but what I really wanted was a burger so I went up to the guy at the counter (woman was talking to someone else) and ordered the avocado cheeseburger. He said "oh it's spicy huh?" referring to the taco burger sample and I said "yeah a little bit, but it's good." I think he might have misheard/misunderstood me too because from his reaction, I think that he was trying to ask if it was too spicy...I hope I didn't offend him because it really wasn't bad! Well the cheeseburger I ate back at work. It was pretty good but I thought it was a bit pricey considering the beef patty is not very big. everytime i've gone here, i've never been let down at all. the service and food are top notch. philly cheese is probably the best around, my personal opinion is that PK is better than philly's best if you think philly's best is good. their fried zucchini is great, doesnt get soggy and has the perfect bite every single time. no other place do i know lets their customers go behind the counter to fill up their own drinks. this establishment should be on everyones' to do list when they ever drive through brea/yorba linda/placentia or just when you have a craving for a real good philly cheese steak. read more

Nice little mom and pop. The woman at the counter is hilarious and very friendly. My kids had burgers and fries, which looked decent and the kids really liked. I had a grilled chicken and avocado sandwich which was very good. Looks like they cater to the local high school crowd and they do it well. I can't get enough of this place. I'm so happy a friend took me here 15 years ago. Their menu is huge and EVERYTHING tastes great. The food is nothing out of the ordinary but that's okay because neither is Carl's Jr, McDonalds, Burger King, etc.. The owners are extremely nice and hospitable. They walk around periodically and make sure everything is good even bringing free onion rings or fries once in a while. I've been coming to PK for a very long time now, back when Gateway stores were still around lol (because i worked there). I always get the Philly Cheesesteak, which is amazing (and top it with Ranch which is really good there too). Today I had their breakfast burrito...it was good, but i've had better! Been here a few days ago, but they weren't open, so had to come back at another time. I got their steak sandwiches for 2go and was pleasantly surprised. One, I actually ordered the wrong thing. I was looking at the yelp pictures and was suppose to order the philly cheese steak sub, not the steak sandwhich, but nonetheless the steak sandwiches turns out to be pretty awesome! The meat was flavorful and the mayonnaise spread compliments the sandwich pretty well. And this is coming from a guy that usually doesn't like mayonnaise! The sandwich, to me, had a very good balance in taste- i really like and recommend it. . the outside of this place doesn't look very impressive. But i was rather impressed how the inside of the place, although a bit old, was pretty clean! They also kept the restaurant really cool with the portable AC, located beside the counter, in fact if your standing at the counter-it was REALLY cold! So even if you dine-in and sit way in the back, you shouldn't be feeling hot- since the AC was running pretty cold. Its rather unusual they turned the AC so high, since the time i came was an odd hr...i came around like 4:30pm or so?... when there's like nobody inside. I was expecting stores to maybe cut corners and not turn the AC on when its like down-time or ghost hours for them (to save some electricity), when there's no customers, or at least not turn the AC up on so high. Well, good for them, they impressed me with the clean and cool environment. . well, i sure will be back again and see if their Philly cheese-steak sub is any good. Oh, service that day, was not bad. The owners of this place are so nice. They allowed my 3 old to use the restroom. The female owner even gave my daughter a whole container full of fruit, for free. The male owner let me serve my own drinks behind the counter. My initial thought was "wuuuuuuaaaat?" So cool. On to food. The food taste good and the portion sizes are decent for the price. $16 for a burrito, cheeseburger special, and grilled sandwhich. :) sweet. I heard the chili cheese fries here were bomb, so I ordered that and a cheeseburger. Eehhhh mediocre at best. The Hat is better. Not bad but not really that good either. The only reason for the 3 star review is that when I made my purchase the gal taking the order did not know how to properly use the card machine and had me swipe my card 8 times. Yes 8 times and 2 separate transactions to pay for 25 dollars worth of food. Went to Pk's this am for a burger. The bun was so hard. I saw the cashier and the cook both feel the burger (speak in a different language) then stuff the burger in the bag and hand it to me. I'm thinking one of them was with me and said the bun was so damn hard. It was not good. I've been going to this place for 18+ years. The owners had a wonderful empire going. This is a pretty decent generic burger place. The burger was well made and satisfying if basic and unremarkable. Fries are better than they look. The owner (I think he was the owner) was very friendly. The place is kind of old and divey but it's clean and well maintained (inside, anyway.
