    Vibe

Pros: great service, quirky vibe, and decent options (Kinda sorta) Cons: one menu item was not my vibe personally (but still good for vegetarian/vegans) The restaurant was so cute and quirky and the staff were genuinely so kind. The food was honestly not bad here! I think if you're a vegetarian or vegan you'd really enjoy it. I wasn't a huge fan of the Mac and cheese because I felt as if it has an odd after taste. Also the smell was a little off putting. The lasagna and chick'n and waffles were quite good! Good dupe for cheese and meat. I loved the kbbq seitan wings! Especially the gochujang ranch dressing! I might come back for their drinks because they had a really good happy hour deal.

Gluten-free lasagna with brown rice pasta. The thing to get!

Went here to support a vegan spot instead of going to our usual Polish place for Friday early lunch and it didn't disappoint. The waiter was on top of it: My partner got the lasagna and I got the loaded broccoli, as I was feeling something cheesy. Wish I'd gotten the BLT, because as their menu stated, the loaded broccoli was a starter, and very one-note. But that's my own fault. I also got a prosecco which was $3 off which I had no idea about until the check came, and my partner an unsweetened iced tea which she loved. Atmosphere-wise, the place feels more catered to a nighttime crowd with the dark walls and graffiti so I'm not sure I'd go again for brunch/lunch again but I'm glad I'm glad I finally tried it out.

Good food, healthy, all Vegan, good service, reasonable prices, enjoyed the music. Able to have a conversation. I got a gluten free burrito bowl, filling and supportive high protein meal. We had a cauliflower appetizer with dipping sauce, delicious. Also, potato leek soup was enjoyed. We were so full, we could not consider dessert. See the pictures and video. Can I get a heart?

    Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

I was so excited to learn about this place. I am not vegan but I don't eat meat and try to eat plant-based as much as I can. I didn't want a full meal so I decided to just get the cauliflower bites. They were so good, as was the sauce that came with them. The cauliflower was the perfect consistency, and the breading on the outside wasn't over-fried. The place is also really cute and has a nice little vibe. There's a bar towards the front and seating area in the back. Good music and decor. I wish I had caught the server's name - he was so nice. After bringing the bites over, he came back with extra napkins "just in case." He also gave lots of great recommendations, so I will have to come back and try the other dishes he mentioned! I hope this place does well

Korean I'm Still #1 Korean BBQ Wings

Food was yummy and cooked well. I loved the texture of things especially the Korean wings. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Overall cool, hip, come-as-you-are vibe. Will definitely be back.

I really liked the ambiance and atmosphere of this restaurant. It wasn't crowded and didn't have that overcrowded nyc feel. Our server was nice. The place was clean. Even the bathroom was clean. We just weren't impressed with the food. The waffle from the chicken and waffles was the best thing we ate. Although the mustard on the waffle was rather gross and didn't fit the vibe of the dish. The chicken pieces were also different textures which was strange. The Mac and cheese had too many "bread crumbs" that the texture was off. And the mud slide pie is nothing more than a fudgy brownie. All three items together was about $60.

We Not Going to Sizzla Coconut Shrimp

We came here for brunch and had such a great experience. Ambiance: it's got a really unique vibe with late night diner disco vibes. The seats were comfortable and it's not too loud. Food: We started with the Mac n cheese. The mushrooms were a perfect touch to add a bit of crisp and unique flavor. I really liked the texture of it too. We also got the buffalo soldier cauliflower bites. They were good but felt average compared to the other dishes we tried. Our favorite was the sizzla coconut shrimp. It was so crispy and flavorful and the sauces it came with were the perfect compliment. The Korean bbq wings were really good and had a yummy coating. We also tried the French toast and it was fluffy and the sliced almonds on top were a good bonus. Service: our waiter was very friendly and helped answer all our questions. He also checked in on us often to ensure we had everything we needed. I'd easily come back here to try more of the items on the menu and highly recommend this spot.

The Luca Brasi Oshi Salmon Pasta
    Kevin D.

During my visit, I experience good customer service; employees seek to be helpful and are kind. The Luca Brasi Oshi Salmon Pasta is a filling and tasty meal; the fettuccine alfredo portion is heavy, and carries, nearly absorbs, the lemon and salmon flavor to form a bitter-sour melange to a smooth-softer-fromage-plain-Greek-yogurt-like mixture which tapers with black pepper; and the Oshi Salmon offers a delicate independent flavor, quite savory, saltless-like, dryer than moist, though of fine flavor, like an actual salmon after being on the fire long enough with water treatment, off the fire receives a proper garlic-olive oil treatment. There is a mini-bar seating area as well as a living room-esque seating area. The establishment's interior decorating is eclectic between photography, wall art, and other decor. Chill Vibes. The establishment accepts different forms of payment.

This spot is hands down THE best ole skool ambiance in NYC. The pictures and video do no justice. Absolute vegan that leans toward mushroom base. I have the empanadas, wings, and fries. The bar offers Smokey drinks and great music. There servers were friendly and accommodating. I look forward to my next visit.

Incredible food with quality ingredients. One of the best Vegan spots in New York. The service was extremely nice and loved hearing great music during my dining experience. I will be back!

    Onion Rings
    Jeannette L.

I married into a vegetarian family. This Sunday, we met up with my sister-in-law and her partner at Urban Vegan Kitchen on 23rd. This was my first time there, but they've been here a bunch of times and it's become a regular spot for them. The four of us were seated at one of the tables in the corner with two chairs and plush bench seating aligning the wall. Inside is super cozy with cool framed pictures all over the walls. It's a vibe. I went with the Nah, For Real? ranch salad and, because I'm greedy, a side of onion rings. This ended up being my meal for the day. It was not only delicious but very filling/satisfying. Again, greedy, on my salad, I added the shiitake bacon because I wanted to sample how they did it here. They put a nice smoky flavor on the mushrooms. These were the greatest hits around the table (everyone was happy and full!): - Nah, For Real? Ranch Salad - The Cody Maverick No Fish Sandwich - The Hollyhood Special (pizza) - Breakfast Sandwich with side salad - Mushroom Empanadas - Nanoo Nanoo Onion Rings

The house-made raviolis were just great and perfectly filled with savory vegan sausage. (I know it's assumed that everything here is vegan but I can't help but clarify. ) For desert, I had the panna cotta and my bf had the chocolate hazelnut dome. Sentir is 100% vegan, and I would confidently bring even my carnivore friends here without hesitation. If nobody told you it was vegan, you'd simply think you were eating some of the most creative, flavorful Mexican food you've ever had. It's that good. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell this isn't just another restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and inviting without feeling pretentious. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind (thanks Camila who served us both days!), knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to talk about the menu and the other restaurants in the group. Their passion for what they do shines through in every interaction. The food completely exceeded every expectation we had. Every dish was beautifully presented, packed with bold flavors, and unlike anything we've had before. We found ourselves talking about every bite and immediately discussing what we'd come back to try... which ended up being less than 24 hours later. We were so excited by the food on our first visit that we completely forgot to take pictures! (It became a complete afterthought because we had already scarfed everything down. ) Thankfully, we redeemed ourselves on day two! The cocktails also deserve their own standing ovation. They're creative, beautifully crafted, and every bit as memorable as the food. If you're looking for a restaurant where every detail has clearly been thoughtfully considered from the atmosphere and service to the food and drinks, Sentir absolutely delivers. We travel to NYC often and almost never eat at the same restaurant twice because there are so many amazing places to try. The fact that we chose to come back the very next day says everything you need to know. Sentir has officially earned a permanent spot on our "must visit" list every time we're in that part of the city. What We Ate (and absolutely LOVED): Sentir Guac - Easily one of the freshest and most flavorful guacamoles we've ever had. It was served with chips and a deep fried tofu that was reminiscent of a "chicken skin" or something along those lines. I've never tried anything like it and it was good and unique! Carne Asada Tacos - Perfectly seasoned with amazing texture and incredible flavor. Al Pastor Chicken Tacos - Sweet, savory, smoky, and absolutely delicious. Cream of Corn - I wasn't expecting a bowl of corn to stand out the way it did. It was warm, comforting and cheesy. I just wish it came with something to dip with. Unfortunately too much was dripping through the fork and I wanted to savor it all! Chile Rellenos - Beautifully prepared with layers of flavor in every bite. It was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth! Tamal de Carne - Tender, comforting, and packed with incredible flavor. What We Drank: Sentir Michelada - One of the best my husband ever had. The chose Modelo as the beer Little Pitcher - This was a bunch drink. It had grapefruit & orange juice (among other things) but it was shockingly unique and dangerously easy to drink. Café con Ron - The perfect twist or play on an espresso martini but a million times better! Nutty Olivia - I believe this was on "special" and it was a mooth, creative, and another cocktail I'd order again in a heartbeat. It contains gin, which my husband doesn't like but he must have stolen at least 3 sips before I told him to worry about his own drink! Final thought: If a restaurant is good enough to make us skip trying somewhere new in New York City and instead return the very next day, that's about the highest compliment we can give. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a lifelong meat eater, do yourself a favor go!!! I have a feeling you'll be planning your second visit before you even finish your first.
