i ordered a nutelloco with protein powder with half acai once getting to the acai side i noticed clumps of unmixed protein powder. not only this but watching one employee kept touching their hair and hat with their gloves( defeating the entire purpose of using them!) in the end this did this disappoint me. read more

I have sensitive teeth so I'll need to do more research on my own for the next time. Paid $26 for two smoothie bowls that are no where near as large as some of the other smoothie bowl locations in Louisville. Went during lunch hour and was told it would be a 20 min wait. We waited 55 minutes before getting our food. I understand they are short staffed, but this should be something that is taken care of at this point OR is told to customers ahead of time rather than playing down the time wait. My Açaí bowl was made so perfect and it taste exactly the way I needed it... fresh!!!!! The service was great and the manger/ owner is a very nice woman. She was friendly and talked to me about how she got started, what's she learned over time, etc. I love the ambiance of the beach vibe, great music, very chill inside. The amount of options is a little overwhelming at first. But once you realize that most of it is the base of your bowl and the rest are just toppings it narrows it down a bit. The base and toppings are made to order so they are very fresh and refreshing. They are very tasty and perfect topping to base ratio for most. The bowls are a good size too. With bowls ranging from $9 to $13 it's pretty reasonably priced. Plus the staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. read more

Have seen ads for Playa Bowls and since I was in the area, decided to try it for the first time. I reviewed the online menu before walking inside. The decorations were bright, colorful and gave off a fun beach-like vacation vibe. I really liked the inside and although there were 2 tables already taken, I noticed the tables/sets were clean and plentiful. The menu inside was much larger than what I found online. I chose to try the Nutelloco bowl. It has a coconut base. I like coconut but wasn't sure what to expect but it was amazingly refreshing and delicious! My teen promptly grabbed a spoon and took part of my bowl! She got a Kowabunga smoothie and said it was okay, but she seemed to enjoy my bowl more. I signed up for their rewards program and within an hour had already received a discount for my next bowl. I will absolutely be using that discount! I can't wait to make a trip back there! I drove out to try this place with my kid and after perusing the menu for 10 minutes, I go to the front counter and I'm told there's a 50 minute wait. Employees should tell people that as soon as they walk in the door. It was weird because there was no line to order. I ordered the Tide Bowl, which consists of the banana mixture, kiwi, pineapples, mangos, and a few other things. First off, it took at least 25-35 mins to get, and when I asked if something had happened to my order, they said they were just about to put the toppings on... it was not that many people in the restaurant either. But my bowl was great, except for the fact that the mangos weren't ripe and it had the skin or the rind of the mango so it was very sour and hard. It was very unpleasant to eat.
