From the pure vibrant vibes to the incredible staff that make this gem thrive. Tucked away in Hollywood on the cusp of West Hollywood off of Sycamore Ave and Fountain Avenue, just a small skip east from La Brea Avenue. They're open from 9 AM until 5:30 PM all 7 days of the week. And carry plants, planters, gardening essentials and wonderoud things of all shapes and sizes. I've been passing by frequently for nearly two months on my way to work usually before they're open or after they're closed on as I make my way home and finally got to stop in and explore. That wave of calm, relaxation and vibrance that being around nature and all it's planty goodness lives here in abundance. Explore in person, place orders for pick up or even delivery. Mickey Hargitay has a rich history to match it's ambiance since it's birth in 1980, starting off with succulents, cacti and their own macrame designs Voted one of the best places to buy plants in 2015. Featured in the L.A. Times in 2016. Featured in Voyage LA in 2021. Not to mention a great spotlight in 2025. Founded and owned by Mickey Hartigay Jr. a fellow Sag and plant lover like myself. He and every single person here is a gem, I picked up on nothing but good energy even after the end of a long day and rainy weekend everyone here does their best to bring a slice of joy to each person. Ringing up my assortment right as they were closing they still didn't miss a beat. Hoping to stop in a lot more (scheduling pending) and get to know everyone, find more plants for the house as well as a new plant for my boyfriends place of even bring him in to explore. This was a 30 minute drive for me but that's nothing when it comes to enjoying a walk through some awesome plants. There isn't much parking and you have to find a spot on the street. Upon entering the property you are consumed with lush and rare greenery. I found many sought after plants and they were priced accordingly. There are many areas in their outdoor area as well as inside the greenhouse. Most plants have a price on the pot of on a tray if there are multiples. There is also a pottery shop although I didn't go in there. I could have easily left with a car full of plants but was able to exercise restraint and only left with a sweet Hoya Polyneura. The shape was flawless, the tree stayed fresh, and the price was right. Plus, the couple who own this place are very nice. My only complaint is that the nailed-on base that it came with had a slow leak. I pulled it off after a few days and replaced it with my own stand. It was a slight inconvenience, but had to be done to save my floor.

They are so so well priced and there is such a wide selection. The shop feels like magic the way it just keeps going the further in you walk! So glad I went to Potted instead of a big retailer. I had a stellar time and am happy to report my plants are all doing great.

They looked great when first planted. But then they began shriveling and dying. Unbeknownst to my landscaper and me, these Eugenia shrubs are diseased and are dying. They were planted correctly and properly watered and fertilized. Vineland Nursery won't replace them because "they didn't grow them". The grower, they claim, is responsible, and mentioned that other customers had the same problem. This lack of due diligence in vetting the grower and their plants is unprofessional, and the onus is not on the customer. I expect full exchanges or a refund for my purchase.

They may be a bit more pricey than HD but these days, it doesn't seem that way and you get personalized service... which is worth whatever extra it might cost. No waiting for a floor person to come to your aisle and give you wrong info! Today I had to replace two door locks and have them keyed to my old key. It was done quickly (there's a $9.50 charge for each lock re-key so it was $38 & the cost of the two locks and 2 extra keys, just over $100 but, having a locksmith out would have cost at least twice that amount. It's a great mom and pop feeling old fashioned hardware store and much appreciated.
