Yes Yes Yes!! This is an amazing restaurant, I had brunch today for the second time here and they did not disappoint. Tried the Bao, the lettuce wrap, the loaded sandwich and they were all so delicious. The service was impeccable from the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with warm smiles and our waiter she is so amazing she also waited on us the last time we were there. She is very knowledgeable about the menu and just great all around. As all reviews start, "I don't ever write reviews". But I HAD to write a review. Let me start with the cocktails. They were incredible . I think had a cactus one, it was green. Five out of five, HARD 5. Next the food, they had just opened so the server hooked us up with a bunch of concepts. Watermelon? As a tuna?! What a concept. BLEW my mind and tasted like real tuna. Any rate, I'm a carnivore through and through. My height and weight demand it, so when I was craving for some meat I got these tiger noodles. Wow. How impressive, didn't even notice. I've been going to Planta since the opener in Williamsburg and every time they exceed my expectations. I've brought just about everyone possible to try their food. I'm not personally a vegan, but lots of my friends are so it's a go to spot for us. The service is always on point and they always help me out when I want to get in last minute. The team working here truly cares and it makes all the difference in the experience especially when I bring a group of 4 or more. Oh yeah, and the place is gorgeous! A very nice and fancy location with a twist. All the vegan items are very well made and fresh. The location is easy to find. The seating are a bit tight but common for a hipster spot like this one. Walked in at 7pm without a reservation and the hostess said they had nothing available when there was a full room of open tables and only two tables occupied. As someone who has worked as a hostess many years ago this is ridiculous to let business walk out the door because people had reserved the other tables between 8-9. I would understand if we were a large group but it was only two of us. Absolutely ridiculous there was no thought process behind it. read more

Just had an amazing bday dinner for my brother in law. A large menu with plenty for everyone (and I can eat anything since it's all vegan!) The table agreed that some favs were the bao buns, truffle udon, and beet tartar. And ALL the sushi, of course! My carnivore husband loved dinner too and we were all *almost* too full for a warm choc chip cookie for dessert. So the food was great. But even better? The chairs!! Our table has the ones with cushioned arms and those chairs are dreamy!!! We couldn't stop talking about how amazingly comfortable those magical chairs are. Can I request particular chairs when I make my next reservation? Not joking .... Also, nice flattering lighting. And those things matter to me as much as the food. After living in Miami for some time, I'm very familiar with the Planta brand. A few I know are straight up obsessed, and while I don't get the hype, I'm ready to try a new location. I tried their pizza for the first time, a vodka one. As a dairy-free connehiseur, I couldn't help but indulge in a item not typically on my menu. Indulgent it was! The cashew cheese (my favorite variety of vegan cheese) absolutely did it's job as well as the perfect vegan pesto. I had leftovers for a full other meal and that justifies the sometimes outrageous price points (why is a vegan sushi roll more expensive than one with multiple varieties of fish?). The delicious pizza makes me want to try their other pies, so I'll probably be back. It's overall a swanky vegan spot for date night or with friends! read more

I don't write many reviews but I needed to express my gratitude I Came here for a date with my partner after work, I was so tired I messed up on my order :/ I let them know it was a mistake on my end, everyone was SUPER nice! Very understanding, very attentive, service was amazing, atmosphere was beautiful, thankfully they were kind enough to fix my order, much appreciated after my long day ‍. My server Paige , Jeremiah, and Oliver gave absolute exceptional service! The food delicious always, cocktails and new additions to the menu were phenomenal, the key lime cheesecake was to DIE for! Without a doubt one of our favorite vegan restaurants in New York! 10/10 would highly recommend, we ate and left no crumbs! Best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. The food was INSANELY good. We ordered pad Thai slaw (one of the best things I've eaten) bang bang broccoli (close to the best thing I've ever eaten), bao, bread & ricotta and vodka pizza. I thought the drinks were a little too sweet so went with wine. And I can't forget the impeccable service. I wish I remember our waitress' name but she was wonderful. I feel like the portions should be bigger for the price and that the flavors are very well done but my personal preference is simply to go get some tacos or something. Overall this place was good the service was great, beautiful atmosphere, my favorite dish was the whipped ricotta bread omgg delicious. The crispy rice, bao bun and 1,000 layer potato was great too.we also had the udon noodles which were perfect. I was not crazy about the crab roll & the hawaiian pizza was WAY too spicy to enjoy. I wouldnt order that again. Also, the dessert cookie came out cold, normally i would let that slide but this place is too expensive for small details like that to be over looked. Party of 3 went for brunch. My 1st time visiting this location, small but ver nice and there is room between tables. Lots of great vegan options, however on this visit I was disappointed in the Bang Bang Broccoli which are a staple! They were overcooked. Our server did express that other patrons also voice the same. But overall great food, great fresh quality, server was attentive. Gotta remember to add photos next time, but really just visit you won't be disappointed. read more

A whole night of Delicious food, strong drinks, and wonderful serves and never for one moment did I think of meat or animal based foods. Nothing to write home about. Would not recommend. 2/10 We came pretty early in the evening and we're one of planta's first tables seated for the night. The decor of the restaurant is quite beautiful and spacious. We were impressed by the inside of the restaurant. As it was a nice evening, we sat outside and our waitress was very nice. She asked us if it was our first time and walked us through her recommended dishes. Per her recommendation, we ordered three dishes per person (x3 people at our table.) I was super disappointed with what we were served when compared to the price point of the restaurant. The ceviche (image attached), which I believe was ~$18 dollars, was absolutely the tiniest little thing I had ever seen and consisted of the tiniest amount of each ingredient possible (I only really got the hearts of palm) in a sweet and very sour vinaigrette. I was shocked that they considered this to be worth the price point, as it could have been consumed in one bite and was not delicious. I understand with vegan food it's a take on ceviche, but this was so far from the original dish that I was left wanting. It was more akin to a fruit salad. The second thing we ordered, the torched and pressed (image attached), was probably the only dish that actually had an interesting flavor. But again, it was quite unsubstantial as it was some charred avocado on a bed of rice. My drink, the lych please, tasted like a bar of soap. It was not good. The sugar around the rim was also drizzled on the side of the glass, making it messy to hold and it felt kind of unsanitary to lick the side of the glass. We were still very hungry towards the end so we decided to order the lumaconi pasta. By then, it had gotten quite busy and the service was becoming much slower. The pasta was good -- but it tasted mostly of sweet coconut and that was off putting for a spicy, savory tomato pasta. Upon receiving the bill, all it had was a QR code to pay and we were confused as it seemed to want an app download at first. Although we had stated that we were new to the restaurant, no one came to explain the payment to us or walk us through the process. We had to ask another waiter to call ours over, who ended up never coming back to our table. We ended up figuring it out ourselves but wish there had been more care. Perhaps it's best not to sit outside, where you will be ignored if the inside is busy. Overall: It's quite disappointing to pay $55 per person for a meal that I could have made more deliciously at home. None of the dishes were remarkable, memorable, or anything to write home about. I ended up leaving feeling extremely hungry and like I had just wasted my money. I've had amazing, substantial vegan food before. Serving vegan food should not mean leaving your patrons hungry and wanting for any sort of interest in the meal. This place is just like every other vegan restaurant with a fancy interior, expensive prices, and a very lackluster menu. Skip this one and save your money! read more

Went there because they cancelled my order on Grubhub (manager called saying he'd throw in some free apps) and when I went to the restaurant, the servers def didn't make it up (no one came to take my order!) don't think I've ever been to a restaurant in Williamsburg where the servers just ignore customers. Don't come here if you have food allergies!! We dined here on June 30th. Our server asked if anyone at our table had any allergies. Two of us stated our allergies and the server went to check with the kitchen to see what they can do. Around 20 minutes later the server came back to take our order and did not say anything about our allergies. We assumed they just made a note of it. We ordered a gluten free spicy chorizo pizza, a spicy vodka pizza regular, broccoli, potatoes, and udon noodles. We got the potatoes first, and they were delicious but tiny portions . Next the server came with the spicy chorizo pizza and I was starving so I dug in right away. I commented that crust looked so good for gluten free. After eating half of the pizza, the waiter then came around with another spicy chorizo pizza with a very different looking crust, and announced it was gluten free. I immediately realized what had happened and reminded them that I had a gluten intolerance. The server apologized but the damage was already done. Soon after most of our other items came, but about 45min after we had originally ordered, my friend was still waiting for her regular vodka pizza. We reminded the server twice and they ensured us it was on its way. We we finally received it, everyone else had already finished eating. My friend ate and then we waited again to get our boxes and check. When the check came, we noticed we had been charged for the gluten free pizza despite the mix up. We asked politely if this could be comped because of the mistake. The server said she would talk to the manager. One manager came over and talked to us, saying that they were not planning on refunding the pizza because we had eaten the regular chorizo pizza and therefore that was "free". We clarified that war had not ordered the regular chorizo and only a gluten free one. She then brought over another manager who proceeded to lecture me about being clear about my allergies and sending back items that are incorrect. She claimed that their policy is to announce when something is gluten free so that everyone knows. I'm not sure how we were supposed to know this as this is something that hasn't existed in restaurants I have worked at and even so the gluten pizza came first. She was very rude and condescending but eventually agreed to refund the incorrect pizza. It was a small compensation for the pain I felt later and I felt very disrespected for just trying to make sure my allergies were taken into account. read more

I had Planta in LA/Brentwood and it was delicious so was excited to see there are a few in NY but the quality is not the same. I ordered the sushi box and it was 75% rice, barely any veggies, and didn't taste as good. Really disappointed won't be ordering again. A waste of $50, I had to eat something else read more

This place is so good it almost convinces me to be vegan. Our waiter Eli was so great and made fantastic recommendations. The udon noodles with truffle is to die for. Went here for vegetarian vegan food based on positive reviews on Google Maps. Disappointing experience. The crispy rice comes with 5 small pieces. Definitely is not a flavor bomb. It wasn't crispy. It was tooth-shattering hard. It was as if they took the bits of rice stuck to the walls of their rice pot/rice cooker that has already dried out and hardened, mixed it with a bit of softer rice then over fry it. Crispy rice should not be causing dental issues. $15.75 for potential dental work. Each piece is about the size of a quarter. The spicy tuna roll...sushi rice not well seasoned if at all,pre rice than filling, knife work...this also cost $15.75, but the staff can't even cut it into even sizes. Every single piece is different height/thickness. The fillings were very noticeably unevenly filled. Flavors were lacking and dull as was texture. Lettuce wrap...this was such a disappointment. The lettuce leaves were dirty. There were white specks on the leaves that just integrates at touch. And you see soil on some leaves. The dish is poorly executed. Served with small Romain lettuces, bad choice. The leafy part was too short, the center vein was in the way, making it hard to fold horizontally or vertically. Crispy noodles are basically rice noodles fried then slightly broken up. Some threads are long. Some are short. Noodles don't sit well on the lettuce or larb. Just falls out as you bite into the chaotic mess of a wrap. The filling of the larb is choppy which is fine but the topped herbs were too large for the choppy, minced ingredients, making it hard to combine with larb and wrap into the lettuce. Nuoc Cham: flavor wasn't horrible but like nuoc cham is used as a dip, there should be enough liquid for one to dip the wrap in. There wasn't. It's just a flat plate of sauce with very little liquid. Maybe it's intended as a saucy paste. Use a different serving ware! Portion: there is more filling and noodles than lettuces. They give you 4 tiny leaves, 4! Also, it's a called Thai lettuce wrap... but served with a Vietnamese nuoc cham. Love both cuisine but maybe use the Thai name of the sauce. Flavors were not harmonious, presentation is subpar, rice for sushi and crispy rice (inside) were mushy, maybe a little less water so it's more al-dente. Would not recommended anyone who's looking for a a balanced food experience. The booths were dirty with food scraps. The POS also defaulted to 22% tip on the machines. Min. is 20% on the POS. read more

everything was absolutely delicious! spaghetti carbonara and the bao slider were my favorites of the bunch. the burger (patty is homemade) and truffle & parmesan fries were good but the burger itself wasnt packed with too much flavor. i was also lucky enough to try the "lych please" and "kombucha mojito" and enjoyed them both (though if you're wondering, my favorite was the lych please!). all of the workers were kind and friendly and the place itself/ambiance was stunning! i was very glad i chose this place for my birthday dinner(: hope to be back soon. read more

When giving my boyfriend his menu marked up with things that WERE available to eat with his gluten allergy, the bang bang broccoli was left on the menu. Also after double checking with the waiter that it would be gluten free, it was not. Causing my boyfriend to get extremely ill when we left the restaurant. Servers should throughly understand the menu especially when marking it up SPECIFICALLY with those who have serious allergens. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning. read more

From the moment we entered the hostess' were both very kind and welcoming. Our waitress Mayah was super attentive and had great knowledge about the menu. She gave great recommendations. She continuously checked in with us throughout dinner. Furthermore, other members of the staff also checked in which was really nice. The hostess Jada also checked in with us and gave a great recommendation from the menu as well. The ambiance isvery beautiful. We will definitely be back. Really cute decor- great service. The cocktails were great, excited to have a new vegan spot in the area. We tried the grilled avocado truffle roll (9/10) the bang bang broccoli (9/10) the eggplant unagi (7/10) the spicy rigatoni (7.5/10) the leek and mushroom pizza (6/10) was lacking a bit in flavor, vegan cheese really needs to have that lemony// lactic acid element for it to carry the flavor which I felt like this was lacking. The dough itself was good so I hope they improve the pizza. We also tried the Carbonara (3/10) which was a hard miss, it was seriously lacking in flavor and was in desperate need of salt. After trying some amazing pastas at crossroads kitchen in LA I hope planta can step up some of their flavor profiles. Otherwise I would totally recommend. read more

Great food, nice service. They were accommodating when we wanted to move to a booth. Apparently you can call and reserve specific tables which I have never done. I would definitely go back- the Thai lettuce wraps and vegan sushi were delicious! (And I'm defo not vegan) read more
