Had an amazing brunch experience here. My friend has wanted to go for a while now so we stopped in and had a very tasty brunch. Service was fast. 5min wait for a table. Hostess was super accommodating and made sure our table was perfect. Our server was incredible. Answered all of our questions about various food items, and made some stellar recommendations. I discovered Plated Dreams when they first opened by seeing a video come across social media. The location itself looked BEAUTIFUL, so I knew I had to check it out. I asked a friend to come along, and she brought her daughter. When we arrived, it was even better than we could have imagined! The service was wonderful. The waitress we had was very sweet. I ended up getting a burger and a desert, both of which were incredible! The burger was possibly one of the best burgers I've had. It was juicy, and fresh. I ended up coming back a few months later to celebrate my birthday with friends! I got the same burger (it was too good not to!) There are so many fun photo ops for you to take while you're there. It is on the pricier side, but worth it for the experience AND food! I plan on bringing my grandmother at some point when she comes in from Texas. Get the lavender latte - Love love love. Delicately floral but not overwhelming with each sip. The banana pear pancake was good. The sweet breakfast brunch kind of dish. Though I didn't taste or see pear pieces at all which it's in the title so I was expecting it. Maybe they ran out? Going for savory? I wear all black....I am walking Halloween year round, so walking into this pink floral restaurant was a little bit of a shock. BUT, its really quite beautiful and I can see why so many woman were there having food together. My boyfriend got the french toast. the plating was like something out of a magazine. And it was equally tasty. It was delicious. I got the Croque Madam - This plate is huge, I could only finish half but the boyfriend also ate some, he loved it. The hashbrowns were so damn good...they actually season them which makes a world of difference. the croque was big and hearty, lots of ham and gravy. Overall, it was great. Plated Dreams (PD) is an instagramer's paradise. Right when you walk in, you are immediately glamorized by the aesthetically pleasing decor. Every corner and furniture selection was carefully chosen to meet the pink, green, and gold color palette. Loaded Cajun Remoulade Fries - $10: This dish was generously portioned and was a crowd favorite among our table. The only feedback I have is that the fries were a bit too soggy and it was spicy at all. If the dish is intended to have cajun spices, then it should have a bit of heat to it. Personally, I am not a huge fan of extreme spicy foods, but this dish didn't have the little kick I was expecting in a cajun dish. Chef's Benedict - $16 + smoked salmon $6: This dish comes with two English muffins with perfectly poached eggs. I requested for the add-on of smoked salmon and the portion was very generous. The Canadian bacon was thick and had a nice light smokiness. The only feedback I would have is to add more lemon juice or dijon mustard to the hollandaise sauce. The sauce had a savory buttery consistency but it needed a little something to cut through the richness. Peaches and Cream Matcha - $6.50: This drink comes only as an iced drink. I love being surprised by flavor combinations. I have to say peach and matcha goes together pleasantly well. Yummy! I'm used to the classic iced matcha and strawberry flavor pairing but the peach is a great change. If you didn't like matcha before because you are weary of the "grass-like" after taste, I would recommend giving this one a try. Dirty Chai - $7.50: This chai was not shy of spices. Most chai lattes that I have tasted are usually muted by the milk. PD's version is nicely spiced with notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. Overall, I would return to PD if I needed to host a special event (e.g. Bridal Shower, Baby shower, Mother's Day, Birthday, Easter). I've been to quite a few brunch spots in the valley that have prioritized aesthetics over food quality. PD has decent quality food mixed with beautiful decor. However, please keep in mind that the prices are quite high. Expect to pay around $20+ a person if you order a meal and a drink. Would you go? Let me know. Had a lovely brunch here today with three other expectant moms and the location and interior were perfect for our needs! We were provided a booth along with two well-padded chairs which we appreciated!! The interior decor and design is so well done, and cozy/girly overall. Literally such a cute spot for a bridal lunch or baby shower brunch!! The menu was well laid out without too many options to become overwelmong. I ordered the Croque Madam which was more than sufficient in size. The sourdough bread, albeit tasty, was a bit on the soggy side, as though it had been waiting for service too long, which was the downside. There was also a nutmeg seasoning of sorts sprinkled on top of the egg/bechanel sauce, which I don't remember reading about in the menu, that was a bit strong for my liking. However, the egg was cooked well, and the side of house potatoes were the perfect texture to accompany my runny egg and sourdough toast. My orange juice was just plain juice, so the price on that (almost $5) did come across to me as too high. I assumed since the other drinks were all looking so pretty that for the price of the juices they would dress them up with a slice of fruit or mint leaves, but it tasted like just a glass of plain, store bought juice. Our server Arrabelle was super attentive and kind, as well as quick in splitting our party of four's bill. She was on top of our needs at all times throughout the meal and very pleasant to work with. There was no hostess, and the servers just kept checking in and seating people. Our server was ok, she wasn't the best and my experience here was nothing to rave about. The food was ok, some of it good and some bad. I went with my friend and her bf. He ordered the peaches & cream matcha with almond milk and liked it. My friend ordered the raspberry lavender lemonade, it comes with edible glitter which was pretty. The lemonade itself tastes like it's out of a bottle, not fresh at all. The orange juice is also not fresh squeezed. This was disappointing to hear. The iced tea was ok, had a strange flavor and didn't taste fresh brewed either. I ordered lemons for my ice tea, and at the end when I paid is when I find out that they charge for lemon slices. And the server charged me for 2 when I only got one measly lemon slice that looked like it was already half used. Very disappointing and poor customer service on this part, I've never been to any restaurant that charges for lemon slices. I ordered the eggs Benedict with the breakfast potatoes. The hollandaise sauce was good and the poached eggs cooked perfectly. I like how toasted the English muffin was too. The breakfast potatoes need some work, they lacked flavor and seasoning. Even simple salt would have helped these come to life more. My friend got the French toast and liked it. You get a good amount of French toast. Her bf ordered the deep fried monte Cristo and it was horrible. It was mostly just thick bread under the batter. He ended up deconstructing it, just to find out there was barely any meat on it. Disappointing to just try and serve someone something that's all bread and no meat. The side of hashbrowns that they ordered were crispy but again, no seasoning or salt at all. I don't know that I would return. There's other places with way better service and food, like hash kitchen- whose decor is just as cute and fun. And the service there is way better. Service was under par. I went as a party of 2 and we were seated a little past 11:00AM and ordered our food 10 minutes later. At 12:30PM our waitress told us our APPETIZER was barely going into the oven! We got our food finally at 12:45 and left the restaurant a little after 1PM. The food wasn't anything I haven't had before. I got the creamy mushroom chicken. The creamy mushroom part was tasty. The broccoli was unseasoned like from a frozen bag and the mashed potatoes had no taste as well. One thing I'd recommend; SEASONING! I really do want this place to do well and I know they can. First of all, what even is a "Plated Dream"? Right away I'll admit that everything from the name to the decor of this restaurant has felt completely cringe to me, but I decided to give it two chances and do my best to fairly articulate the experience. As you can see from my profile, I'm massively grouchy about the lack of quality dining experiences in Bountiful so I desperately want something new and fresh here to succeed, and Plated Dreams has a few things going for it: 1 - Pastries and croissants from Fillings & Emulsions, including hot croissants! 2 - It's open on SUNDAY! 3 - They have a liquor license and serve brunch cocktails! Things that Plated Dreams DOES NOT have going for it: 1- The most obnoxiously over the top aesthetic, from the name and logo with butterflies to the vomit of pepto bismal pink coating every surface of the establishment to the abundant overuse of faux flowers. This place is an absolute assault on the eyes. 2 - All the signs with 'rules' enforced by one of the salty owners who stands like a sentinel at the host desk. 3 - The Stepford-like demographic obsessed with documenting every moment for social media. (No, the irony of what i'm doing here on Yelp is not lost on me, but we weren't here for selfies.) Let me elaborate. On one hand, the owners seemed to know their audience, and the Utah fashion influencer/ blogger demographic is who they targeted. By 9am on Saturday morning, it's at capacity with hair extensions, false eyelashes, duck lips and peace sign poses. As my friend who bravely dined with me stated, Plated Dreams is simply too reliant on aesthetics. Most patrons seem to be afflicted with the same. Now to the food - it's refreshing to see a Davis Co. restaurant offer a different menu - and with brunch, lunch and dinner seemingly available all day. The plating of the meal is beautiful. But flavor was hit and miss. The Monte Cristo sandwich was a decadent stand out. The short ribs had nicely prepared polenta and grilled veggies, but a good portion of the ribs were pure fat. The flatbread lacked salt and tasted a bit stale, if i'm being honest. The goat cheese balls were the most bizarre item, rolled in something fried and crunchy, placed on a vinegary tomato jam that was simply too tart and inedible. Against the already tart goat cheese, it was too much. The goat cheese had no depth of herbs or other flavors. I'm quite certain it was Costco goat cheese rolled up and fried. Sliced green apples and a strange savory lime gel dotted the plate. We tasted everything, but didn't really eat. Beautiful, but bizarre. I cannot end this review without commenting on all the unwelcoming rules of this restaurant. Before even opening the door, there are signs about no outside beverages, and warnings about consent to being filmed. There's a strange statue of a butler in the waiting area with a warning sign about touching it. One young diner stated that it was scary and she was right. Also scary is the owner stationed at the front desk who approached waiting customers to let them know their table was ready, only to admonish them that they would not be seated until their entire party arrived. Finally, the menu prominently states that dining time is limited to 90 minutes. Before our time was up though, our eyes were completely overstimuated, and our palates were disappointed. We were ready to go. Since it's the only convenient option around here for F&E pastries on sunday morning, I'll probably pop in for those and a chai to go. Judging by the constant stream of gift bags, party favors, and Valentine's celebrations though, it seems Plated Dreams is for photo ops first and food is just an afterthought. Finally, with such an affinity for signage and notifications, I found it ironic that Fillings & Emulsions is not given credit for most (if not all?) of the desserts and pastries here. It should be prominently stated on the glass case and on the menu that these items are sourced from F&E. Acclaimed Chef Adalberto deserves the credit for giving me any reason at all to come back here. read more

An absolutely beautiful theme and styling, with lovely peonies, roses and amazing tile work all over with fun neon signs of quotes and a telephone booth surrounded with more flowers, perfect for photos. While the design and vibe of the place was stellar, the food and service left a bit to be desired, the dishes where rather worthy of some food pics, the taste was rather lacking, not awful by any means of course but same goes for the service, not awful but not great, depending on how busy it is, expect to be abandoned time to time by you're waiter. Overall I would describe Plated Dreams as a perfect place for photos and decent service. Very instagrammable vibes. I had the same server both times and she was lovely and attentive. The wait to be seated was a little long but they prepared us for this when we checked in. My only criticism: while we were waiting to be sat one of the girls I was with was told "no outside drinks" while she held a plastic water bottle. We are all visibly pregnant.
