I can't believe it took me so long to get to Platinum. I had heard about it through friends and finally got in there for a blow-out. Hannah took care of me and....WOW. She made me look incredible. I have a TON of hair, I've NEVER had anyone work with my hair so confidently and efficiently. It only took her less than an hour to wash & condition (as well as a lovely essential oil added), blow dry and style in an amazing bombshell style. I literally got 3 days out of my style (even with this gnarly Vegas wind) with it looking fantastic even on the last day! What I also loved were the products Hannah used...nothing made my hair feel weighted down or greasy or dry. It had va-va-voom volume, but not because she teased the hell out of it... she somehow used her magic powers to coax my hair to do just as she commanded. Blow-drying this head of hair is the bane of my existence so I just might be forced to treat myself to once/week blow-outs...wickedly indulgent but SO worth it, and who wouldn't at only $35?! I never write reviews for anything ever, but I felt it would be an act of social service to write one for this god forsaken place. If I could put 0 or -5 stars, believe me, I would. Warning: STAY AWAY FROM HERE AND RUN AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE. The people here will not do what you are paying them to do, they will then gaslight you and victim blame you into thinking that what they did is what you asked them to do. If you don't want to be abused and robbed of your money--which will be a lot since they charge absurdly high prices for below par services--then stay away. If you want to be treated with RESPECT, then look elsewhere, because you'll be getting the opposite if you come here. I've been going to this place and have been a client of Todd's for years and I never had a complaint. He's been doing my color, extensions, and cuts since around 2016. I liked his work so much that I even got my mom to start coming here for the same services. He has always been good and attentive to our needs and performed accordingly. Until now. I went in for a simple haircut: straight-across, one-length cut with bangs. Simple enough, right? There's no way he could mess it up given his stellar record, right? Wrong. I noticed there was significantly more hair on one side of the bangs than on the other and I kindly brought it up to him only to be gaslighted and told that he didn't see what I was seeing and that both sides were equally as thick while anybody--not just a hairstylist--with good vision could tell that that was simply not true. While I am not usually one to push things, I kindly told him to please grab more hair from the other side to make both sides equally as thick because, mind you, this simple haircut is one that costs 90 DOLLARS. When a haircut costs as much as 90 dollars, it wouldn't be crazy to expect stellar services. Still stubbornly disagreeing, he did what I asked him to do and I left the salon happy with the results. This didn't last long. I got home only to take a closer look at my hair after the curls flattened to reveal that Todd had, in fact, completely ignored what I had asked him to do and cut the hair from the front shorter than the hair from the back. Because he had gaslighted me once already, I thought I should ask the people around me if they saw what I saw because I knew that if I were to bring up his mistakes to him that he would make some pathetic excuse to gaslight me and rob me of my money once again. So, I asked my grandmother in person if she saw my hair being of unequal length. Of course, she agreed. Then I took pictures and sent them to my mother and to my best friend. They all agreed, and I reached the conclusion that, yeah, I'm not crazy, my haircut was bad, and I was robbed out of my money. I called the following day and spoke to Donny and told him about my situation, requesting if Todd could fix my hair in a very polite manner. Donny came back to the phone after speaking to Todd and told me that Todd had said that he could never satisfy me, that I always complained, that he had double and triple-checked my haircut, and that if it bothered me so much then I should find another stylist. Abhorred with what I was hearing, I told Donny very firmly that I paid for a service for which I did not get what I wanted and that I wanted Todd to fix it since it was his mistake and that I had never once complained about Todd's work, otherwise I wouldn't be going back to him. Donny said Todd had said that he had double and triple-checked and that everything was good, so I told him that just because he said it, it doesn't mean it's true, to which he replied that the same could be said about me. Mind you, I am the wronged client here, the one who was robbed out of 90 dollars. I told him that my hair cut was simply not cut how I wanted it to be cut and that I needed Todd to fix it because it was his mistake, only to be told, "Well, Todd said he wouldn't do it, so you should look for another stylist." The entire exchange was not only rude, but it laid the blame on the victim and was an act of disrespect towards a client of many years. Needless to say, neither I or my mother will be coming back to this establishment and I will make sure none of my acquaintances and the good people of Yelp will be going anywhere near here. Karma will come back to haunt Todd and Donny because you don't get to gaslight people and get away with it. read more

Visited Platinum Entourage while in Vegas this past weekend for a wedding! I was greeted well and offered everything but a cocktail. I had to ask, which was fine, but that is definitely part of the experience. ;) I had Hannah and Kimberly. Awesome girls and very attentive and helpful. I wanted the chignon look which turned out great at the end and I loved it. At first I was a little freaked out to be honest. They teased my entire head. I have really fine hair and a lot of it so I knew that getting it out was going to be a problem. :( I think they could have got the look without teasing the whole thing. Let's just say I looked worse than a crazy 80's rocker. The guys weren't that friendly, but the girls were all great. I enjoyed the ambiance and decor, but it was a big place and unless it is packed with girls getting their hair done, it is a big warehouse feel. I would have liked a tour of the place. I wish I could Give ZERO stars honestly. I'm still trying to get over how horrible this place is. For being one of the top rated places, I'm shocked!!!!! First I would like to say Todd was amazing and that's about it. Let's start with the money issue. They quoted me a certain amount on the phone and when I got there, they quoted me another 100 on top of that amount. That is definitely not okay, and I'm very surprised I actually went through with it. But I DEFINITELY regret it. And the quality of service was NOT worth the amount I paid. But I thought it was fine because I was sooooo sure the service was going to be incredible. My hairstylist barely said a word to me the whole appointment, get some social skills. MY hairstylist KNEW I had very thin, dried out hair. She dyed my hair, wash it and blow dried it, then I guess it wasn't the right color SO she dyed it again and washed it and blow dried it again. Then it was time for some highlights, she then washed my hair and blow dried it AGAIN. Okay 3 times really ???? Let's fry my hair....Are you really licensed ???? Then she asked me if she could curl my hair at the end for her pictures. Sure. But she didn't even think to let me see my hair straight after my cut to make sure I liked it. So I asked her if I could see my hair before she curled it, while she was grabbing her curling iron. She replied yes. Turned me around and it was NOTHING I had asked her to do. I even had pictures I showed her. So she cut it again and by that time I was already upset and just wanted to leave. Oh yeah, I asked her while I was there how long my appointment was because it had already been 2.5 hours, and she wasn't even done with my highlights. she tells me she has me for 4 hours. I'm sorry, but nobody told me it was THAT long of an appointment. Half the time I was just sitting there and she was nowhere to be seen. How rude. And then while I'm getting my hair washed for the 3rd time there was 2 other hairstylist in the wash room with their clients, and wow, how caddy can these people be. Or should I say how unprofessional can these people be ??! They were talking bad about their previous clients and then how "ugly" is it when girls wear leggings and how "disgusting" it is. Talking about, the girls that wear leggings "need class". I felt very disrespected. these girls need to understand that they should really talk about those kind of things in private and not in front of people they DONT KNOW. Grow up. Clothes are just a material thing, but to have a true humble personality; these girls definitely don't have it, and it shows. I mean at this place when you walk into the room, there is no smiling, it's just dark and depressing there. Oh and btw when I got home, my bangs; the only part she highlighted, well they are fried. I went in there with an idea of the prices to get my highlights retouched. I'd just returned from doing aid work in Africa so my funds were limited...Then I got there and Jamie and the owner started fussing over my hair and recommending this and that. I was then told it would be $210. I said that was too much, just the highlights please without any conditioners. That's $140. Ok. Then Jamie said, "but just so you know if you need a toner after we can't do it as the $140 is highlights and highlights alone." Never in my life have I gone anywhere where they wouldn't throw in something a little extra to earn a new regular customer and a five dollar toner wouldn't have killed them. Jeez. So being still jet lagged and emotionally exhausted as I gotten home from Africa to find my abusive ex who I had kicked out had been jacking up my credit cards, neglecting my cat so bad it died in my arms, I was exhausted and started crying as I felt I was being squeezed for money I didn't have. The owner snips at me, "you need to calm down. There's customers here and you're making a scene". Wow. Heartless little jerk. If I ran any business and someone was crying, I would take a moment to comfort them and make them feel better. His coldness towards people and lack of compassion will not serve him in the long run. And a side note, the place was like a warehouse inside with terrible lighting and a very uncomfortable atmosphere. I'd personally go elsewhere but to each their own. Update- I did not raise my voice and demand discounts Todd. You know you're being untruthful by putting it that way. After your stylist Jamie told me that my $140 would be for highlights and highlights alone and that if I needed a toner it was basically implied that I would not be able to get one, my instant reaction was to put my head in my hands and start crying and that was when you came over and proceeded to read me the riot act. Trying to get someone to plunk down another $70 for a conditioning treatment is LUDICROUS. I learned many years ago a good hairdresser does not need to break the bank. The best stylist I ever had before she left town, was $90 for cut and color every two months. Granted, that was in about 2011. Let's allow for a little inflation to be fair. How does 5% a year sound? Heck, let's go for 10. That's an increase of $36. $126 for cut and color. I've already private messaged you about my other thoughts on stylists as a whole. I have had numerous terrible experiences in the 14 years I've been in this country and I'm going to say here what I private messaged you is that stylists overseas are put through a four year apprenticeships. Not just a wam Bam six-month course. I've had people fry my hair in this country I've been give me chemical hair cuts, I've been given less than satisfactory work numerous times. I can honestly tell you in my lifetime in my home country I never ever once went to a salon and had a bad experience. I'm speaking from a place that you cant understand. You haven't lived overseas in Australia, I have. Your stylists may very well be excellent and I'm not saying anything to the contrary all I'm simply saying is you need to try and use empathy in your business practices and not be so damned judgemental just because someone throws out a word here or there that you don't like. I've never had a salon not throw in a toner if needed at the end, just in the name of customer service and earning new business. I'm frustrated and sick of having bad hair dressers and I use a curse word every now and then. You don't???? Ever?? I'd say so...you're human, as am I. But I give back and make a difference in this world and at the end of the day that's all that matters. You were cold and insensitive and I stand by that. Domestic violence victims would do well to understand that this is not a salon that is compassionate to women that have been through such a thing as I have. I recently decided to venture out and try a new hair dresser which I haven't done in about 4 years and I was TERRIFIED because I am a platinum blonde. As most blondes know, blonde is an art and it isn't easy to come by someone who is amazing at it. I have been very fortunate as a platinum blonde to not have any breakage, burnt scalp or dry hair and was hoping that would remain when finding this place. I was able to get in within a few days and bye-bye roots and hello platinum blonde! Heather and Tanya are absolutely amazing!!! Tanya is Heather's full time assistant so I had two of them working on my hair which helped speed up the process. I was in and out in about 2 1/2 hours. I have never been given so many compliments on my hair. No breakage, burnt scalp or dryness. They are both very friendly and amazing at what they do. The salon is so chic and inviting and the entire staff is friendly and smiling. If you are a blonde looking for a hair dresser, look no further! Disclaimer: I did not get a blow-dry here. I have curly hair. I have thick hair. I have lots of it. I have lots of thick, curly hair. I suffered from triangle head. If you don't know what that is, you clearly do not have curly hair. An example of triangle head is the comic strip "Dilbert". Yeah, that's a gross exaggeration, but it gets the point across. So most stylists don't know how to manage lots of thick curly hair and they treat it just like they would straight hair. Many times over the years I've heard from stylists, "Oh yeah, I totally know what to do" and then gotten a cut and left miserable. Thankfully hair grows. My hair had gotten to the point that it needed a cut and some styling. I consult with several stylists and salons in the area. I consult with Todd and I have to give the man credit for calming my fears. Yes, I am very defensive about my hair because yes, I've had people mess it up horribly in the past. So I have this consult, we discuss curly hair and the physical composition and reactions to products and cuts, and I leave later with some more information to make a decision. A few days later, I call and make an appointment for a cut. I go in and meet with Todd and we go over again my fears, concerns, and the method for the cut. Curls are combed out and I look like circa 1970s Diana Ross. He then proceeds to cut my hair dry. Heads-up curly-haired ladies, this is a wise method! When the curly hair is cut dry, the stylist will know where your hair will fall once the cut is done. This is as opposed to someone cutting your hair wet and when it dries, it is now several inches shorter than you thought it would be because curly hair springs back and up when dry, since it no longer has the weight of the water. Simple physics! Seriously, I fell asleep in the chair sometimes. This is a good sign. This means I'm trusting the stylist. Kudos Todd. After the cut, I get a wash. Very pleasant scents. Now, to the moment of truth, the product application and the diffuse dry. Silhouette says... no more triangle head! The silhouette shows the layers and is rounded and the curls are all over the place (in a good way). My initial reaction is cautious because yes, it's going to take some time to get used to the change. Todd isn't offended by my not jumping up and down being excited, which kudos again, because some stylists are very arrogant and demand appreciation. All in all, I'm happy with the cut. There is no more triangle head and I didn't lose much length at all. I will be back in about three months for another cut. So curly haired ladies who have been horribly wronged in the past, I suggest gather information, get some consultations, and consider Platinum Entourage. Udpate 03/2012: Reception really needs to be trained here. I was told that I couldn't make an appointment over the phone (which I had done before) and that I *had* to make an appointment on through a third-party online booking service. What? You mean to tell me that you don't have acess to schedules and you don't have access to third-party online booking service so you, as the receptionist and appointment setter, can make appointments for clients? That's absolute crap. That lack of service will lead to lost business. read more

I've been going here for years and you really can't go wrong. They are all good but you should experiment with stylists to see who's best for you. I like them all but I love Angelo's consistency. He always tries to get the longest wear for me which I appreciate because I can't afford to come weekly. They turned me on to the best hair care ever: Davines! After a color disaster from my normal colorist, I began searching for a new salon and remembered the blow out salon I used to go to and looked them up. Platnium entourage had grown and like I remembered still fabulous. (I had stopped going since it was a drive for me). I relayed what had happened to my hair to the receptionist and he set an appointment. From the beginning they treated me like you would expect but rarely get, truly amazing. They began with a consultation, looking at pictures, discussing and taking care that we were on the same page before we got started. I was lucky enough to be worked on by Brandy who was amazing, as well as Todd (a sheer stroke of luck) the owner. After a very long process(thank you for staying so long!) of turning my dirty/gray blonde to a vibrant up to date Victoria secret angel color I can say I will never trust anyone else to do my hair.
