When I checked out, they inputted a price higher than what was on the menu they handed me, plus also an additional random charge that they said was "tax" but was on top of the tax charge that was already on it. I pointed it out, and they gave me a random amount of money back that didn't even work out math wise. This happened to me last time too. Today I got the $17 curry, my receipt said the item was $19 and with tax was 20.69. The cashier plugged in the charge as 21.01. I asked what the charge was for, and he said tax. I said the tax was already included, and he said oh, and gave me $1.69 back. This is very concerning for scammy business. read more

Teensy tiny little place serving vegan and vegetarian food with many Asian options. It's basically just a kitchen with a register so you can only order for take away. They have breakfasty items as well as lunchy and dinnery things. Plus smoothies and desserts if you want something sweet. The food comes out fast and there's usually not a crowd of people outside waiting, so it's an easy spot for a quick pickup. I wasn't expecting the food to be that good, but the bbq seitan burger was amazing! Not only was the seitan smothered in bbq sauce (and a tasty one at that), but there were tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, VEGGIE BACON?? AND another extra secret sauce! It was so messy but delicious! It's really great to have a vegan/vegetarian option down the street on the days we don't have time to make lunch on the weekends, and to know that said food is fresh, flavorful and full of variety! This is not a dine-in, sometimes they might put a table or two our front during the summer, but plan on ordering ahead and picking up for take-out. Between my husband and me, we have tried a couple of the veggie burgers, the vegan philly cheesesteak, buffalo wild wings and the fries. Keep in mind, just because it's vegan, doesn't make it healthy! This food will definitely be indulgent and rich in its own way, but it's a nice treat once in a while. Oh my god. This place is a game changer. I was visiting my parents in the city and looking to order something for lunch when I stumbled upon this place on Uber eats. I'm vegetarian so I completely lost it when I saw their menu. They have everything I can't usually order like a gazillion buns, dumplings, rolls, subs, wraps, etc ALL VEGAN!!! Like, these are things that are usually completely off limits for me. Typically, GF and I binge together so I can use the excuse that I'm ordering for the two of us when I order enough food for a party. Unfortunately, I was just ordering for myself but I came up with the idea to order extra to "bring home for later". Needless to say it took me an inappropriate amount of time to narrow down to what I actually ordered which was the vegan beyond bao buns, Seoul pancake dumplings, and char siu banh mi. I haven't had the bao buns yet but they look like they could be on the cover of a food magazine. The Seoul pancake dumplings were INCREDIBLE. The sauce they provided for dipping was literally so good I had actually planned on using it to season some fried rice but GF threw it out so I will have to hold a grudge over that for the next 12 hours. The banh mi was delicious as well. It was stuffed with shredded daikon radish (initially thought was onions and almost gave myself an aneurysm), carrots, jalapeño, cilantro, cucumber, and soy meat. I do wish there was a little more soy meat but I was pleased with the amount of veggies. If I fucking lived within their delivery radius it would not take long for me to try every single thing on their menu. read more

Did the Vegan Smoky Tempeh Avocado Wrap for lunch - crispy tempeh, creamy avocado and crispy chips and more avocado (!) - guac on the side. For dinner, tried the Seoul Pancakes Dumplings (my favorite) and Beyond Dumplings - both come w a delicious chili red sauce that has the perfect amount of kick without overpowering your dumpling. Had the Sesame Medallion for my entree - soy chicken, w brown rice, teriyaki sauce and kale. I like what they do in concept. Bear in mind that they're not as quick as, say, the local Thai places. Don't just order and show up - give 'em some time to get their act together. I ordered wings and seitan skewers. Both came heavily covered in thick, rich, sweet sauce. Some people will probably love this super-indulgent style, but I came to eat food, not a saucy fake meat dessert. I scraped some of the sauce off, but the food is so moist and irregularly-shaped that it's mostly a lost cause. I considered dumping it into a colinder and literally washing it off, but in the end only did so with the salad at the bottom. If they have confidence in the food they're preparing, does it really need so much sauce? I will order from Plant Blossom again if they have a sauce-on-the-side option. Went to the place and spoke to the guy at the register (they a small window) about gluten free dishes. He confirmed that the bean tacos and vegan crispy mushroom are gluten free dishes. I asked him to ring them up and asked what else is gluten free, he said let me ask my boss. Left the store, came back 20 seconds later with said boss, and said that nothing is gluten free, and walked away into the kitchen with said boss who didn't even look at me. Lucky for us, we live close by; when the pantry and freezer chef options in our apartment are exhausted, Plant Blossom is our default go-to. I don't eat meat, but if I feel like I don't have to taste any 'real' wings (appetizer) - the Plant Blossom offering is absolutely outstanding. This little gem is a massive win for Hell's Kitchen! As soon as I heard it was open, and that they had VEGAN WINGS, I wasted no time checking them out. The owner is super kind and is clearly so grateful to be in the community. I ordered both styles of wings as well as the spring rolls. The spring rolls were *okay*, no more, no less. Plant Blossom is great!! The food is really delicious and I just love that they approach vegan food with so much creativity and fun. My favorite thing to get is the smoky tempeh wrap, which is completely delicious. I've gotten the bao buns before and found them a little bland -- there wasn't very much filling and I kind of wished there had been more! Maybe with some veggies in addition to the beyond meat! It's NOT wheelchair accessible - so my wife got to see the carrots, uncovered, being stored in the window instead of being washed, put away and dated.
