You must have a click to cancel option and you do not. When you click to cancel you get this little note saying that you must come in person or do it in writing. I will include a screen shot. BESIDES the fact that I have done that TWICE already and I am still getting charged. This has been going on for several MONTHS. Not only have I cancelled, but I have also been promised a refund for all of the months that they kept charging me AFTER cancellation and received NOTHING in additiopn to getting charged more. The front desk team was super friendly and welcoming, and that same vibe seems to carry throughout the entire gym. I joined almost three months ago and took advantage of a sign-up special that included three coaching sessions. I figured it would be a good way to get familiar with the gym and learn my way around. I was paired with Trainer Amanda, and honestly, that turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made. She's knowledgeable, motivating, and somehow makes training fun. I had no intention of continuing with personal training after those first three sessions, but here I am already into my second 12-session package. (shout-out to Amanda ) The training packages are also very reasonably priced compared to what I've paid elsewhere. One of the driving reasons I needed to join a gym was because I needed to do more cardio but I HATE cardio machines. From the beginning when I told Amanda this, we started doing sessions in the outdoor area where she created training blocks for me that keeps it fun, interesting and keeps my heart rate up.. The sled is the (new to me) piece of equipment that I love to hate the most lol I'm already noticing improvements in my strength and balance, and my clothes are fitting noticeably looser. At 52, that's pretty great because loosing weight and gaining muscle is just not as easy as it was, especially in the last 10 years. I've belonged to high-end gyms like Equinox in the past, FitLife is just so much better. This is the gym I was hoping for when I was paying super-premium prices for those other places. I don't usually write reviews unless I'm either really disappointed or really impressed, and FitLife has for sure impressed me.

Unfortunately, my recent interaction with the fitness director, William (Will), completely changed that experience for me. In front of my friend who recently joined the gym and asked me how to properly use the equipment and in front other members, I was aggressively accused of training people at the gym. When I explained that I do not train clients there and that my social media does not advertise personal training services, I was repeatedly met with comments like "I'm not stupid" and claims that he "sees everything" on my Instagram. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that manager Justin witnessed the entire interaction and stood back without stepping in or attempting to de-escalate the situation. Instead of feeling supported as a long-time member, I felt publicly embarrassed, singled out, and harassed. After over 5 years of loyalty to this gym, I never expected to be approached and spoken to in such an unprofessional and confrontational manner. A respectful private conversation would have been far more appropriate than being challenged publicly in front of others. I still appreciate many aspects of this gym, but this experience seriously changed my perception of the environment and management. I hope situations like this are handled with more professionalism, discretion, and respect moving forward.

For the past couple of months, I've felt that I needed to better my health and my horrendous stamina and since you're allowed to try your first class for free, I was like, why not? I've tried doing those "at-home workouts" and failed miserably because I would just be lazy and say "I'll do the workout tomorrow" which would drag on and on...until a year passed. Oops. By the way, I am NOT a gym person. For me, I find going to the gym boring, redundant and I also have no motivation. I prefer more of a hiking or dancing salsa as a way of "working out". The thing I liked about OTF (Orangetheory Fitness) is that even though you're in a group, you still have a coach telling you what to work on as a group and will help you individually with your form throughout. You work at your own pace because you know what your body can handle. During the class, your monitor will sync to the screen above and you can see how you're doing. So far I have taken 3 classes (the first one being the free trial class) with Craig and Ariana and they have both been great coaches! Each class I took had probably a rough estimate of 15-20 people (different ages, different body types). You're also not doing the same set of exercises every class, they change it up. Even though 60 minutes seems like a long time, the hour will fly by because you're constantly doing something/rotating on the different machines/weights area. I started with the 8 classes/month package ($119) since I'm a newbie and so far that seems to work well with 2 classes a week with time to rest my muscles in between. They have an app you can download (they will walk you through it if you need help) and see your stats (they email this to you also) as well as sign up for classes right in the app which is very convenient. The front desk staff have always been very nice and helpful. There are lockers for you to put your stuff in while you're in class and they have showers (I think 2?) and bathrooms (I think 2?). There is a water fountain in the front and in the back (where class is) for you to fill up your water bottle. It's conveniently located and there is always parking. So if you're on the fence, sign up for the free class and see how it is! P.S. I realized when I signed up for the package/classes that you need to purchase the OTbeat Burn monitor that goes on your arm and I thought that was a little costly (I think it was $109?) but you do get to keep it. Not sure if you can rent them but I think I read somewhere that it costs $5-$10 each time so if you're taking a few classes, might as well just purchase the monitor.

He mentioned a three day free pass they offer to try out the gym and it worked out great. Now, that's customer service. Over the three days I found the gym to be clean, well maintained, tons of equipment and weights to use, and a varied crowd size depending on the time I was there. Never seemed overcrowded to me and the members were considerate. This is the type of gym you join to really train and not just goof around. Plus, they offer merchandise and training accessories, protein and energy drinks, etc. Plenty of classes to join for cardio needs. Decent hours daily and on weekends. From beginners to seasoned bodybuilders this is a great facility to get in your fitness goals.

This gym gets 3 stars as a "hardcore bodybuilding gym". It's kind of like going into a 90's time…read morewarp, in a good way. Pros Old school bodybuilding equipment and plenty of it. The stuff is spaced out well enough that you're not bumping into things or tripping over anyone. Some gyms try and cram too much equipment into limited space. The equipment is arranged by body part as it should be in a serious BB gym. I like that it has 2 separate complete dumbbell areas with full racks of dumbbells. I like that there is a separate room just for squatting. "If you're not squatting, don't come in here" that's something you'll only find at a bodybuilding gym. This gym has the AMT precor machines for cardio. For me, It's the best cardio machine to burn calories- most gyms have the eliptical machines that just spin like a hamster wheel. Parking is easy and the location is close to main roads. They are open later than most gyms if you have to train late. I never find it crowded, but I go later after peak hours. I don't know what it's like right at 5:30 on a weeknight. The WiFi works and is reliable They have a sauna that works. It's good but on the small side. Sometimes the door gets left partly open though and it may not be hot enough if you didn't check the door a while beforehand. Pretty much all the members are training, there isn't a lot of sitting around on equipment staring at phones, or people standing around in your way talking the whole time. Cons It's really windy in a lot of areas with the huge industrial warehouse style fans going full blast mounted right overhead. I don't like wind blowin' on me when I'm training hard and my clothes are wet. These are fans designed for a large high ceilinged space, but the blades are spinning only 4-5 feet over your head. I feel like being in wet clothes and standing in a stiff wind is a good way to get sick. The wind gives me a headache. It's not good. They should at least turn them down to lower speed. I would actually add a star if they would run the fans at a reasonable speed. The locker rooms are nothing special, just adequate. If you're a germaphobe you may not be happy. But fancy locker rooms are not what this gym is all about. The dumbbells are never in order, usually all mixed up. I don't like wasting time hunting around for a matching pair of DBs when I'm ready to do my set. The members do seem to reasonably good about putting weights away though. There's no water fountain to refill your water bottle. If you drink all your water you will have to buy more. If you came up training during the "high intensity era" of the bodybuilding 80's and 90's, you'll probably like this gym a lot. If you want more of a commercial health club/chain type gym with a lot of classes and amenities, or you want a gym with a lot of "fitness chicks" in tiny carefully selected outfits checking themselves out in the mirrors all the time, there are plenty of other choices right nearby that will be a better fit for you. For what I do and am looking for in a gym, it's 3 stars for me.
