I ordered the Good for the soul platter. First issue was there was no silverware in my bag. I go back inside the coop to ask for silverware. An EXTREMELY rude worker not affiliated with Plant soul told me that he didn't want to give me silverware because it wasn't his job and walked away. I understand that they don't control the behavior of the order takers, but that was unreasonable. Ok the food;... the chicken was those dried out chicken nuggets that you get from any supermarket. They tasted of burnt oil. The collard greens were so salty that they weren't edible. The mac and cheese along with the candied yams were tasty and the reason that I didn't get a lower rating. The cornbread was good enough. Reminded me of jiffy from my non vegan days. No super moist, but not bad. My suggestion is to lighten up on the salt on the collard greens and if you are selling chicken nuggets list it as nuggets. I would have ordered something else. read more

I read the reviews and decided to try this place. Disappointed in the food. The greens were bland and not cut up well and just had lots of pepper no flavor. The corn dish was way too salty. The Mac and cheese was ok. The yams also ok. Also this is a multi restaurant "cooking place" where they cook for several "front" restaurant foods... so if you're dissatisfied and didn't order through a delivery service you have no recourse as an unsatisfied customer. i'm so so disappointed with my order from soul vegan. i was very excited for a vegan specialized restaurant, since most regular kitchens have a hard time making flavorful and delicious vegan meals. unfortunately, soul vegan wasn't any of that. the seasonings/flavor were strange (why was there so much fennel in and on everything), the alfredo tasted nothing like alfredo at all (vegan alfredo is amazing when done right) and it was incredibly overpriced for what it's worth. i couldn't even finish anything but the fries. the flavor was just that bad... pretty much inedible. made me nauseous the rest of the day, too i'm willing to pay 60 dollars for a lunch when it's great food, but this wasn't even close. fries were good though just save your money folks!! read more

So good. Maybe the best vegan Mac n cheese I've ever had. My husband said he liked it better than any vegan restaurant we ever ate at in NYC (where we're from) and we ate at some amazing spots. Literally some of the best vegan food in this area. It's worth the price. They give you SO much food. Mine lasted two days from one plate.

I wanted to support this business but unfortunately I paid $30 and couldn't finish the meal because it was too salty. The greens were seasoned okay but everything else was too much salt. It's sad because it is flavorful! I did the jerk *chicken* meal. I wasn't impressed with the lemon cake either. The cornbread was great! I won't be back but at least I tried it once. I had a impromptu event coming up that I needed catering for. I had so much going on that I completely forgot to make those reservations in a timely manner. I found Soul Vegan on yelp, so I decided to give them a call to see if they are available to cater my event which was for the next day. I spoke to a really sweet, helpful lady, Deja, who was very gracious enough to cater my event for the next day even though that there was less than 24 hours notice. She was very clear and transparent that there may be a chance for this wouldn't happen, and though I understood, I was really appreciative of how willing they were to cater for the next day. my food was set for pick up the next afternoon, and it was deliciously prepared. the mac and cheese was really creamy and mixed well with the sweet candied yams. the greens were a nice spicy to go with the chicken. truthfully, I really enjoyed this. read more

I've been wanting to visits this place for a while. The food was excellent. I ordered the delicious Beyond Soul Burger and fries. I'm not sure how I ate the entire burger but I enjoyed every bite and it was well worth the price. Even the fries were good (so many fries I couldn't eat them all). The concept of the restaurant was new and now that I understand how it works (it's takeout); I won't be expecting to sit down which is great for me. The other two meals I ordered were enjoyed by family members all said they would order again (Cajun shrimp pasta and Good 4 the soul).
