Was there at the airport and at 7:30 out of several things. They open at 5:00 am. so that attests to how popular this place is. It was a very enjoyable breakfast. I had the eggs Benedict poutine. Very tasty. The spinach was a nice touch. I can't remember what my wife had but she enjoyed it. The service was quick enough. I would definitely eat here again. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
Gourmandise is a great restaurant/bakery, and I'm happy to see it at the SLC airport! For an airport spot, the food is genuinely good and feels closer to a real cafe than all of the grab-and-go options. They have a great selection of pastries and baked goods, plus real meals! I went with the Curry Chicken sandwich, which was a huge upgrade from the plastic-wrapped sandwiches you can get at every airport market. The croissant on my sandwich was fresh and flaky, and tasted very much like one I'd order at the downtown location. The service is generally friendly, and the waitress checked on me a couple times to make sure everything was good. When I went to grab a pastry & drink for the flight, everything looked fully stocked and the person at the register was super nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The airport, and thus this location, is essentially brand new, so it's no surprise that Gourmandise is bright, modern, and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you sit toward the back, you can almost forget that you're at an airport. Or, you can sit toward the front & get some great people-watching in while you eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great space, kind people, fresh food. I asked the listless counter lady THRICE for oat milk (since I'm lactose intolerant and didn't want to s**t my pants on the plane). She ignored me the first two times then lied to me after I saw her pouring real milk into my latte. I didn't have time to argue with this woman, so I had to dump the drink on the way to my gate after tasting it to confirm it was obviously cow milk. Wish me luck!
I usually come here to get something a little healthier - the Hearty Cobb Salad is my go to and a beer. Great salad, nice pastries and a nice spot to get a beer as well. Pro tip for beers in Utah- get the cans, they have a higher ABV than the beers on draft. I think they cap the ABV on draft beers at 5%.
Stopped here before my flight early in the morning, the girls at the counter were really nice. I got a ham and cheese croissant and a chai latte. Both were out relatively timely, and the ham and cheese croissant was delicious. The croissant itself was so flaky and soft. The coffee was pretty good, but the chai was very strong. Almost to the point of being spicy. But it was still really good. Overall, the prices were decent but expected from airport prices.

Deep chocolate flavor that's a little on the sweet side, but perfect for chocoholics.

We were looking to pick up some treats to eat on our flight home, passing over a couple of places in Terminal A that looked interesting since we figured that Terminal B would have some nice options. After passing shop after shop by, finding nothing of interest and losing hope, we were thankful to find Gourmandise, a full service diner with a nice selection of baked goods, conveniently located in Terminal B near our gate. We stopped in to try a couple of the pastries: Pecan Kouign Amann ($4.95) - Other than a somewhat glass-like crisp on the top, this pastry isn't really particularly layered resulting in an interior that's more similar to a brioche than a croissant. It's topped with pecans and a sprinkle of cinnamon, and has plenty of pecans baked inside, giving an additional crunchy nutty element. The pastry isn't too sweet at all and I don't believe they sprinkle any salt on the top. (4/5) Sweet Cream Cheese Pochette ($1.95) - This is essentially a puff pastry wrapped around a cream cheese center. The pastry kind of collapses, possibly due to excess moisture, so the layers don't really make themselves known. It tastes very plain, not especially buttery, kind of the on the doughy side. It's also not very sweet, which is well appreciated. (3/5) Almond Horn w/ Chocolate ($2.95) - This kind of reminds me of an almond marzipan and a macaroon smashed together. It's baked until the interior is moist and chewy, but quite sticky against the teeth. Gourmandise has both a chocolate dipped version and one without - I went with the chocolate dipped, which adds even more sweetness to an already sweet dessert. (4/5) Gourmandise serves some pretty good pastries, especially for a place inside an airport. I would certainly revisit any time I'm flying from SLC.
Gourmandise at SLC airport is a great stop! The beef brisket grilled cheese is a must-try while traveling and way better than your typical airport food.
Our server was awesome, he had great customer service and good recommendations. Prices seem comparable with other locations but portions seemed smaller, specifically the desserts. Nevertheless, we like their location in SLC so it was nice to have this option at the airport. Tomato soup wasn't good, and the blueberry loaf cake was tough, I wouldn't get those again. Everything else was good.

I come to this airport often and to this restaurant often. Jennifer has been bartending here for years and makes delicious drinks! The chef in the back figrid I believe has also been here for years. I'm typically not even flying in this side of the airport but I make it a point to come here. The food taste a lot better than the restaurant in downtown Salt Lake. It's fresher and more flavorful. The service is always great and friendly. This is the bar to go to in the airport hands down. read more
Service was great. Ana was very sweet. I ordered the stew which was decent. It was pretty sweet which I prefer savory over sweet with my stews. My daughter got the pasta. The pasta was good but the salmon had a bad fishy taste. read more

This must be pastry Heaven?! I am a huge pastry connoisseur so I needed my fix and this hit the spot! As a girl with a sweet tooth my heart skipped a beat when I saw their pastry and dessert case! Gourmandise offers beautifully baked and displayed goodies of all different kinds; cakes, cookies, eclairs, croissants, tarts, breads, and other sweet treats are all waiting to be devoured. To my surprise the prices are crazy reasonable which was a nice change from the way things have been in the food industry lately. The lady behind the case was very friendly and patient as we took our time picking out what we wanted. We ended up with some cookies, a lemon tart and an eclair that were all delicious. Along with our sweets we also enjoyed a ruben and a French dip with fries. The French dip was excellent and the ruben was pretty good but nothing to write home about. Our waiter was jolly and knew the menu quite well. He was on top of our drinks and made sure we left full and happy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is not very big but they get as many people in as they can. Great find in the SLC airport with some healthy and unique breakfast choices as well as a nice variety of baked goods and breakfast pastries. I had the veggie hash and it was really good. I look forward to visiting many more times when at the airport and trying some of the other great breakfast options as well. read more
I'm always quite sad passing all the food spots that are in the A terminal, as there is hardly anything in B terminals. Today I noticed gourmadise, and it came in clutch. They of course have lots of pastries, but it's a full service cafe, as well as some breakfast options available in line. I got a breakfast burrito which of course was super expensive at $12, but it was decently sized and came with a lot of honeydew, cantaloupe, and pineapple. The burrito did unfortunately have basically no meat. It was 80% egg, but can't complain too much when it's 6am in the airport read more

A word of caution before you dine at this Gourmandise--the experience may change your expectation of airport food forever, to the detriment of all the other airport establishment. A full-service French restaurant inside the terminal with good service, great-tasting food, and price that's not exorbitant is hard to imagine, but it's not beyond the scope of vision for the restaurateurs. The French toast was luxurious borderline on decadent (in a good way), and my croissant sandwich was buttery and delightful. It was a satisfying to enjoy such fine dining right before boarding the flight. Arrive at the terminal early and give yourself plenty of time to soak in the experience. read more
Truly one of the BEST eggs Benedict I've ever had! Shocking for an airport restaurant- but it was delicious. Overall I had a great experience here - my server was delightful and my wait was brief. They do get busy frequently though and the wait can get long, so I wouldn't recommend if you're short on time for a flight. They have a large breakfast and pastry menu. I've had their pastries in the past and they've all been excellent. This time I needed a more hearty start to my day so I went with their unique eggs Benedict and was blown away! Theirs comes with local bacon, hollandaise, poached eggs of course, and sits on top of some polenta and wowww - it was phenomenal! The flavors are so complimentary with a lot of depth, poached eggs were cooked perfectly, and the accompanying sautéed spinach and tomato was fabulous. I'll definitely be having this every time I'm passing through SLC - Highly recommend! For my drink I had a hot vanilla latte that was also excellent. My server was so sweet and attentive - very efficient service. This bakery has several locations around Utah and has won numerous awards - and I can see why. It surprises me they have a location in the airport haha! Entering is a tad chaotic - there are two lines, one for the to-go bakery/coffee side and one for dine in and the to-go side is always super busy. But once I got to my table, it quieted down a bit and the vibe was fairly relaxed. My table had an entertaining view of the main entrance for the B gates and also a plug for charging! All around great experience- will definitely return! read more

If you're lucky enough to be in Concourse B at SLC airport, stop by Gourmandise for their yummy pastries and coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their To Go service is quick, although there's no space to sit and eat UNLESS you're dining in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My pain au chocolat was excellent, as was my Caramel Macchiato. If I were in the area again, I would definitely arrive early to sit and enjoy a delicious lunch here. read more

I walked across terminals to get here!!! Felt like a mile but the recs from locals to try this place had me going. I was so happy to finally see Gourmandise and plopped my bags down in their dining area. They have a right side for to go and a bar area and a left side for dining in. Ahem bar? Amazing. It's always 5 o clock at the airport! Service was quick and easy after getting seated from the hostess. My receipt says Maria but it was a dude with dark hair and he was great! Came on a Saturday morning before 10am which is when they stop breakfast I think, so hustle over for brekkie! Drink: - Traditional Macchiato$3.75 - great cup of coffee dose, just need an added shot - Raspberry Tart$6.95 - this pastry was ok, it had a nice crust and cream filling with fresh fruit, I was recommended the Kouign Amann after I ordered so now I have regrets - Avocado Toast-DI$9.90, Add poached eggs - AMAZING super fresh and filling, not sure if I was supposed to get two toasts but this is the most worth it avocado toast I've had in my life I'm used to just one toast for $13-$15 in Orange County!!! read more

This may be a spot for pastry lovers. It's located in terminal B of SLC airport and the display of various pastries was what drew me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A bit busy place with a long line.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The fruit tart with custard cream was pretty good- light flavored which is catered to my taste buds. Almond horn is a sweet and has very nice texture. This cafe is full service so, if you're looking for brunch, this might be a good option inside the airport. We had to wait a long time to board our plane so we decided to walk around the terminal just to see what shops they had, and places to eat. (Which wasn't much... Who designed this new airport!) After grabbing some lunch we walked by Gourmndise and immediately I "said I need a coffee and one of those pretty pastries." They were busy, and had quite a long line as expected, since there isn't much as far as food options go in this terminal, but I didn't mind waiting. I got their Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Cake for $8.80. My mouth was watering just waiting to take the first delicious bite. Ugg what a disappointment. This little mousse cake was so dried out, and crumbly I couldn't eat it. I'm glad I had my coffee to wash it down. Despite their lovely display, the decadent chocolate cake at $8.80 missed the mark. read more

Located in terminal B of the SLC airport, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. There is plenty of comfortable seating and enough room for your carry on. At first, I was skeptical, because all I saw was desserts in the display case and prepackaged items. But I came in and tried the restaurant. They also have a full bar. Pretty much, they have it all. I ate the Cobb salad which was loaded and large. I also had an iced tea. My total bill was $21. What a deal for the airport with fresh food. Ok I'm eavesdropping on the guy next to me. He had steak, asparagus and a glass of water. It looked fab. His total bill was $25. I have paid more for so much less at the airport! My server was wonderful and efficient. She told me it gets too loud because of the bar patrons. I think that's to be expected at the airport. Anyway, I highly recommend this restaurant if you happen to be at the SLC airport. read more

This review is for the fruit tartlette. Looks wayyy better than it tastes. It's so cute and pretty but one bite in, I was really disappointed in how bland the puff pastry tasted. Not buttery at all. The custard on top was lacking in flavor and depth. Minimal egg yolks used. Not much custard so you are mostly getting the plain and flavorless puff pastry. The fresh fruit on top was the only thing that tasted good. Not worth $8. read more
Prime rib was delicious. Bread was fresh. The au jus was not too salty. Brussels sprouts were crunchy and soft. Aoli added great flavor. Brownie was nothing special. Sweet. Warm. But no ice cream. Service was not friendly. Not engaged. read more

Started out cranky because of the long wait to be seated, then my turn -- hostess informed me the restaurant was full. I stood there in dismay as I could see available seating. She disappeared and a server offered me a bar type seat between 2 other ladies. I agreed. Glad I did. She brought my drink order, a Latte, fast. My food also came out quickly. To my surprise (especially at airport restaurant) there was a generous amount of fresh, COLD, fruit. I already ate some, before I remembered to take pic. The croissant was fluffy as expected from a bakery, the eggs and bacon were cooked well. Lots of avocado. Overall yummy. I was so pleased that I ordered another Latte TO GO. And a mini chocolate croissant for later. Uf. FULL. My only gripe is the barstool seating that I accepted. Not comfortable for a long wait for flight. Wish I would've held out for a padded bench seat. read more

My expectations for airport food are very low, and Gourmandise exceeded them. I'm not sure how someone reading this review could interpret that, so let me break it down further. Pros: I was able to sit in the restaurant portion and they did not rush me at all. I was put next to an outlet upon request. It was nice to have a sit down meal while waiting for takeoff and they had a nice menu selection. I liked my fries. I didn't get any dessert, but their dessert options were on point! Cons: The French onion soup had very little flavor. Service would have been a problem if I were in a rush (since they were understaffed), since it took a long time to order. As a vegetarian (clearly a mediocre one, since I got French onion soup. I own that) there weren't a ton of options. Overall, this place did the trick in the moment. I'm not sure if I'd seek it out again. Still, you could definitely do way worse in terms of airport food! read more
I used the walk up part but there is a full service side too. The ambiance was very casual and modern. Wes was my cashier and he was just so nice. I ordered the avocado toast. It came on a fresh hot baguette sliced with a thick layer of avacado topped with some very delicious cherry tomatoes and some greens. I loved it and loved how soft the bread was and how fresh everything tasted. 10/10 read more

I walked up and down the terminal and this menu hit my tastebuds, more so they had a giant sweets selection but was looking for a meal and I liked the options. Ordered some brussel sprouts which the person next to me was eating. Looked delicious and also seen multiple orders come out which says something. They are a tasty bite. Pasta with butternut squash was my entree. Added the grilled chicken which I would recommend. Visually thought this meal was small in size but the long noodles added up quick. Grilled chicken just fell apart and had good flavor. I would have liked to see more squash, the tiny cut up cubes I could barely taste unless I just had taken a bite of it. Pasta was good. The sauce makes the dish. Wish I had more noodles or chicken to clean it up. Had a hazelnut cheesecake for dessert. It's a cold first bite coming out of the display cooler. But was a good way to top off my meal. Wanted to give three stars but my server asked to see my ID when I handed him my credit card. I have written on the back "check photo id" and always give extra kudos when people notice and ask. Thank you. read more

Visited Utah for the first time and on our last day there was a snow storm. To avoid missing our flight, we went to the airport 4 hours in advance and decided to check out Gourmandise. For an airport restaurant, food was great! We ordered the French Dip, French Onion Soup, their Rasberry mule and glass of Pinot Noir. The texture of the bread for the French Dip was great and delicious with their au jus sauce. We got chips and fries for our sides and both were great. The herb aioli that came with the pomme frites was alright though. Make sure you check out their pastries at their bakery afterwards! read more
