I wasn't particularily hungry so I attempted to keep it simple, simple as 3 shrimp street tacos (grilled). Drink order was taken and that part was fine. Our food was served and mine was stone cold! Like it had been microwaved and set aside whilst the larger dish was probably also being microwaved! The reason I knew it wasn't heated on a flattop/grill was because it just wasn't hot enough, no visible grill marks and absolutely NO flavor of being grilled!!. My flour tortillas were getting crusty/dry as sure sign of not being fresh and also microwaved. I am appauled after all the positive visits, that the quality of this place has gone down so far. Server, acted as though he was frightened of people, not a good personality trait tohave in this line of work. Never once did he state his name or have any type of personality. Also, the manager tried to convince me that my food had been reheated by way of flatop/grill but I felt suspicious when he returned so quickly. We will not be returning. I could have made 3 street tacos better myself and would have if we didn't loose powe at home (night of the storm). Restaurants will continue this behaviour and find themselves out of business, and across America we are seeing this trend moreso than ever. So sadly, my rating is 1 and would go lower if I could. It's in the "downtown" section of Daphne, which is pretty small but easy to find. It's parallel to Hwy 98 on scenic 98. Speaking of small, there are a couple of comfy seating areas, with couches and chairs, high-top tables, and a small bar. Upon entering we noticed the shotgun shake elongated space but it's very laid back and intimate with a nice atmosphere and vibe. Despite the limited space, they had a dude playing guitar and singing by the front door, nice and mellow too. There's a respectable choice of wines, but not overdone like some of the more pretentious places plus they have several craft beers, beers on tap and sparkling fizzy choices. Good news, if you're not a connoisseur you can also sample some of the wines, nice touch. We were greeted by Jessica, she rocked, and she guided us through the specials and all about the wines and foods. She took excellent care of us throughout the visits and made it a joy. While they had a bbq chicken slider being made that was not on the menu, and it sounded good, we got a flatbread pizza and the roasted red pepper hummus with pita bread and veggies. Both were outstanding, fresh, and a very good pairing for my sweetheart's wine and the stout beer that I chose. However, I regretted not getting their huge and inviting-looking charcuterie board, it's loaded full of different cheeses, olives, meats, and more, next time for sure. I got to meet quite a few people from our group, everyone seemed to enjoy their choices of food and libations so I feel pretty good that everyone enjoyed themselves and I look forward to doing it again real soon!
