One of my favorite spots in NYC. Trust me small is big enough. I'm a regular here. You have to dodge the panhandlers, and base heads before you get inside to order. You have to figure out what you want before you jump in line because they are pumping smoothies out as fast as they come in. Pretty good smoothie place with fresh fruits and vegetables located in Penn Station by the ACE subway entrance. There are preset drinks but you can also pick and choose your fruits/vegetables. Prices are a little high, but the sizes were bigger than I expected. My medium was more like a large! I had The Last Mango while my friend had the Chocolate Elvis. Both were pretty good and refreshing. I could definitely taste the peanut butter in the Chocolate Elvis but it wasn't overpowering. read more

Tasti D-Lite - don't knock it till you try it. Whatever is in it, it sure is good. For a gal that doesn't like to watch her calories, this D-Lite is a D-Lite-ful surprise both in the taste and low-cal department. Nothing beats French Vanilla with chocolate sprinkles! The fact that it is now open in Penn Station makes me giddy. Every time I walk by it, I can't help but smile. Unlike the other places, this is self-serve (they charge you by the weight). This is probably one of the most underrated smoothie places I've been to. It's in a pretty convenient spot in Penn Station. Upon walking in, you see a bunch of fresh fruit - always a good sign when going to a smoothie place. There are so many options, and I had difficulties deciding since everything looked delicious. I ended up going with the Berry Dragon Fruit Breeze which blends pitaya, acai, strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, and almond milk. I am a huge sucker for acai and pitaya blends, and this smoothie really hit the spot for me after coming out of those hot and sweaty subway stops. The pineapple and strawberries definitely overpower some of the other flavors in the smoothie, but I wasn't too bothered by it. My other half ordered the Pineapple Tropi-kale Twist, which blends leafy greens, passionfruit, pineapple, and almond milk. His was pretty delicious too! Both were refreshing beverages that kept us company in the hot summer heat while walking back to our hotel. I didn't know this was a franchise since there aren't any where I live, but I'll be on the lookout Planet Smoothie in the future. read more

For all you health junkies out there, its just best to avoid this place altogether. As a former employee, I know what I'm talking about. I don't feel honest working there, its why I left. The juices are way healthier than the smoothies.They are the only one with no added sugar! As for the smoothies, they are made with fruit that are packaged and sent to us in SUGAR. The raspberries and blueberries are a puree. The ingredients on the container says BLUEBERRIES,SUGAR or RASBERRIES,SUGAR. So when you ask if we add sugar the answer is no BECAUSE IT COMES TO US IN SUGAR, WE DONT ADD ANY MORE!!! Also, the papaya, mango,apple, orange, kiwi, grape,lemon all come from a pump in a bottle. No actual fruit goes into your smoothie if you order one with one of these items in it! I've had customers ask for just a mango smoothie and it sickens me that I know what they will be drinking! Not actual mango and ice blended but some kind of artificial syrup and some water and ice is what they truely will be getting. Also I've had reason to believe that the immune, fiber, and immunity blasts are fake. Its just water and food coloring. The only blast that's real is the protein blast. Its really protein. Whey to be exact. The fake blasts are just a ruse to squeeze more money out of you($1 addt.!!!!!) for thinking it might actually be beneficial for your health. So here's my advice: ALWAYS ASK FOR FRESH FRUIT! Order the ones from the front of the counter in the display section. And forget about those damned blasts. As a matter of fact, just don't come here at all. Spend your money elsewhere. Or Jamba Juice. read more

Horrible service. There were three customers including myself with 7 employees behind the counter. I have no idea why they were all there because it's a small store connected with a Tasti D- lite. What I do know is.....only one guy was making drinks in between his conversations with the other 6 (One of the six happened to be digging in his nose while listening). The one guy making the drink did actually wash his hands so I didn't immediately ask for a refund. I wouldn't mind the conversation if he wasn't moving and cleaning up so slow as if no one was waiting for a drink. He finally got to my drink. I'm the only customer in the store...he puts it on the counter, calls the number connected with the drink and then walks away. Really? Horrible drink. After the experience above the drink was horrible. I didn't see one piece of fruit get cut up or thrown in and it tasted like it. It was sugary and disgusting. Let's say I didn't mind the sugary part...it was still disgusting! I will never visit any of this place again. read more

Last time I tried it I got carrot juice, but instead of giving me the cleaned carrots in the display case, they used carrots that didn't look clean instead, but it still tasted fresh and good. This time I got a smoothie, which was thick and so sweet, I couldn't finish half of it. read more

i got to the lovely underground penn station and while waiting for a family friend who i never met before whos coming from dc via amtrak i decided to grab a smoothie from planet smoothie so my wait can be bearable .as soon as i make my way inside its fruits and more fruits and veggies all over ready to be smashed and blended into a large cup , not doing the veggie drink no way no way to a v8 no way to a clamato(yuck ) but yes to a fruit smoothie of pineapples , oranges , watermelon and a few other fruits i dont recall . for 8 bucks it was good and maybe i will skip lunch , maybe a peanut butter / banana smoothie for the walk back to work after the family friend arrives but then i gotta buy him one and not in the mood to walk around with 2 drinks in my hands . will be back friday to drop this stranger at amtrak so maybe a very berry smoothie will do me right . read more

This is a review for Tasti D-Lite and Planet Smoothie. Tasti D-Lite: Very delicious fro-yo. However, they seemed to always run out of the plain/greek yogurt(which is my fave). Some of the flavors are really good,(french vanilla) while the others are...not so much(Cereal fro-yo??) I prefer plain fro-yo, because I don't want my fro-yo to taste like ice cream. Always, it's good and self serve. Planet Smoothie: Tasty smoothie. I got the "Spazz" one (Banana, Strawberries and low fat milk) It's good, but very very sweet. I'm not a smoothie person, but it tasted too sweet. meh, it's good tho I guess, but not too healthy. I'd still come again though. read more

I stepped in on the way home from work and asked if it would be possible to get a no sugar version of one of their more popular smoothies. To my surprise the manager not only said yes but helped supervise making it to ensure I got the right one. They made it using all fresh fruit including squeezing lemons for the lemonade and it was awesome. Great service! read more

Awful place, stay away seriously! Overcharge you for a smoothie and it tastes horrid. I ordered a strawberry, banana, mango, and spinach smoothie which tasted tooooo sweet and fake. I had to catch a train and wasn't able to go back and just basically, return it. I had to throw it away after 2 sips because I was going to vomit otherwise from the artificial sweetness. This is a frozen treat heaven I frequent whenever I make my rounds to the upper West side and love that it's conveniently located near the e train and other modes of public transportation. They work in tandem with tasti delite so be prepared to enjoy frozen yogurt smoothies and a juice bar as well. They provide a nice customer experieince by providing a clean efficiently operated environment, a nice cool ambience with pleasant informative staff members who provide samples of frozen yogurt, which gets rotated daily with tantalizing flavo.rs like chocolate covered strawberry red velvet blue berry pie to name a few. It's delicious, but somewhat pricy so I focus on my smoothies which include chia seeds. I recommend getting their avocado oasis smoothie which is sweet yet tangy and creamy with avocado banana kale spinach lemon and coconut and pineapple it's highly recommended and so refreshing on a hot day read more

This is the first time I came in this store. I had no idea what I wanted to order. I apologized to the cashier for trying to read the selection real fast. She didn't make any attempt to explain anything. So I picked the acai smoothie from the Wellness menu. It was awful. Way too sweet. I actually enjoyed a smoothie from McDonalds more than this. I expected much better and healthier. I guess I'm too old to handle all that sugar. On second thought no one should have that much sugar. read more

Got a medium Kiwi Kazi smoothie. Didn't see any kiwi in the blender. It just tasted like a little bit of strawberry juice with two cups of sugar.
