I rented a pair of chairs for my 4/17 wedding which was postponed until September due to Covid. Over the seven month course of the pandemic I was forced to relocate to the Mid West but still looking to travel back to Los Angeles in September for the wedding. Due to continued gathering restrictions, we were unable to host our wedding again. The event was canceled and I reached out to Imani to coordinate a refund or work out a way to still receive the products I paid for. The company requires a signed contract and full payment at the time you place the order (red flag number one) and touts a strict no refund policy but offers "one year of store credit". She also makes it very clear that this company only accepts rentals in Southern California and within 150 miles of their location- which legally renders the contract void under the doctrine of impossibility of performance. I sent an email asking to have the chairs shipped to my current location at a later date or have the $300 I paid refunded. My request to change the service was flatly ignored and I was told that her company was out of business for 3 months with no incoming sales and they still hadn't fully recovered from being out of business for 3 months. She said she have overhead and expenses that were still owed during the months they had no income and they were a small business trying to survive this pandemic and have no funds to refund over 100 canceled events. And prayed for my understanding I am so shocked that a business owner thinks that they are entitled to pocket the money of their customers to help themselves through a difficult time when there are plenty of government-sponsored small business loans and pandemic assistance available. I did not realize that by into business with this woman I would become personally fiscally responsible for her existence. PLEASE let others know!! It is fraud if someone steals your money under the guise of giving you goods and services BUT REFUSE. read more

I rented a chair a month in advance the day before my event someone else rented it ok fine but I wasn't notified so I go to pick up the chair and was told it was rented ok what am I gonna do they promised to deliver the chair I think 9am it wasn't delivered until 12:30 maybe almost 1pm the Imani called and let me know they we're running late I said ok I mean what else was I gonna say I needed the chair I paid for them a driver called me around 4/5pm trying to pick it up I told him no so they came back I didn't notice the chair was gone until maybe an hour after they came no communication no nothing I paid $150 for a rental and I was unsatisfied with the service not the chair just the communication of the whole event read more

I did everything online through their website and even though their was minor bumps and bruises along the way, everything turned out excellent! I was so happy with the results. Obsessed, really. The website is a little tricky because it has a minimum spend for certain zip codes and my confirmation couldn't be located when I called to confirm but these were minor things. They easily found it. The team was so professional. They accommodated when I asked for a last minute change in time and they arrived and came to pick up on time. Friendly staff and they call to confirm the day before. My only tip would be to make sure you have people who can carry and move around heavy props. If you don't, make sure to add the set-up fee when purchasing. I worried about this the night before the event but the next morning they called me back and assured me that no toolkit is required and the men in my house should be able to set-up. Overall, I would highly recommend and already had folks asking me where I rented the props from. Oh, and they have soooo many props to choose from! read more

I rented the LOVE table and it looked amazing at our wedding!! Definitely would recommend! Going with this table saved me from spending money on two table cloths for my sweetheart table and cake table as well as decor surrounding the two tables, best of all, everyone at my reception wanted to take pictures with it after we did our first dance to L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole which, by the way, went great with the table! Very disappointing was really excited to support Imani business but turns out the customer service was horrible. The delivery girl was rude and refused to delivery the backdrop to the level of the Resort . Then the prop was left unset up and broken . We ended up paying some guys to help set up. If there was an extra fee to set up you should let the customer know . It shouldn't be a option not to have set . All the other vendors we used for the event including set up without an option. PLATINUM PROP RENTAL (previously Platinum candy buffet) We rented the LOVE table from platinum candy buffet. The minute I found it (about 1 year before our actual wedding) I instantly fell in love and reserved it. The price was reasonable as there was another company that rented it for 2x the price. Delivery fee was inexpensive as well. Imani was easy work with via email and quickly answered all my questions. On the day of, they were on time and delivery/setup/pick up was a breeze. The only minor issue we had was a few days before our wedding I got an email from my coordinator and she said that my signed contract was 'misplaced' by the company.
