I then found both of our ID's on my phone, showed Kobe, and asked if he could take our picture so we wouldn't have to go through that again. He said no. James then walked up, asked Kobe what was going on, and then offered to take our picture so there wouldn't be such a delay next time. The same exact thing Kobe said he couldn't do! I asked why Kobe told me he couldn't do it and James said, "Because I know more than him." I then worked out and guess what I asked 90 minutes later? Did Kobe learn to take pictures? Nope. Just bad service led from an owner who was made aware of a problem last week, did nothing, and then let it happen again to us. The issue is we don't pay that gym's owner according to Kobe. He said the owner of this location owns three gyms and if we don't pay one of them three then we have to show ID every workout which is unlike every other PF club. Horrible.

When I originally signed up, I made it clear that I did not want to be locked into a contract. I was told I could pay through my bank account and cancel my membership whenever I chose. Based on that understanding, I enrolled. Recently, I received a call informing me that I owed $68 because my account was past due. Since I hadn't used the gym in well over a year, I told them I wanted to cancel my membership. To my surprise, I was informed that I was required to provide a 30-day notice and would still be charged for two additional billing cycles. I then went to the gym in person, expecting the cancellation process to be straightforward. Instead, I was told they could not cancel my membership at the front desk. Even though I was standing there requesting cancellation, I was instructed to either submit a written request or create an online account and complete the cancellation myself. It was frustrating to be told that my in-person request wasn't sufficient. I also requested a copy of my membership agreement and noticed that my name was not even spelled correctly on the contract. What disappointed me most was the overall customer service. After being a paying member for several years--even though I hadn't used the facility for quite some time--I expected a simple, professional cancellation process. Instead, I felt like unnecessary obstacles were placed in my way. During my visit, I expressed my frustration with the situation, but I remained respectful. I did not yell, threaten anyone, or use profanity. Despite that, I later received an email from the owner warning that law enforcement would be contacted if there were any further issues. I ve been to a gym (which shall not be mentioned) where the front line (front desk) service is not what one would expect. Equipment for the most part was working and the gym felt VERY clean. No duct tape holing equipment seats together. Classes- I have not attended any, but I am familiar with the instructors and they all are amazing. (Dalys, Stephanie, and Jamine) Ohhh chil I had to get outta there, me and my phone were melting. You may be able to find them on Facebook and Instagram. LA fitness provides multiple locations in my city, which is convenient and does not give me an excuse for not going. They also have multiple locations throughout the US - from Cali to Pr. I'm in Orlando and Chicago often and having multiple gyms in those cities is amazing (again, not excuse for not getting in there) Locker room- as I was coming in there was a cleaner, locker room is clean. It's so convoluted - currently, there's no enrollment fee if you sign up for an annual contract, but there is an enrollment fee if you want a monthly contract... there's a $60 gym fee after a month or so... and so on. By the time that everything is said and done, my calculations for a monthly contract worked out to be roughly $55 - $65 per month for a few months which is unreasonably high. I get it that gym corporations need to make money, but there has to be a better and more transparent way to price memberships. DJ was incredibly kind and patient, so that is why the gym gets a 3 star rating instead of a 1 star rating. My review has nothing to do with the staff.

Once entered, you are greeted with a smile. The staff are very friendly and nice. The equipments and bathroom are clean. Like most gyms, some people do not wipe the equipments. However, the staff at this gym make sure the equipments are clean and disinfected. My only concern is how small this gym is. It gets very busy between 4 PM - 7 PM and waiting on the equipments can be frustrating and time-consuming. The Oakleaf community is expanding; there is a need for bigger gym to accommodate large # of people. Overall, this gym is great. It's worth a visit and will fulfill your needs. This time, a manager stops me and says,"You have met your maximum visits per month for Fleming Island Planet Fitness." Ok, when did you start only allowing a black card member 10 visits a month? Sure, some of my workouts are just 10 minutes, so I don't really get full workout since I have limits on my time. 10 visits probably was a total of 4 hrs. for June. I was hoping to discover some classes I could attend however their class schedule varied from the normal since it was the Holiday. I would have loved to get in there on Thanksgiving but they were closed. Knowing my home "Y" just had a large renovation I did not show up here with wild expectations however was bummed that there was no towel service. Whenever I'm in this area I will definitely go back. We don't have kids so I did not pay much attention to the grounds in that regard or other activities but the "Y" has a long standing seal of approval for these sorts of things. The "Y" in general is a great place for families to participate in and can benefit on all levels.
