BUT the concessions service was abysmal - indifferent bordering on flagrantly rude, refused to provide some plain water in cups with our order, and then had the nerve when we ordered a bottle of water to refuse to provide more than two small plastic cups with it so that we could divy it up. We went to play and spin Today, my son who is 10 years old wanted to ride the go Kart, which he has been doing since last 3 times we went to play and spin at niles...they have different rule every time ....employees who work their don't know shittttt.....it depends on the mood of the employee if they allow you to drive the go kart even though you are half inch shorter then the required height or sometime if they are not in good mood they won't allow kids who are just HALF inch shorter then the required height ..... So my son went to the go kart and the three employees working there said if he is half an inch shorter then it's fine and then he sat in the car he put on the seat belt and last moment all of sudden Manager came and asked my son to get OFF the car and infront of all his friends, they asked my son to get off and told him that he can't drive.... They were so stupid , ppl don't know shit there, they should have decided the RULES before and not when the kids already start playing ...... I came here with my dad and little sister. My dad met up with his friend PJ, who works Security. PJ was really cool and sweet toward us. The Staff at the front was Awesome. This place was destine to be fantastic for this area. The problems that they have is service. I came with three children, it took FOREVER just to check in with a prepaid coupon, not only that, they are the most unenthused staff that I have ever met, in the mean time the kids are literally climbing out of their skin cause they want to play. First time here for my family and friends. It's a pretty cool place with lots of activities to keep your children busy. Games, Go Karts, virtual reality, laser tag, televisions, and more. Two issues: They need more games, not many to choose from and the customer service. When available, customer service and staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk doesn't keep staff at it all the time, so we had to wait at times for someone to come back a few times. Perhaps a night with less available staff. This is a cool concept, but the devil is in the details and this place definitely needs some tweaking in that regard. The food is costly and pretty bad. My son's hot dog had a stale bun and my daughter's "Italian beef" came on square white bread with no sauce or garnishes. There is supposedly a nail salon here, but they can't seem to find anyone to staff it so it's never open. More than anything, Play & Spin is EXPENSIVE. My kids (ages 8 and 12) can each burn through $50 in video game credits in about 45 minutes. The other attractions (besides the arcade games) all cost extra and you can't pay for them using game credits. My kids certainly enjoy it-- it's a huge, clean, open space with really cool arcade games, go-kart racing, a cafeteria, a virtual reality station, and even a small but fully equipped laser tag room. You can win points by playing games and then redeem them for prizes in the gift shop. But we can't afford to go here more than about once a year. read more

Attended a birthday party here a few weeks ago. Games require a ton of credits. The card refill kiosk didn't work using a debit card. Many of the games were out of order with no one working on fixing them. Staff seemed uninterested in being there. Food was ok. Game variety is not good compared to other places. This place was alright. Arcade was extremely expensive, go carts were slow but safe for preschoolers, smells like dirty feet, no one there can count and everyone is rude. For some reason there was a nail salon which I didn't try. It's hard to win prizes. The only good part was the bartender and the ping pong. The bar tender was super nice and helped out a lot and you could rent ping pong tables per hour. There was ten age service. You could order food from the bar but not eat at any of the tables. There are fun things for kids and even adults (including beer) to do here. However, customer service is greatly lacking. Laser tag guy talked my wife in circles about the next available time. It was ridiculous and hard to understand. We stood in front of five employees at the snack counter while most of them focused on one person in front of us trying to figure what ice cream he wanted. I finally waved my hands to all the people waking around and looking around, completely ignoring us, and said "Is anybody available to like serve us?" I had six thirsty girls with me. And when we needed help because a machine took points off the card but didn't let us play, the girl I talked to barely uttered a word in response. Several workers seemed put out that we approached them for help. There are other places with better service and options in the area. At first glance place is clean and spacious. I waited an extremely long time to check in because they only had 1 staff member working at the desk for both check in and prizes. Some games were broken and it was very hard to find people to help with that. Once we were done playing we went to redeem our tickets for prizes. I had spent $50 for 1 child to play. We had 800 tickets and all she could buy was candy. The other prizes were over 1,000 tickets. I was so disappointed and I nicely said something about there only being candy to a manager and she didn't even acknowledge me. We left with no prizes, a very disappointed 6 year old and down $50. I really want to like this place. It's easy to find parking, it's clean, spacious, and has a decent bar so you can have a drink while you meander around the arcade. The bar is separated from the food so you can just walk up and grab a drink to avoid long lines at the food counter. Tickets won are also stored on your game card so you don't have to carry around wads of tickets. But, these are all peripheral conveniences. What you're there for is to play games and that's the most disappointing part. The selection is mostly made up of quick slot machine style ticket dispensing games which are overly expensive for what you get. A credit is 25 cents and each game is between 4 to 8 credits. Games that give ticket prizes usually last about 10 seconds, so you can go through $20 in about ten mins easy. While a jackpot could get you around 1000 tickets you actually end up walking away with about ten to twenty. After playing $20 worth of games, we ended up with a few tootsie roll style candies with all our ticket winnings. The service isn't any better. We went during the week on a school day and the place was empty, but even then the service was slow, inaccurate, and unfriendly. Can't imagine what it's like on a busy weekend. I've been a few times now, but I don't think I'll be going back. Here's how you could turn it around for me in a minute. 1. Drop the prices of the games stat! I'm not spending more than $20 on games. Sorry! So instead, keep me there longer by reducing the game prices, which would cost you nothing, as the high prices aren't convincing me to spend more, it's just causing me to leave faster and the faster I leave, the less likely I am to buy food or drink or to come back at all. 2. I am giving this place five stars but it's really a three-and-a-half to four star place. The five stars are because the negative reviews are unfair, I think. All the positive things people say about this place are true, it's clean, they have awesome chicken wings, the service is friendly, and the games are of moderate interest level and not too expensive. The go-karts are great and so is the laser tag. The amount of time you get to play, especially for laser tag is definitely a deal. Most of the arcade games are $.50 a person. I'm not sure where you can play air hockey's less than that. The difference between this place and let's say, Chuck is cheese is Play and Spin has triple the space, better quality games and more responsible acting employees. Overall it is better organized and executed. A good example is the bar, it it a full service bar with liquor set aside with ping pong tables. There is no waiting in line with 10 people buying pizza to get a beer. It is difficult to find a place with this variety of things to do Under One Roof. I don't know where people think they are going to play arcade games for less than $0.50 a game and if your kids aren't interested in go-karts or laser tag, I don't know what to tell you, take them to Great America. Also this place has a bar with real drinks and free ping pong, women can also get their nails done at the spa. What more can you ask for? read more

Though I and the person next to me both paid for a deluxe pedicure, she got a completely different and more treatment than I. My manicure included no lotion at all. Worst of all, the person I had spoke no English at all. She never smiled and had an angry look on her face most of the time.
