Location 4 stars: In the Fairfax District area of Los Angeles, to the East of the original Farmer's Market. The Grove has a huge but very busy parking structure, so while you may have to journey to the upper levels, you will eventually find parking. Although some restaurants will validate part of the parking fees, be prepared to pay somewhere between $10 and $30 depending on how long you stay and which stores you visit. Their validation rules are fairly complex and not straightforward, so be sure to read all the fine print. They also have Valet parking on premises. Venue 4 stars: Nice modern open air set up with a Nordstrom, Zara and H&M and a bunch of smaller stores, an AMC movie theater, a Barnes and Noble, a Cheesecake Factory, and a variety of coffee shops and restaurants to fit most tastes and budgets. One catch being that the Grove parking lot cannot be validated by the Farmers Market stores and vice versa. Once you are on premises you can use the trolly to move from one end of the venue to the other. Also keep in mind that the Original Farmers Market is literally next door and attached to the Grove, which dramatically increases your food options.

If we stop supporting businesses with predatory parking fees, they will realize that losing customers isn't worth it. This is a HUGE 2 story mall with escalators and elevators operating just fine. With clean restrooms, stores, and great service. I went into Macy's and was looking for an outfit to buy for an upcoming wedding. Looked around, but couldn't find anything that captured my eye/attention. Later, went to Zara, one of their most iconic, expensive stores. They have many stores from Bloomingdales, to Macy's to Nordstrom, Louis Vuitton, Sephora, Diesel, Roberto Cavalli, Bath & Body Works, Tiffany & Company, and a lot more. Just to name a few. All associates that I dealt with were very helpful, nice and professional. They no longer have the big Food court. They do have sporadic snack shops inside, but there are a few restaurants on the ground floor, such as H&H Steakhouse, Nicolas Eatery, and ABSteak. Some chain spots such as Starbucks and Wetzel's Pretzel are also available. Parking surprised me with their fair prices. They have a parking garage, rates are very inexpensive and affordable. There eating area is spacious with tables are cleared and wiped quickly. The outdoor dining are was closed the day we went. The supermarket is huge, organized and has the viral fruit-shaped ice cream that I adore, for $4.99 each. There's a Cake House bakery with mildly sweet Asian pastries and hot beverages. Their cakes are very expensive and beautiful. Cake slices are also sold. The mall has women's clothes, skin care, a bank, bookstore, children's toys, handbags and jewelry, and knick-knacks or collectibles. The large grassy lawn was perfect for spreading out a blanket and enjoying a picnic before the movie. They also provided complimentary popcorn and candy that evening for the event. My excuse to come back here was when I found out through the We Like LA website that there would be a cat themed event. In addition, I was able to park for free for the first 2 hours because the info booth at the event gave out validation tickets. Just make sure to put your actual ticket in first, then the validation ticket. I know the garage at Ovation does it in the reverse order, so I ended up struggling at the gate for a while just like the driver ahead of me. When I walked up the stairs, I could immediately hear the crowds of people and saw a long line to pet the cats provided by Kitty of Angels, but first I wanted to see what merchandise was there, so I spent a few minutes visiting the tables before finally getting in line. I think I spent an hour waiting only to spend 7 mins. petting the cats. I thought I'd have more time to at least see the new restaurants and shops at the complex, but then my 2 hours of free parking would've been up. I ended up leaving immediately after petting the cats and noticed that the family who were in line behind me did the same thing. As far as festivals go, this was in its infancy. There weren't that many merchandise tables, the food and restrooms were whatever was onsite, and the event was only 2 hours. I think it was for the sake of the cats. That being said, I got in line a little after the event started. I'm fairly sure the long line of people who came after me were turned away. I enjoyed my short time here since I got to visit a place I hadn't been to before, got to spend a little time petting animals, and there were freebies like a headband with cat ears and temporary tattoos. I'm going to make sure to keep a look out now for whatever events they may have coming up.

Be careful with the security guard don't know which one was on shift but it happened 07/31/2024…read morearound 5:40am I work with a cargo van and my gf comes along so I came here after my shift to go to the gym while my gf took a nap on the cargo area inside the van and not even 5 minutes later she calls me because the security guard was banging on the door screaming at her to wake up, because it is a "strict no sleeping zone" with no signs anywere to be seen saying that that is a rule, there is however a no overnight parking sign but we were there no more than 5 minutes before him peeking inside the cargo area of the van for no reason because she wasn't even visible from the time i was driving inside the parking lot and he also managed to leave a small scratch at the door he was banging probably with his gold car keys 20 minutes later I see a different guard when I explained he just said he would let him know but that the guard was probably just doing his job
