We came here a day before Mother's Day when they opened, we were also celebrating ny dad's 79th birthday. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The restaurant had some dim lit areas for a chill vibe. There were booths, tables, and a small bar in the back corner. The sodas were delicious and my sister really enjoyed her Arnold Palmer. Everyone ordered a different array of plates, but before our meals came out they had complimentary garlic twist rolls that were addictive. We must have had around 3 refills on both baskets (and they packed some up in foil for each to go box). I myself had the chicken carbonera, and my husband the shrimp Alfredo. He used to work at Olive Garden for a number of years and could tell that this pasta was authentic (compared to Olive Garden's pasta). He wished his plate had a bit more shrimp in it, but other than that, no complaints. Great sauces on both our dishes. My dad was surprised with a free tiramasu slice that was airy, sweet, but not overly sweet, we each took a bite. We'll definitely be going back again!

First, we made a reservation for 8:00. Once we walked in and told the hostesses they let us know a table would be ready in just a minute. We stood waiting at the front with no updated for 15 minutes while they sat and talked and scrolled through their phones. It was so frustrating we nearly walked out and honestly; we probably should have. It took a waiter noticing us that finally asked the hostesses if we were waiting on a table for them to get us seated. Our waiter was incredible. He did take great care of us and didn't mind when we had two more people join us unplanned. We did sit inside because it was a colder night. The inside of the restaurant is just not set up well in my opinion. When you're waiting at the front, you're basically on top of a table of diners. The tables are all very close to each other and it feels like it's a very tight space. I do believe that the patio is a better vibe for seating, but we didn't really get to check it out. The food was just okay. It wasn't bad but I also wasn't very impressed. We shared the mediterranean sampler. I ordered the chicken piccata while my husband had the sausage bianco pizza. It was just kind of average. It is always busy when we drive by, so it does seem to be a place that people love. It just wasn't for us and we likely won't be back, especially given how pricy it was for how average it is.

We never felt rushed through our meal. Each course arrived at just the right time--only after the previous plates had been cleared. It was a pleasure to enjoy a restaurant that understands the pace of a great dining experience. The homemade pasta was exceptional, and you can truly taste the difference. The sauces were vibrant, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made fresh. Every dish at our table was excellent. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, outstanding service, and a relaxed dining experience, Papa Amadeos is well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back!

First is the ambience. There was an oddly placed parquet floor and a monitor showing dolphins swimming? Wtf? The bread was, and I don't say this lightly, the worst. I mean, it's bread...seems like low hanging fruit for a restaurant. Suffice it to say, the meal did not make up for the shortcomings. I mean hey, if this is what you're into with all of the other top-tier options available nearby then knock yourself out. As for me and mine, Papa Amadeos will remain an odd, perplexing enigma that we will choose not to revisit.

We got artichoke spinach dip, the tortellini with spicy Italian sausage added, the other pasta with sun-dried tomato and mushroom, and some pizzas for the kids. Everybody loved their food and the service was outstanding. The one thing that I feel like really brings the place down is the free bread. Not that they have it, because everybody likes that. But they appear to be Rhodes rolls served in a puddle of olive oil. I'm always excited for Italian bread and Thai was a disappointment, especially after how good the rest of the food was. I would also like to see mild Italian sausage as an option. The spicy was good but it was a sensitive stomach day for me and it was irritated by the spicy. I realize I could have not gotten sausage at all but I'd love a mild Italian option. The artichoke spinach dip was delicious and was served with the perfect amount of crusty bread. Even the little kids asked for more. The pastas were perfectly sauced and flavored. I didn't find them to be skimpy on sauce or toppings. A very nice balance of flavor. The shaved Asiago (or Parmesan?) was a lovely touch too. I love real cheese! I didn't personally try the pizza because I was too full from the pasta, but my husband and the kids loved it and it appeared perfectly cooked and house made.

Now the portions are noticeably smaller, several of my favorite dishes are no longer on the menu, and the food just doesn't have the same taste it once did. It's not bad, but it's become pretty average. I really hope they bring back the quality, menu, and generous portions that made so many people love this place.
